True ending and final boss of PW. She was working for Zero all along. Made BB an offer to join/rejoin FOX, otherwise she would use MG Zeke to fire a nuclear missile (that you help make through the course of the game) and pin the blame on BB, thus putting/targeting him and his army on the radar.
My memory's a little hazy, so I'm probably off a bit.

I guess I should finish chapter 5 of PW D:

I have never played the original MG and MG2 but I had the theory since both pictures seem to show Snake in different ages one has him with brown hair another with grey and old looking. And way the trailer was setup could it be were looking at a MG1 remake with solid snake sneaking into big boss's camp?

There's more to this then it just being Big Boss. There's no way they'd have all that orange neon coloring at random parts, and a holographic map for any time period before the 00's. That and the younger looking Snake on the poster and the older one in the demo. Something doesn't add up.

CVG Sources: Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes 'is not Project Ogre'
The mystery 'Project Ogre' game in development at Kojima Productions is not the newly announced Metal Gear Solid : Ground Zeroes, CVG understands.

A trusted source connected to the matter claimed that 'Ogre' is the codename for another project, previously believed - though not confirmed - to be Metal Gear Solid 5.

Ground Zeroes, announced on Thursday at a special Tokyo event, is an open-world variation of the Metal Gear Solid stealth gameplay model.

Addressing an audience at the Penny Arcade Expo on Sunday, Kojima confirmed that he will be masterminding the Zeroes project. This suggests that Project Ogre is being spearheaded by a separate team.

"One thing I want to make clear is that Ground Zeroes is something I'm making myself," he said. "I want to make it clear that Snake is back, but I'm also back."

The accompanying demo provided a second look at features revealed at the Metal Gear 25th anniversary event in Tokyo. The demo paraded new open-world gameplay features such as driving military vehicles and calling in an attack chopper for support.

Also revealed at the Metal Gear Solid 25th Anniversary event wasMetal Gear Solid: Social Ops, a social game inspired by Portable Ops and Peace Walker, and a Metal Gear Solid movie helmed by X-Men and Spider-Man producer Avi Arad.

Peace Walker had sentient robots in 1974, and both MGS3 and Peace Walker played pretty goddamned fast and loose with the technology (thermal goggles and stealth camo in 1964? really?).

It's Kojima. Nothing should add up. All you know is that every trailer and gameplay reveal with be a roller coaster ride; the biggest attraction in the carnival of stupid 2012!

I'm guessing this game takes place over the span of several years... maybe? Yeah, BB looks damn near grizzly in some pics, but the promo pic from yesterday makes him look fairly young.

Solidus can have been that old by 74-76.

People forget that MG's world is not actually part of our past or its technology.

Whaaa? This isn't technically 5 or Ogre? That's crazy! I figured this is what they considered 5, but just decided to forgo that and name it something else...what in the hell is going on!

It does add up. It's for gameplay reasons, they probably wanted the map to no longer be part of the hud, but instead be something you look at like an actual item. And at the same time, they probably wanted it to be able to display all sorts of things, so it would limit the number of different items Snake would carry.

So it makes sense to make it holographic. They don't care about tech realism VS era.

That kid is Frank Jaeger.

No...

It makes me wonder what MGS5 is going be like story-wise. Will it bring the series full circle and be the first game that has both solid snake and naked snake as playable characters? :p

No...

I don't know, I think there's something more to it than that. Could definitely be wrong, but that orange glowy stuff just gave me the feeling something was odd. And if this is indeed a prequel to 5, then I could see some kind of AC kind of twist or something. I don't know, I guess all we can do is wait and see.

MGS5 Prologue = Ground Zeroes. PS3/360/PC.
MGS5 = PS4/XBOX-NG/PC.

Yeah, that's what I figured, as long as Kojima puts them on the PC.

Why's he wearing an eye patch then? Considering how old Chico looks and the comments about Paz, this isn't much after PW, which wasn't far after the LET project. Doesn't check out!

MGS3 had those hover thingies that could go as fast as bikes and stuff

that's the one thing that stood out for me as wat

If Peace Walker took place in 74' and BB looked the way he did in
MGS 4
then I think it's easy to speculate this is set in the mid 80's perhaps?

I'm kind of curious what MGS 5 is at this point. If Kojima himself is willing to make something so radically different than the previous games, who knows what the other team will do if they have some free reign over it. Very excited to see what happens.

Looks really good, but doesn't seem impossible at all on ccurrent consoles if you add some jaggies and lower resolution/frame rate.

IMO technically it doesn't seem really seem any more advanced than the curent high-end console stuff, it mostly looks better because it has better art direction.

Still expecting a PC version even if there's no logo at the end of the trailer. Guessing PC version won't be day and date.
