I think the way she looks is the giveaway. It's not just that she's attractive, it's the kind of attractive they went with. She looks just a little too much like the typical James Bond trap lady.

They purposely didn't make her look like this:

I suppose so, (she did sort of look like a Batman: The Animated Series character) but Suki was also pretty attractive and she wasn't evil.

I think it has to do with the hair. Long flowing black hair = evil.

People make that equation? Hmmm. That's kinda odd, I must admit.

You mean Talia al Ghul? Yeah, she's was manipulative as well, though she does love Bruce/Batman.

I just meant that her overall design looked a bit "off" when compared to the other LoK characters, but you're right. She does favor Talia al Ghul.

hnnnng so cute~

way better looking than Asami

Finally saw the episode.
Wat made this episode for me is the flashback seems like we'll get some backstory of wat happened to Ang and the gang as the series progress

Also If Zuko and his Uncle's Tea restaurant became successful

When Asami was first revealed, Brian(?) made it obvious in his Twitter account that she was deliberatedly inspired by Lust from FMA.

I don't know. Why is white often the color of good in fiction?

It just is.

Various reasons. We have an inherent fear of the dark because it's a time we are more vulnerable. It's something that's been around since we came into being. So we see darkness as evil, and what takes away darkness? Light. It's also cultural. In eastern culture, white is the color of death.

Honestly, entire books can be written about why white and black represent good and evil in our minds. I'm sure there are reasons why we associate characters that look like Asami as femme fatales.

i love how tenzin got fucking pissed at
dbag tarlock for suggesting hes on the same level as aang. shit, that pissed me off too lol

but does that mean
aang actually killed someone? they were saying aang did "what he had to do" or something along those lines

No.
There was obviously a trial, so Aang likely just captured him.

Episode aired, no more spoiler tags needed.

And I don't see Aang killing anyone. Not especially since he didn't kill Firelord Ozai who tried to commit genocide on the Earth Kingdom.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Aang would never back down on his "dont kill" philosophy.

It goes against his entire upbringing, and I'm sure the public would go "wtf????" if he killed some dude after going to great lengths to avoid killing a man who was going to go on a genocidal rampage.

Finally saw the episode, love the animation here. Also the way they did the whole 'Korra is afraid' thing is much more human than what they did in The Last Airbender. Fantastic stuff.

Given the current info, the most logical reason is that the council recognizes individual nations. The earth kingdom, big as it is, has always been represented as a single unified state. So they just got to roll with senate rules instead.

I imagine if a section of the earth kingdom had secceded and instituted their own government they would be represented as well.

This matches my interpretation.

If it's not there now, just keep checking back later. Nobody knows what they're doing at this point.

Chances are the leaks have burned them on putting them up at the moment so they are trying to figure out how to secure the website so it doesn't happen again.

I am just speculating though.

I wonder what role Toph's daughter is going to play. Leading (and probably training) a police force of metal benders probably means she's a really bad ass earth bender.

Loving this show so far. But it seems like everyone got way better at bending though. Metal benders used to be super rare. Lightning benders as well used to be true masters of fire bending, but a bunch of them work in factories like it's no big thing for a fire bender to use lightning.

We have yet to see the current air bending master use his craft as well and I'm looking forward to that.

I really thought Korra's "avatar state" would have kicked in by now as a survival mechanism...especially with how close she came this time.

I have a good feeling there will be an episode where Korra is about to get fucked up and Toph's daughter appears out of nowhere and goes boss on some motherfuckers. Maybe even Amon. Head of police force and being Tophs daughter means you are a badass. And Tenzin should be as strong or stronger. Can't wait to see them own. Korra is badass her self but not smart.

It obviously is it they're being paid a lot, and a triad boss gets a feared nickname because of it.

Aang would never back away from his idealogy, he was willing to sacrifice his own life energy bending just to prove it. That is a character defining moment right there.

Wasn't the previous Airbender Avatar brutal as shit, though? I assume she was raised in the same manner. I attribute his nonviolence more to him being a naive kid, but that's just me.
Yangchen was described as one who would do whatever it takes to ensure peace and her time as avatar was peaceful. You can extrapolate whatever youd like from that but even she, when speaking to Aang on top the lion turtle, never told him to kill Ozai.

I just went back and checked. All Yangchen told him was that he needed to think of the world before he thought of himself. None of the other avatars did. Roku told him to be decisive. Kyoshi told him that only justice would bring peace. And Koru told him he needs to shape his own destiny. None of them told him to kill Ozai (though Kyoshi implied it more than the others)

Just saw the episode and it was great. The music was outstanding during the chi blocker raid. I'm so glad this has some actual orchestrated music. Sometimes the synthesizer sound in the first series was a bit distracting.

The hate for Asami is pretty..disturbing, actually. She's had like 4 lines! I hope her and Korra become friends pretty quick, I don't want the show to set them up against each other for too long. Lin showing up in her police armor at the party to basically tell Korra she sucks was hilarious.
