Yeah for the next three days ill be online playing some h3 around like 8pm est. I don't mind playing reach but to me its more fun playing against gaffers or playing customs. (allows for teams to be changed and the ability to have close matches) Otherwise you just get paired up against other people that are more than likely not partied up.

Ok im on H3 now gamer tag is Computer.

Forget about Halo 3. Peeps gotta get online and play Halo Wars. General isn't going to get itself.

I tried to play online......got destroyed. People just rush every game and I'm not good enough to be able to counter them. I've beaten campaign a few times and play with friends every now and then, but matchmaking is full of pros.

Just added a red stripe to get an idea of the final design. When I've got all the dings filled in I'm going to spray it a medium grey color with black accents around the visor. I'm liking the satin red stripe though.

Dude, that is looking awesome... and not just because ODST is my fav Halo helmet.

I've been revisiting Halo 3 single player, and it makes me want to give multiplayer a another go as well, but

that's pretty much what I was afraid of. I was only ever decent at best in 3, and I certainly haven't gotten better by not playing it.

Pretty sure he's talking about Halo Wars, lol.

Crap, you're right. I totally wasn't paying attention.

borderlands is amazing

also why are people looking down on someone who is dating a girl 9 years younger then he is? Assuming they are both over 18 I dont see that as a completely ridiculous age gap. I'm 5 years older then my fiancee

This is why:

Now feel free to introduce yourself and/or share anything you want so we get to know you better, some of us would enjoy reading it

I cant spell for shit or use correct punctuation. If i do then I googled it so feel free to make fun ha. Im pretty weird I somtimes make random noises and yell out random shit just to get reactions. I love to drink and play Halo im really good when I am buzzed but I really suck when I am hammered.

It's not that bad.. you just have to have a decent teammate or scout, like any RTS. And like any RTS the more people the cheesier the play (1 scarab + all engineers, players going mass banshee/hawk, etc.)

The strategy guide they put out for it is actually really good.

Still getting destroyed playing through it legendary, though :(

Lol. It's just so hard to take them seriously. Then again after watching games like SC2, quake and counterstrike being played in tournaments it just puts halo to shame. Granted I love halo and love playing it competitively (like I play anything) but to think that halo should be elevated to an esport status, well I am starting to think the prospect is laughable.

I mean, I've played both of those games in tournament settings before, and there is no reason Halo isn't on the same level.

So wtf.

That looks incredible! Can you send me a PMS with all the articles, youtube stuff, you have used for the helmet?

The massive skill gap in aiming alone makes halo pale in comparison, in my opinion at least.

The thing that quake and counterstrike lacked was a viable matchmaking system which could put people against each other. I tried to get into counterstrike 8 months ago but just couldn't stand having to join servers and not having the ability to play random people all the time.

Idk probably tried to get into counterstrike way late anyway. Everything I have been reading online about csgo all points to it being a watered down version of previous games. (this at least seems to be the consensus from the 1.6 crew) Then again I know very little about these communities so I could be dead wrong.

There are a lot more things to Quake, Counterstrike, and yes, even Halo than 'aiming' to make a successful team.

I'm pretty sure there are people on here that could consistently shit all over another decent player in a BR battle 9/10 times.

All of these games can be played at very high levels of competition, with significant stratification between what we'd call 'good' and 'pro'.

Of course there is much more to playing an fps than just aiming. The thing is what would be harder? Getting a sniper headshot in counterstrike or a sniper headshot in halo? Granted halo can be played on the PC but the majority of users play the game on console, including myself.

Halo still has movement and map positioning but so does quake and counterstrike. One of the things that separates PC fps's compared to console fps's is just how much more precise a mouse can be.

You may find the answer on the Halo 4 page on waypoint. I'd check it myself but I'm still on my phone. I wouldn't dare to enter that site on a phone.

Actually, you're right, the info is there.

Support Package, Sensor Upgrade:
Although it violates general UNSC relay transmission regulations, the Sensor Upgrade increases both the range and sensitivity of the standard motion sensor. As it is most frequently utilized by stealth operatives and infiltration specialists, this upgrade provides heightened locational intel of all nearby enemies.

Oh, they're making a CE sequel?
About damn time.

I actually find getting headshots in Halo much more difficult than just about any PC game, because aiming with the mouse is, as you say, so much more precise. Therefore much less 'impressive' when they actually happen. Also, try playing halo 2 with a mouse; you'll get shit on by a competent player with a controller; strafe is terrible with input from WASD.

Headshots don't exist in any version of quake, either. However railing someone from across the field always DID feel pretty amazing.

So the precision of the mouse doesn't really do anything to make me want to watch those games more, the best pros in Halo don't miss sniper shots either. They are ultimately very different games, but I really don't agree with your argument that any of them are more or less competitive in certain circumstances.

I'd almost say the mouse being so precise is sometimes a detriment to some games now, as the designers are trying to make games more and more realistic in terms of damage models and realistic weapons, but then you're aiming and shooting with something that gives you laser-like precision.

Oh PAX isn't that far away. Just another month now...

As much as I would love a PAX reveal, I'm not getting my hopes up. Right now I think January is more likely, if only because they keep saying "See you in 2013".

HaloGAF Radio mp3 is cooking now, I'll let you know once it's updated.

YouTube version will have to wait until tomorrow evening, that usually takes an hour or two to accomplish (since I have to render an 80 minute video first) and I'm heading to bed shortly.
