Nintendo's stream just asked for my date of birth, and my birth year (1985) wasn't there! D:

The hype is so strong it erased my past!

How many bits?

NES - 8

SNES - 16

N64 - 64

All info below is totally legit. >_>

GC - 128

Wii - 129

Wii U - 512

Wow, no wonder a lot of devs had no idea what the actual power of the system would be. No frequencies, bandwidth, ALU, ROP info, really all they had to go on was how the system was performing with the code they were putting into it.

Yep. They were left to figure it out for themselves.

Welcome and join the party.

ARRRRGGG! I CAN'T!!! I have to work until 5 hours from now and when I do get home my girlfriend's brother and his family will be there staying over for a few days. But my girl being a big Nintendo fan like me said that she'll have the laptop and a 6pack for me in the bedroom so I can enjoy the conference spoiler free and isolated. In other words I'm about to go on blackout until then. Enjoy the show though and I'll be posting more in WiiU threads in the future.

Quoted from Wikipedia. If I'm to understand this right, ES 2.0 is compatible with API code from OpenGL 4.1 and up? I mean, it has a dedicated tessilator, so that is no longer my worry. And it supports some pretty HIGH high-res textures. Along with the ability to do 16x anisotropic filtering and 4x MSAA, that's pretty damned ahead of this gen.

Yeah it definitely has tessellation capabilites, but the question has been is it old (which would put that area on par with 360) or is it using a current tess unit.

I hope there are some games that graphically surpass some of the best looking games we saw yesterday. Yes yes specs don't matter but at least some games should look better than the best MS and Sony had to offer on 6 year old consoles.

Please!

the Nintendo stream seems on air, showing a grey Nintendo logo on white backround (on the edges different grey, silver tones)

*hype*

Predictions: The Final Countdown

- Confirmation of only 1 Wii U game pad support
- Console box will be shown
- No multiple SKUs
- White & Black launch colors
- Wii remote & nunchuck won't be bundled with console
- 720p will be standard resolution (Nintendo may just not admit it since 1080p has mostly been a buzzword)
(may get 1080p for New SMB Wii U & Wii U Mii-based titles)
- 99% of third-party current-gen multiplatform titles will look identical
- No Zelda Wii U
- Pikmin 3 trailer (but the visuals won't be as stylized as we would have liked)
- NFC tech demo
- Aliens: Colonial Marines demo/trailer
- Darksiders 2 demo/trailer
- No Super Smash Brothers news (at least no screens or footage)
- Mii complication Wii U title will be offered as a bundled freebie
- Monolith Soft title a no-show
- Retro Studios teaser trailer (not a launch title)
- Can't quite decide if 3DS Zelda 3DS will be there or not. If it is, then it likely means half of the Zelda team was making it (like they did with Spirit Tracks) until Skyward Sword's development was completed. (The DS Zelda titles were announced at GDC)
- New Super Mario Brothers Wii U will be the first packaged game to be offered as an optional downloadable title.
- Second-party mystery title published by Nintendo (let it be Eternal Darkness 2)
- No Fire Emblem localization news
- May have to wait until hardware discussion conference for confirmation of Wii game data transfer to Wii U via SD card
- Confirmation of Virtual Console's return
- May have to wait until hardware discussion for possible GameCube virtual console support/HD collection
- No F-zero announcement
- Wii gets price cut

No additional functions
I just went back and watched the Nintendo Direct video again. Here are some summaries I haven't seen people talk about alot:

- E3 will focus almost entirely on Wii U. Sounds like there will be some 3DS stuff, but the main focus will be Wii U.
- Wii U gamepad is a fully independent TV remote
- Showing asymmetrical gameplay at E3.
- No delay when streaming to the Wii U gamepad
- Most memorable experiences on Wii was playing together. They think the Wii U will expand that. Hopefully they'll be as successful as Wii.
- Post screenshots and content to others, even for for non-online, single player games
- ZombieU, Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Donkey Kong and Yoshi icons were present on the Miiverse title screen. Is this a hint that we'll see all of these games? I think so, but maybe not all of them this year.
