Dont know if this has been posted yet or not..

Do we have some Famitsu numbers for it.. we can get the idea of mix of download & shipment/sold numbers..

It's been posted, but it's lost in the thread amongst the Monster Hunter War #45 between Nintendo and Sony fanboys, so I don't blame you for not seeing it.

I mentioned earlier about fatigue, but i wouldnt have said that if i knew about that TriG doesnt have any new content (isnt there really anything new? Not even a small weapon or monster?). I think this is a bigger factor that plays into the sales.

I think that MH4 will have a lot of new content, so that should be very interesting for people, which results in much higher sales.

EDIT: About Ragnarok Odyssey. I guess this means that the download number is around 30k? I think this is about the same as Gravity Rush had.

Vita Game Rankings
1. Metal Gear Solid HD Edition - 219 ratings
2. Assault Gunners* - 265 ratings
3. Persona 4: The Golden - 1803 ratings
4. Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Battle Destiny - 621 ratings
5. Escape Plan* - 1419 ratings
6. Ciel No Surge - 2470 ratings
7. Ragnarok Odyssey - 2474 ratings
8. Gravity Daze - 5329 ratings
9. Hot Shots Golf 6 - 2484 ratings
10. New Little King's Story - 769 ratings

Combining 1 & 2.. if there are 30k downloads & approx 2500 ratings this means that 1 in 12 people rate a downloaded game..

Only if we get some more download numbers we will be better able to estimate download sales from download ratings..

because currently if we apply this ratio it means around 45k people downloaded gravity daze.. but i dont think its close to reality..

Yeah, unfortunately it is difficult to say much about the rating system because it can variate from game to game. The only thing we know for sure is that if a game has i.e 1000 ratings, then the game sold at least 1000 copies.

The only way to make a more accurate guess is to take statements like the Ragnarok Odyssey statement that it sold 100k, and then look at how much it sold in retail (Media Create/Famitsu/Dengeki numbers).

Obviously they're going to release Gundam AGE Boost on Vita if more than 5 people buy the PSP variants.

These dual releases are a good idea that should have started earlier. Actually if I were Sony I would try and get them to release the PSP versions a couple of weeks later like Time Travelers having the PSP version release later.

Sony's been trying to get third parties to do PSP/Vita dual releases before Vita even launched. As it's kind of obvious it seems there has been difficulties getting them to do so. I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if third parties are against having a more expensive to produce SKU (Game Card Vs. UMD) at the same price for a smaller userbase.

Sales and shipments for Tokyo Jungle have topped the 200,000 mark, Sony said today. The figure is through June 22 and includes shipments of the Blu-ray disc version and sales of the download version.

To commemorate the sales feat, Sony will begin airing a special commercial for the game. The commercial makes note of the 200,000 sales figure and says "Let's go for 210,000!"

http://andriasang.com/con1s1/tokyo_jungle_sales/

05./04. [PS3] Tokyo Jungle <ADV> (Sony Computer Entertainment) {2012.06.07} (¥4.980) - 18.715 / 165.013 (-48%) as of June 24.

So the digital version must have sold around 30,000 units, it is hard to give an exact figure since we don't know the shipment numbers for the Blu-ray disc version.

To be fair, it is possible to discuss it in a normal/calm matter and not being a fanboy.

Really great sales for that game :) I also like when companies gives out sales data like this because it gives some idea on how much the digital download version has sold.

EDIT: Yeah, not too easy to say without knowing how much the Bluray version shipped.

Uh how are we getting 30k downloads when those sales include shipments as well?

Oh and is this reporting of DD sales in with shipments a new thing because thats at a good thing if we ever get the retail shipments for the game.

Yeah, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that there are definitely more than 5k copies sitting in the retail channel for a game that sold almost 20k during the week.

Not to mention that the game has received Asian and Korean releases as well.

So it actually looks like digital sales were closer to zero than 30k.

Yes, now that you mention it, I guess I was very optimistic with its digital sales numbers.

[3DS] Taiko Drum Master: Chibi Dragon (3 weeks) - 111,111
[PSV] Time Travelers (3 weeks) - 12,222
[3DS] Time Travelers (3 weeks) - 13,333

Demon/Demoniac/Hellish/Brain Training 3D is the hardest.

To be fair, it is possible to discuss it in a normal/calm matter and not being a fanboy.

You mean it's possible to be a fanboy and pretend you're discussing something for a reason that is not simply your loyalism? Yes, it is possible.

EDIT: When did donny2112 get a tag? Someone needs to put his post timestamp outside of <a></a>, though. =P

i think atleast we can get some rough estimates from these sales figure.. although we cant know for sure how much Blu-Ray disk are sitting on the shelves but i think it wont be more than 10,000.. usually difference between the shipped n sold to customer gets smaller n smaller after first shipment.. thats wot i have observed..

but seeing digital sales in around 20k to 30k for PSVita titles in Japan is definitely a positive sign.. i was expecting more around 10k mark..

Well, sure, that is possible too hehe :p But i just wanted to be fair and say that it is possible to discuss things like this without having some agenda/loyalism reason behind it. Maybe it is the case i some discussions, but not always.

Someone must've messed up.

EDIT: Wait, the new page has hardware info too. And no more software share. D:

EDIT2: Is it too late to change the June prediction rules for Famitsu? =P

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Yeah, here's the hardware

Wii &#12288;6880&#21488;
&#12503;&#12524;&#12452;&#12473;&#12486;&#12540;&#12471;&#12519;&#12531;3 &#12288;16399&#21488;
Xbox 360 &#12288;861&#21488;

I stay with my theory: someone just activated the time machine, and we're back to the times when there were Famitsu numbers before Media Create ones.

Bad second week for Pokémon Black/White 2, on the contrary Culdcept has sold very well.

This doesn't seem to be an "error" at all either. They have this brand new format with icons indicating sell-through and so on.

Is Google-Fu failing me or is that 22k for Vita?

It should be Vita, indeed. White + WAHOOOOHOHOHOOOOOOOO WOOHOHO effect.

However, shit happened

[PSV] Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection - 23.586
[3DS] Metal Gear Solid: The Snake Eater 3D (Konami) - 32.569

Those icons have been there for a while. =P

But it is a new format with the hardware and software top 30 combined into one page, before they were separated.
