New Capcom USA Community Rep: Monster Hunter news "veeeeery soon"

Your point was that people should stop complaining now, even though Capcom has still not made a single attempt at giving us concrete information. We still don't know which game will come out when and if they do anything in terms of online. The bitching shall never stop until we know.

There's a line in the Donnie Brasco film that should perhaps be applied to this thread: "Forget about it." Ignore Capcom for now until it actually has some real news. It's not worth being frustrated over anymore with the company teasing us like this.

Monster Hunter: Massive Hunting hits iOS/Android in Japan this year

Capcom's masssively successful (in Japan) Monster Hunter series is returning to the massively successful (in Japan) GREE platform this year, for an iOS/Android social game called Monster Hunter: Massive Hunting.

Similar to Capcom's previous iOS Monster Hunter, you fight giant beasts using touch controls, including "tap and flick" gestures. Players can also pick up materials to make new equipment, and use a "friend hunting" system, which adds a currently undefined social element. Presumably it doesn't involve hunting and killing your real life friends.

So is this the news we were waiting for?

Insanity, I was prepared to buy 2 copies on 3DS to play local multi but I might get the WiiU version too now. My money is still prepared for this, regardless.

With the name change on 3DS and TRANSFAARING support I suspect it's very likely the 3DS version has been given online play.

Sven did say in the west Monster Hunter needs online.

That will make me happy, I have no interest in getting a WiiU, if they haven't specifically mentioned it though I won't believe it.

Probably local play with WiiU or something weird.

I'm hoping we get an improved lobby system as a side effect of this. IIRC Japan could have 10 persons in a room but it was lowered to 4 for the west because of wii speak? So a new version would possibly restore that. It's so annoying when 1 person goes afk in the room and you can't replace them without disbanding / regrouping elsewhere.
