One of these is probably correct.

there's not going to be any HDD option, mark my words.

its going to be standard nintendo fare: flash storage (maybe 8 or 16GB) with the option to increase it with SD cards or flash drives.

i'd like to think we're all being a bit too conservative with these predictions, im not too optimistic, one should never be with nintendo.

btw, does anyone know if rayman legends can be controlled with a sideways wii remote? did rayman origins on the wii control like that?

I can confirm this is legit, by the way. We have a VPD account for our shop and there's been Wii U listings of this sort there for a while, but I don't remember there being three at these prices for sure.

My initial take on these:

$250: WiiU + GamePad ("Wii Upgrade Pack," no AV cord, Sensor bar, nor Wii controllers; besides, there's a sensor bar on the GamePad and it works with HDMI)
$300: WiiU + GamePad + Wiimote + Nunchuk + Cables (For those who don't have a Wii)
$350: WiiU + GamePad + NintendoLand + Wiimote + Nunchuk

will add to the op!

Predictions:
$249: Wii U + 1 Upad
$299: Wii U + 1 Upad + 2 Wiimotes
$349: Wii U + 1 Upad + 2 Wiimotes + 32GB SD Card/USB storage

Flash drives and USB-connected external HDDs are pretty much the same thing, and they already confirmed you can use them anyway, so why not offer an official one in a bundle?

I'd even say 2.5", since they don't require an extra power brick.

I've never thought about that. Could make sense considering how Nintendo approached the 3DS XL outside the US.

Someone else suggested it earlier in the thread. I thought it was a good idea considering how well the Wii sold through, but their suggestion was flawed in that it suggested omitting the AC Adapter. I don't think the rear AC port on the Wii U is the same as the Wii's, though, so it would only work for the Sensor Bar and the AV cord.

EDIT: Just checked the Wii U Thread OP and sure enough, it's a Wii AC adapter port. So you could pull the AC adapter as well, I guess?

Now that’s an interesting theory, considering they didn’t put a power adapter in the 3DS this might actually make sense.

Wii U launching the same day as Paper Mario for Nintendo 3DS? Yeah, no. I don't think they'd cannibalize their sales that much.

It's a handheld game and they're launching a home console. The rationale that Paper Mario 3DS would keep Wii U from launching on any specific date always seemed like a really paper-thin rationale to me.

EDIT: It's a legit listing.

Show me when they have launched something for the console space and something for their handheld space on the exact same day? Even Super Mario 3D Land and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword were released on separate days. What is stopping them from releasing either Wii U or Paper Mario on November 18?

And they have ALWAYS had a flagship product for that year come out the Sunday before Black Friday.

And Lupin the Wolf, is that a screenshot that you took?

external HDD are confirmed? didn't know that. still don't think they'll offer one in a bundle though.

Yes it can, and yes so could Origins Wii.

oh wow, cool. trying to save some money and wasn't sure if that was the case.

i stil haven't seen a convincing argument for needing a pro controller. it seems all the launch games are using UPads and Wiimotes for multiplayer. Probably won't need a set of four until Smash comes out really.

Yes, I took that screenshot last night after I saw the Go Nintendo article. Was going to submit it to them but changed my mind (RMC's not always the best at going back and updating his stories).

I'm not saying Nintendo has a history of releasing hardware and handheld games simultaneously, I'm just not personally ruling it out like it's blasphemy or something.

Very aggressive pricing by Nintendo.

If Sony and MS were waiting to hear price and release date before reacting, I wonder what they will do now.

My guesses:

- 250: WiiU + WiiU pad
- 300: WiiU + WiiU pad+WiiMote+Nunchuck
- 350: WiiU + WiiU pad+WiiMote+Nunchuck+Nintendoland

Reaction by the competition:

- PS3 4000: 169/199/249/399 for 16GB/320GB/500GB with game or move/16GB with vita
- 360: 149/199/249/299 for 16GB/320GB/16GB with kinect/250GB with kinect and game

One thing I noticed though is that it's VERY uncommon to have 3 unique SKUs at launch and unheard of from Nintendo. We'll see how it pans out.

Having nothing for their magical date, the Sunday before Black Friday, is blasphemy though.

Basic: Console+Pad
Pro:Console+Pad+Pro controller
Family:Console+Pad+ 4 Wiimotes

All of them will have Nintendo land or none of them will.

Actually you may be spot-on.
Or maybe 299 is the one with Nintendoland and 349 the one with WiiRemote and ClassicController included in the box.

Soo.. let´s develop a console and all the games with a touch controller in mind - and then sell it without it?

Makes no sense at all.

Wanted to go ahead and throw in my (optimistic) hopes/ guesses:

249: Wii U Upgrade Pack. Wii U, Gamepad, $10 e-shop credit, demo disc (NintendoLand, Pikmin 3, Mario Wii U, Zombi U, Madden U), missing cables, sensor bar, anything else that can be used from Wii (upgrade pack added advantage - hurts supply of used Wii's, drives people to purchase new consoles).

299: Wii U Entry Pack: Wii U, Gamepad, all cords and cables, $10 e-shop credit, demo disc, Remote+ & Nunchuck

349: Family Pack: Wii U, Gamepad, all cords and cables, e-shop credit, demo disc, 2 Remote+'s & Nunchucks, NintendoLand

Man, the entry price is really aggressive. Nintendo should make a killing holidays, as long as the console is easy to find that is.

1. Wii U Basic (Wii U Pad, Nintendoland)
2. Wii U Pro (Wii U Pad, Nintendoland, Wiimote+Nunchuck, Pro Controller)
3. Wii U Elite (Wii U Pad, Nintendoland, Wiimote+Nunchuck, Pro Controller, 80 GB Flash)

Mark my words.

Wii U launching the same day as Paper Mario for Nintendo 3DS? Yeah, no. I don't think they'd cannibalize their sales that much.

Wii had murdered Yoshi's Island DS and Elite Beat Agents back in 2006. Same thing will happen again. But then again this is Mario, killing it will be hard.

Also, why would Nintendo want to cut into its supplies by having three different SKUs? Aren't they having manufacturing issues right now?

YIDS came out November 13, while Wii came out November 19. Elite Beat Agents came out November 6. This is saying PM:SS and Wii U on the same day. Yeah, no.

249$ is a very nice price. Definitely tempting.

They can keep Nintendoland though. I don't need that as pack in software.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
This is going to be all the more depressing when everyone realizes this price will be marked up $50.

I'll still buy at $299, though.

Also, no way NintendoLand is packed in with all of them.
