They're separate. You could say we're getting 13 maps, but I'm not sure if the Forge environments are coming with a "default" layout.

Considering that they are being specifically referred to as Forge "environments", I'm hopeful that they don't have some "pre-baked" map variant on that.

Halo 4 was designed for larger maps. It would be an absolute mess on those maps.

Flood viewmodel seems hurried and halfassed, they just switched the sword skin and called it a day. I expected much more from a first person view of the flood.

It plays very well, I managed to get onto the a TV that wasn't so laggy(Haven side) it was the best fun i've had in Halo in a long time.It's also balanced nicely. For example when you're in regen' shield you vision goes blurry. Plus the regeneration speed is half of what it was in Halo 3.

The BR is daddy. I was dubious at first but in the hands of a competent shooter it will win against the DMR at Mid range. Solace is a BR map, so is Haven. I think in BTB game types the DMR will dominate.
I used the light rifle for a while but i didn't get on with it. The graphics seriously look stunning. I'm so impressed.

One of my gripes with these gaming events is when they show off new gameplay, and the production director get's it in their head that they are shooting a indie movie or something. Slowly fade out to the crowds and the back of theirs heads, then slowly pan onto Frankie concentrated face. I just want gameplay..

I's usually agree but in this case I genuinely laughed at Frankie's face when he was playing. He looked like he was under duress. Still, can't speak for him but I'm quite averse to people watching me play, it puts me off sometimes. I've always factored that in with MLG pro's; the ability to keep your head in the game and not be distracted by faces in the crowd/thought of thousands at home watching you play.

I swear Karma isn't pro anymore, didn't he absolutely blow at H3 and quit?

Lol, he was one of the few big Halo 2 pro's to win a Halo 3 event.

Valhalla was already ruined with BR starts. Just learn to reflexively veto it away like Uncaged after everyone figures out to select their DMR / BR loadout when it comes up.

Valhalla looks beautiful, plush, all blooming colours and richly pastoral. So glad colour is back in Halo. When I saw the mech in the picture I sighed. I then watched the video and flipped reversed my opinion. No matter how much I'll probably come to dislike it down the line, at this moment in time it just looks brilliant in a silly way and I can't wait to try it. Hopefully you can spawn 8 or more of them in Forge for custom mini games.

High jump/low grav thrusters. You can tell it's Flood because he leaves a weird yellow trail behind him (not the exhaust from the thruster).
