Edit: What I'm getting at is the fact that there wasn't any reason to assume the Quincy were actually the final villains beyond just hand waving the fact it could sort of make sense. It's not compelling to me, partially because instead of actually giving us any reason to care, Kubo just skipped to 10,000 fights.

It was implied by Ishida Souken tha that there might be another war between shinigami and quincies. Souken said that the war between the 2 should not happen again. I think that´s pretty big implication that there are quincies out there bent on revenge. But i will give you that the quincies were implied that there are the final villain. And maybe the quincies are not the final villain.

Technically, it's moving to "Jump NEXT" but that only comes out on Japanese holidays so it's essentially cancelled. The reason is that the author wants to take care of his kid.

One the one hand, I just recently got into this manga and I'm sad that it is basically gone before it has finished, but author taking care of his kid is a legitimate reason to change to a schedule that give shim more free time. I just hope this manga gets a proper conclusion.

Plus it would make no sense to push out OP when Bleach and Naruto ending soon .
