Unless I can find a ridiculous deal on microsoft points I'll probably give this a miss.

And for the record this should have been available at launch.

It's also scandalous that EA are including the B2K map pack as part of the deal.

I don't know if this is bad. Paying for expansion packs has always been a thing for Battlefield, so unless the content provided is unimpressive I don't understand any possible backlash. It's just a new model they're trying.

Mind you I adore BF3 on PC so I'm probably a bit biased here.

For people who don't have Karkand, it's $25 cheaper for all the expansions, plus you get early access and some extras. For people who have Karkand, it's $10 cheaper. I don't see what the problem is here.

Won't each dlc expansion cost 1200 mp? If you plan on getting it all this is cheaper right. Its out on June 4th so I assume that means you get the CQ pack right away. I don't really love this as a thing, but it isn't awful either.

Edit: Yeah, I will probably get this.

Im gonna buy all the DLC but the premium package... hhmhm dunno.

I'm buying it. I was going to buy all the DLC anyways, this way I get it cheaper, earlier, and with a bunch of bonuses.

I can't think of a more useless game to have cosmetic items. Like I'm gonna stop to admire someones unintelligibly unique camo or knife after I killed them in the heat of a battle. Anyone who pays money strictly on that basis is truly an idiot.

B2K being included in this deal rubs me the wrong way. I already have it for free so all it does is take away value.

The only thing I don't like is queue priority, but shouldn't be a big problem with server browser. Either way, if you plan to buy all the DLC, premium is a nice way of getting it.

Exactly. It's not a big deal.

June 4th is going to be a busy day between this and all the press conferences.

Unless they are going to price the other 4 expansions at 15$ each, I think it is cheaper to just buy premium if you are expecting to play BF3 through all of them. Anyone who has B2K from preordering/buying the LE is already in deep I assume.

I doubt they are going to take away the option to buy BF Premium so soon. I mean, you could wait for all the expansions to release and go on sale (B2K went as low as -50%) but I guess Premium isn't aimed for you anyway.

The idea of camo is to blend in and not get noticed. :p

FUCK NO! BF3 didn't even stick with me as much as earlier games so now it looks like I may pass up future BFs just like I'm off CODs.

Life without a military FPS to look forward to? Maybe it's for the best!

Compared to COD Elite it's downright horrible especially since there won't even be another BF game this year unlike COD with BOPS2 which will be compatible.

It's $10-$25 bucks off the full price of all the expansions plus some goodies. It's not terrible.

Unrelated - what is Elite going to carry over into BOPS2? Like are the maps carrying over? What is the ratio of cost between a year of elite vs buying the map packs seperately for MW3?

Well corporations have to eat too and they can't do that unless there's people who make poor decisions with their money. So by all means go for it.

Day 1 for me too. I love BF3 on PC and plan to keep playing through all the expansions since I'm not too interested in any upcoming shooters, and buying this now will get me that with a cheaper total plus extra stuff. What is there to be upset about exactly?

If you want all the maps, this is a good deal. If not, you can skip it and just get the ones you want. I don't see how anyone is being scammed or cheated or anything like that.

You should be thankful that they don't have the same calculator as Apple or you'll be saying that
1$ is not = 1.5€
That still makes it far more expensive for a euro payer. It's either 10 to cheap or to expensive. The MS points choice seems to be the best one with 35€ for 4.2k points, if I would only use a console for that game...

It's a bit ironic to see a Battlefield F2P advert at the bottom of the page.

How is it horrible? I get support for a game i like [not next year 60$ release] and i get much more content then in COD.

yeah! and im a sucker for anything Battlefield -related. Even bought the silly dogtag packs even though i just use one tag in it.

I have absolutely no interest in extra camos/skins.
I already have Back to Karkand.
I'm not really excited for Close Quarters.

I play Battlefield for the vehicle combat, so I'll probably get Armored Kill.

I'll wait and see what Aftermath and End Game include (vehicle-wise), but by then I'll probably just be playing Halo 4. Maybe if B2K had been replaced by another DLC offering I'd be okay with $50, but I think I'll just wait and pay $15 on two or three map packs.

Am I missing something? I mean, I see a bunch of posts bashing this new premium service but all I see is that you can potentially save $10. Seems like a fair deal, specially for people like me who play this game daily and were planning on buying all the new map packs anyways.

Since I'm getting the game for PC soon, this will save my $25. I'm ok with it, if only for that reason.

In its current and future state, this game has less in common with Battlefield and more with Call of Duty. Not seeing the return of Battlefield moments any time soon with twitchy close quarters matches with people deflecting nerf bullets with flashlight beams.

I am not sure who will sign up. I am already bored with the game.

The game is no eye candy and people seem to move on when something new with flashy graphics comes out.
