Final month to E3 2012: GAF's Predictions

May is knocking at the door (some of our members of the East may already be there) as we are entering the final month before E3 2012, the best time of the year for NeoGAF.
So let's have our predictions list!

But first what are the things we could expect to see at E3 2012?

Microsoft:

- Last year and the year before, Microsoft had a very strong Kinect presence, may you like it or not. E3 2012 will most likely bring more of this.
- Halo 4 seems far along in development, so a demo on stage shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.
- Neither should be a stage demo of the next Call of Duty; Black Ops 2 (which should be revealed May 1st.)
- Fable: The Journey could also make a comeback, a game we haven't really heard about since last year.
- New multimedia applications are expected to be revealed as well.
- We can also expect some surprises, assuming nothing is leaked right before the conference this year.

Nintendo:

- As everybody probably knows, Nintendo will drop the facts about the Wii U this year as a "re-reveal". Everything should be convered from the OS to the launch line-up and the online network. Price and release date will be kept to a later date, as Nintendo usually does anyway.
- Pikmin 3 has been confirmed to be present and will likely be the flagship title of the Wii U's release, as well as its graphical showcase. (The reason Pikmin 3 was moved from the Wii to the Wii U especially being the HD and improved graphics.)
- We've known since November 2011 that a 3DS Zelda is in the works, a trailer and maybe even a playable version could be possible.
- New Super Mario Bros. 2 will also most likely be present in trailer and demo form.
- More details on Nintendo's recent turn to digital distribution, announced at the last investor meeting.

Sony:

- Sony is having a bit of trouble with the PS Vita, so we can expect some major announcements regarding it.
- The Playstation 3 First-Party offering is still alive and kicking, with games like God of War: Ascension and Playstation All-Star Battle Royale pretty much guaranteed to be shown and playable.
- The Last of US trailer and stage demo. Somehow Nolan North is there.
- Some third-party exclusives are likely as well.

So GAF, what are YOUR predictions for this year's E3?
(Yeah, I know, I don't have a lot on Sony.)

Bonus Question: Overall, will this E3 be better than last year's, or any other past E3 (specify which)?

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
When did that happen?
It's happened multiple times, don't remember when though. Probably something from Ubisoft/EA/Microsoft.

They will show a great campaign demo of Halo 4 and I'll complain that they showed too much because I've become a bit of an asshole. :-/

Nintendo cancels WiiU and switches to iOS development. Pokemon MMO shown as a 3rd person action RPG.

Apple and Valve make a console, they show it and it looks like shit.

Microsoft's entire conference is dedicated to Dragonball Z Kinect.

Sony announces that FF Versus XIII and The Last Guardian have been cancelled. They drop out of the video game business a week later.

Nintendo
- Dates for WiiU release. If they really want to come out before Christmas 2012.

Regarding Microsoft and Sony I have no hype. Sega might surprise me. That's it.

Killzone 4 is very likely right? Or was it supposed to be a new IP? Also very likely we see more on the last of us.

Final Fantasy VII Remake
Final Fantasy Versus XIII renamed to XV multiplatforms
Final Fantasy V Portamake
Final Fantasy XIV 2.0 F2P
Kingdom Hearts HD Collections

Nintendo should put the E3 demo of NSMB2 on the eShop, since it's likely going to be from the final build as it's launching two months after.

I want unexpected things Nintendo. I want to watch the conference and go: "HOLY CRAP! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!" in the good way.

Do not dissapoint.

Exactly one out of the two perpetually teased games of Half Life 3 and The Last Gaurdian will be announced for release sometime before E3 2013. If it's the last guardian it will hit the release date, if its Half Life 3 expect it in 2014.

Outside of that hell I don't know. Maybe an Unreal engine 4 tech demo?

Really hoping for a 3DS CP Pro redesign!

... or a cheaper $99 non-3D version of the 3DS.
I think it'll be a while before something like this happens. It's still selling like hotcakes isn't it?

non-3D would be dumb tho on Nintendo's part

I just don't see any way that Pikmin 3 is Nintendo's primary launch title - most people have no clue what Pikmin is. It will definitely have a large presence but even Luigi's Mansion was a bigger sell for the Gamecube because people know who Luigi is IMO.

Nintendo will show off Retro's game, and some kickass HD re-releases. And will have EA come onto the stage to demo a game, maybe Madden 2013 with hot routes and audibles utilizing the uPad.

and if they want to make me personally happy, a complete 3D remake of Link to the Past for WiiU :). It would save them some time not having to worry about making a story haha.

Nintendo
- Full Wii U reveal. OS, specs, full capabilities of the controller.
- Pikmin 3 plus maybe a handful of other first party titles between launch and March 2013 or something
- Third party Wii U stuff. Or, just Resident Evil 6, please.
- More info and confirmed dates for the likes of Animal Crossing, Luigis Mansion and Paper Mario on 3DS
- New first party 3DS games

Don't give a shit what anyone else is doing.

I predict i will be very very hyped for the Nintendo Conference.

Please have decent anti aliassing Nintendo... Please let Pikmin 3 be awesome!!!!
Please don't include Miis in a Mario game.

Microsoft- Nothing of note due to an over-reliance on COD, Kinect, and Halo.

Sony- Vita price drop for September, new games that will probably be kind of cool but won't make a dent from a sales perspective. God of War single player demo and maybe an Assassin's Creed 3 demo.

Nintendo- Wii U games revealed and demo'ed, most likely from Nintendo. A large list of third parties that say they love the system and pledge support will be shown but none of them will ever actually give it support. New 3DS games shown too.

Really? How much and when? I haven't seen any of it. (Except for the "It's not on rails, guys!" thing.)

It was at Microsoft's spring showcase and every gaming site that was there likely did a preview on it.

Also been talked about in the various interviews with Peter and Lionhead people when Peter announced he was starting his own company.
