I've got it on the nunchuck waggle (with slightly higher sensitivity) so that I can map - to reload and + to grenade, with d-pad-down doing tactical grenades. Nunchuck waggle does not screw up my aiming (where wii remote did).

Edit: My reasons for the knife on the chuck? Feels sooooo much cooler and more visceral to stab someone to death with a brunt motion. Think Godfather: Blackhand Edition :D

I'll try your setup.

New update submitted to Nintendo :)
Wii_Admin said:
• Fixed issue where players were taking damage from falls with Light Weight Pro equipped
• Fixed an issue where leader board would go into hang state if the user has 50+ allies
• Enemy turrets now glow when the hacker pro perk is equipped
• Team mates who are in your party will show up as blue on your mini map
• Improvements made in the matchmaking service
• Prevention of exploit that allowed players to keep custom classes and killstreaks after prestige.
• Flak Jacket Pro will now protect against napalm strikes
• Contracts will now reset when a player prestiges
• Melee attack radius has been optimized
• Spawn points have been adjusted in Havana – this should prevent the spawn killing in the Demolition game type
• Player can no longer load the thunder gun manually – Matches PS360 functionality
• Zombies Melee damage has been adjusted to match PS360 behavior
• Fixed issue where the player can complete "The Shortcut" challenge by climbing down a tall ladder
• Improved Zombie pathing. Zombies should no longer switch directions randomly, teleport through floors, walls, etc.
• Fix for the 3 weapon exploit when using the last grenade
• Incorporated AK-74u weapon balancing from PS360
• Implemented a way to create a new private party while in a public lobby for when the lobby leader has disbanded the private party.
• Fix to prevent a player from re-rolling the SAM or Sentry drops
• Resolved issues where the player could leave the following maps: Havana, Summit, Hanoi
• Second Chance – players that put an enemy into Second Chance are now credited for a full kill once that enemy dies. If another player kills the enemy while the enemy is in Second Chance, they will get assist credit.
Also, a comment regarding DLC
Wii_Admin said:
03/02/11: We are aware that some players are experiencing lag issues when hosting and this is something we will continue to look at. We have also heard reports of some host freezing which we are also continuing to look at. Neither of these issues are addressed in the update we are currently awaiting approval on.

Many people are also asking about DLC on the Wii. There is still no information on any potential DLC for the Wii, but we will be sure to update this space once there is. Thank you for your patience.
Glad to see that Wii support continues on. Looking forward to some potential DLC and looking forward to trying the new zombie fixes tonight (EDIT: Just noticed it's only been sent to Nintendo, so it'll still be a week minimum.)

EDIT: Would have liked to see the additional Contracts that PS360 got over a month ago :/

EDIT2: Bolded interesting changes

EDIT3:
foreveralone.jpg

The AK-74u tweak relates to the grip. They've increased the center speed when the grip is added, so the grip doesn't reduce pretty much all of the recoil anymore.

I saw this posted on the official forums last night. Very happy that some of the PS360 changes are being added, most notably the Second Chance tweak.

I really really really really wish this next patch addressed the host lag, but I'll have to wait. Since the last patch, I've been experiencing way more host lag than I did prior, and I'm always chosen as host. The clan I play with actually pokes fun at me since I host so often.

Also, I hope we can get info on the DLC soon. It's already out for PS3. I just want an update.

Time to play!
Edit: Ugh, STILL no updated contracts - thought this would be one of the easiest things to implement!

Still isn't fixed. I still get hit twice in less than half a second sometimes. -_-;

Has been removed from the patch notes for some reason :/

The amount of times I get someone into Second Chance only to be killed by him and then my kill stolen is ridiculous. This new patch should help. Apparently the AK74 changes have been removed from the updated patch for some reason :S. (Maybe they forgot to implement it into this patch in the end?).

I totally agree with this being the best online fps on Wii. I have a lot of respect for the Treyarch Wii team for supporting this version, listening to their fans and putting up with the state of the official forums :p. I'm also looking forward to the possibility of eventual DLC. (Let's hope this does happen, even though I think something has happened to delay/halt development of it :/). I'm mostly against paying for additional content, but I feel the need to support Treyarch for pulling off a damn good job.

EDIT: Was just reading the OP again. Lol. Love it XD.

Agree with you. One thing I did not know about is the wii version does not have the dead ops. Yesterday for first time I enabled the cheat to select the levels. when you type DOA it should unlock the arcade game but it is not in wii.

I believe I read a comment from someone at Treyarch (don't remember where/who) that DOA is more taxing on the hardware than you think, so it leads me to believe that it is not possible on the Wii hardware, just like the missing killstreaks.

Yeah, no idea here either. Seems strange that it's in other modes, just not team deathmatch. Maybe they decided it was too big for 5v5 without objectives?

Array is bigger, at least feels that way. Crisis is an okay map, no idea why they took it off TDM playlist, which is particularly bad for me since I play TDM almost exclusively.

Does the game feel like it's running faster to anyone else after the patch? Then again it could just be me as I haven't played in a few weeks.

There was the same 'problem' with Grid and Radiation. But as you can see they are back in TDM. Bought the headset yesterday (germany) now i really looking forward to play with some dudes.

Oooh, where did you get the headset from and how much? Might invest in one myself too.

Not really, but the match making seems faster.

Has it been confirmed that the AK74u's the same as it was pre-patch?
I've got no idea. It was meant to be adjusted to make it less-powerful, but when the patch got released - it dissapeared from the patch notes. Either it didn't get changed or Wii_Admin forgot to paste the note over :S.

Anyone still play?

Anyhow, I just noticed I have 40-something allies, all of them from random incoming proposals. And all of em I have no clue who they are. And I have no idea why those people wanted to ally with me in the first place. :X

Yeah, about 15-20k is pretty good. I wonder though when (or if? Activision still completely mum on this again lol) MW3 Wii comes out if most people will be hopping over to that instead.

The engine is already running, but Treyarch is probably too busy with Black Ops 2 to port it, much like with MW2.

nah no MW3 on Wii, I bet on Wii U though..

There was a MW3 headbanger headset at E3 but it's most likely them over guessing. I don't think it will come.

Though if it does I can't wait to see the manual talk about saving DLc to an SD card and that DLC never coming out!!!

Someone should tell the microphone people then, because they seem to think it's coming to Wii.

Still haven't gotten any of the map packs on Black Ops though. If they don't do MW3 Wii, then they should at least package the map packs on one disc and sell that this Fall.

I was thinking/hoping they would do this..

do it with some more Zombie Map packs an and an SD version of dead ops arcade, i'll buy fyzixwhyz you hear me?? get the guys at treyarch/activision to approve this...

I am guessing it would jsut use the MP file you downloaded, could sue your save function fo carry over the upgrades etc...would it be MP only on the disc then? I am down for this..

Did they "guess" the licence to use the logos and names on their products too?

I'm bumping this thread because I've been playing the crap out of Black Ops Wii since getting it in November. Last night there were 22 151 active players on-line. That just blew my mind.

I already owned Black Ops PC, which I bought not long after release, but for some reason the multiplayer in that version never really clicked with me, even when people raved about it being the best in the long-running series. Now with playing the game on Wii my eyes have opened to its charms in a big way.

Black Ops Wii feels like an entirely different, and better, game to the PC version. The lower number of players, the removal of certain killstreaks, and the addition of Wii controls really change how you play the game, not just in the obvious way of having superior shooter controls on Wii, but also in the sense that the whole thing has taken on a much more strategic feel. In other words, having ten players on any given map means you can afford to take the time needed in planning and carrying out an effective assault. No longer does it feel like two waves of players constantly washing up against each other, the guy with the least lag (whether it be network or visual) usually winning. Instead it becomes about tactics and how your mental approach can contribute to winning as much as quick reflexes.

Right now, if you ask me to come up with a list of the five best (or at least my favourite) on-line first-person shooters of this generation I would have no qualms about putting Black Ops Wii at the top. It's a shame the Wii version did not get the extra maps, but everything else makes up for it, and what is there is brilliant.

Very True. When ever I tell my friends though they laugh. Somehow graphics is the only thing that matter for many people. Controls and feel changes so much. One of the reason I want wiiu to retain wii controls.

You know why I am bumping this thread? 'cause yesterday I saw 50,000+ players online. Can you believe this? 50000! Two years after the release, six months after Boerseun reported seeing 22 151 players online (three posts above), the number actually doubled. WTF?!

luoapp

It's a double XP weekend.

Double XP or not, it just amazes me the number of players keeps growing after MW3 released on WII, when it dropped to sub 10k. I don't recall what's the number when the game was new, but I doubt it was more than 30k. 50k is definitely the highest number I believe. I mean, seriously, we are talking about a game released two years ago, having a sequel already, and on a dead last-gen platform!

Is it still worth Getting? I got MW3 out of curiosity to try the controls and I was pleasantly surprised with the online gameplay, but the player counts seem a bit low nowadays.

If all FPS games on Wii U gave you the option of using the Wii Remote it would be incredible. If I knew in advance that they would do this, I'd probably buy Wii U day one.

Definitely. I think it can be had for $20 used. Believe it or not, it's a technically superior game to MW3. What's the user count for MW3, btw?

I haven't played in about a month but at the time I usually played, which is at night about 9pm EST, it was never over 8k or so.
But I want to glet Blops because I prefer the maps there.

Even adventure games and mario were fun with it. IT is truly a very under appreciated controller by core community. Mostly because many people did not gave it a try.
