I'm seriously thinking about getting H2 for the PC, especially with that wireless receiver being available. My main comp right now is a laptop with an integrated graphics card. I bought it last summer, so I assume it will run the game well? I only ask because integrated cards have been known to be unbelievably bad.

Only way to be certain is to get the game, really.

Although, in your position, I would pirate the game (don't hate), since there is no demo that I've been able to find. Obviously online won't work, but it would give you the answer you're looking for via campaign, I would think. Then buy it if it does work.

lol No no... you do not even come close. I was scared for his family last night. I was certain I'd wake up and see "young man goes on 5 state murder spree and blames Halo" in the headlines. I mean we could not play 2 seconds (very literal time frame lol) without "f this mother f'ing game, f bloom, f jetpack, f no bloom, f the internet, f the map, f everyone including himself. I don't think Shadow uttered a single comprehensible word that would be suitable for the ears of women or small children. It was amazing and belongs in a recording. Sadly, the boot could not be stayed.

Damn, that's awesome! I love that the game can still throw curve balls a decade later. I almost played some Anni last night, but opted for Halo 3. Had a blast with it. I had't beat Halo 3's "Halo" level on legendary on my new 360, so I went for that. In the past I had always rushed through that first encounter in the snow drifts, surviving mostly by chance. This time I grabbed a shotgun and BR and hung back, and it was SO MUCH easier. I don't know why I didn't do that before, haha.

So I had several games in a row yesterday of team mates auto quitting when match starts. Super frustrating. When it happened for a third time in a row, I played to the end, then quit out since the other team was tbagging me. Next game same shit, so I quit again.

Figured I'd call it there, since the third quit generally penalizes you anyway, and I saw where my bad luck was headed.

Quick question about some general ways to improve for 1v1 encounters:

I know there's a rhythm to tapping the DMR, but I swear sometimes I get shot 3 times in the head by someone, when I try I need 4+, and this is at full shields/health. Is there ways to improve my firing technique or is it just random or connection latency related?

Also, I know of the "trick" to face your character's head straight down if your shields drop and you're going to lose a 1v1 fire fight so you make yourself a harder target for the head. Is there any other ones like this or tips in general? I want to improve now in Reach to hopefully make strides in H4.

I'm by no means pro, or even good at all, but I've found a good technique is to shoot for the body first, then the head as the shields pop. Shooting the body does the same amount of damage as the head, but is a bigger target, so combined with bloom, should allow more bullets to hit, even when shooting faster.

Another good tip is to crouch as it tightens the bloom mechanic by a decent amount (when shooting long distance, this is almost mandatory for me). You can also try throwing in the occasional crouch mid-battle to throw a less dextrous player off. I notice a lot of the better players doing that, along with strafing, jumping and "Ghandi-hopping" (which is repeatedly tapping crouch while you jump to constantly change the location of your head).

Just watched the Conan skit with Frankles, and I know I'm LTTP.

Was he really that mad at Conan? Or was it just part of the sketch? It was funny either way. You could cut the tension with a knife. And you could tell it was like 8am, all of them looked tired. Him and Ms. Wolfkill looked legitimately upset at him trivializing his role in the crew of the Infinity.
