I can't wait until the glorious day where I walk into the store/mall and see isles upon isles of magnificent fall/winter wear.

The best time of year.

Also, I need some new glasses. This Warby Parker ad at the top of my screen is curiously enticing.

Indeed. Browsing now, and liking what I see.

If I order a frame online, do I take it to my optometrist for my prescription lenses? Or do I send them my prescription and they fit the frames with my required lenses? No idea how shopping for glasses online works, but I assume it's the former.

edit: nvm. A quick investigation of the "shopping cart" page shows me I can actually enter my prescription and have them shipped ready to go. Awesome.

I live in GA, albeit northern GA, so winters can be pretty hit or miss for a good portion of the season for me. Sure, it always gets chilly, but it doesn't always get as cold as I would like it and it isn't unreasonable for us to see as little as NO snow worth anything for an entire winter. Flakes, at most, last year. Sucked.

I'm originally from New England, so I miss the colder climate. It's hot for far too long down here and I really just don't like wearing shorts. I'm a jeans all year round kind of person.

Tell me about it. I live in Florida. FLORIDA. I get all excited when the temps hit around 70 for fuck sake. I don't even know what seasons look like. I am visiting Vermont (My dad's family's home town) for the first time this November. I am hoping some cataclysmic event occurs, and ends with me staying. Fuck the south

Prepare to see some fucking amazing scenery. I was born in Vermont, moved to Connecticut at 3 so I don't remember VT much during the few short years I lived there, but I've since visited a few times. New Hampshire as well. New England in Fall = wondrous, for both scenery and climate. I miss it, and could never live in Florida. I feel you man.

And to keep it relevant to the thread, I miss the longer periods of time to wear fall/winter clothing. I love jackets and sweaters, and this fall/winter will be wearing more scarves. I've worn 'em on and off in the past, but was always unsure of how they looked. I do really like them though for some reason, so why the hell not. I also love gloves. I just enjoy covering up for winter, I guess. Maybe it's nostalgia.

I can't wait to leave this state, for however long. All I ever see is teenagers wearing tank tops and board shorts, with giant socks and vans. Its like you get to this state and they burn the pacsun logo into your eyes until they bleed so that you see it fucking everywhere.

I don't get the sea food arguments either. Native lobster and fish is so pathetic. It all tastes horrible(I love seafood, but not from here). I hope this place is underwater soon. The ocean needs to claim it.

Spring is easily much more fun.

I hope and pray that this winter is colder than the last one. I couldn't even break out a heavy jacket last year.

I think it snowed twice up in Boston. Once near Halloween, and then...another time that I can't even remember.

A stark contrast to last winter in New York, where there was snow in my school's parking lot 'til May.

Spring is easily much more fun.

Depends on your definition of fun :p Fall and Winter bring layering opportunities, while Spring and Summer bring on the bright colors (and the swollen, itchy eyes and runny nose...)

CT here. Been rocking long pants every day for the past few weeks. :D

Color me Jelly, good sir. What part of CT? Before moving south I grew up in North Haven.

I don't even care that I live in GA now though, I still rock long pants almost 98% of the year. I simply don't like shorts all that much, and I don't really know why. Jeans for lyfe.

Fairfield County, Trumbull, to be exact. Used to work overnights in New Haven. What a city. :lol

Heh. I was a bit north of New Haven, but not too far away. Generally stuck to the North Haven and Wallingford side of town. Nice towns, both of those.

So tempting...

Button flies are a deal breaker for me, no matter how much I like the pants.

I just picked up a pair of brown chinos from H&M, they're the first pair of pants I've ever owned with a button fly. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.

Opinions on the Barbour Kirkham? My desire to shell out for one grows daily.

Saying that I probably couldnt get more than one size down out of trying to shrink it without wrecking it.

Still can't decide on good walking shoes that go with shorts/jeans. I am indecisive. Half of me wants some plain white Nikes but is not sure they will be comfy enough, the other half wants running shoes since they are extra comfy but not always nice to look at.

Any sneaker should be fine for just walking I'd say. You're not really stressing your body like you'd do when running. Hell, any decent fitting shoe should work.

Im aware of that.
I can still get it smaller, I mean I had to wear it sunday as due to various reasons the clothes I bought to a mates didnt last long enough. It didnt look completely stupid but still..

You can wash it in warm/hot water, then dry it in the dryer, other than that there's no way to make it shrink more.

More specifically for PAX though, so 6 days of 8 hours on my feet per day. I know some shoes will be much better than others. Guess I could buy insoles too.

What does fashion-gaf think about the g-shock watches?

Because I've been looking at this one:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00284ADEE/?tag=neogaf0e-20

They are a nice way to add color to an otherwise neutral outfit, tie together a chromatic or stylistic theme, or to instantly make something like a blazer and jeans casual. Goes well with urban footwear.

And the red one you're looking at is cute enough, but if this is just for fashion, you can get a similar look from a watch sold at Target for 1/3 of the price.

Cut it up into a rad tank. I happily buy oversized t-shirts at thrift shops specifically for this purpose. Nobody should be wearing crew neck shirts anyway, which I assume this is because who the hell has ever had the sense to use v-neck or scoops for giveaways?

What's wrong with crew necks?
