You know what? I was just thinking. I went into a gamestop the other day to kill some time and there it was, the demo vita...just dangling by it's cord. :|

Wow store got 5x more awesome in one update.

Little Kings Story, PSMobile, some of the best PS1 games, two new demos.

Bought Beats Trellis......thinking I should pick up Aqua Kitty & Super Crate Boy as well?

you can try super crate box here for free and decide. Curious about Aqua Kitty myself.

About SCB - it's pretty great fun. A bit frustrating but lots of replay value. The weapons do mix it up quite a bit and you unlock quite a few different ones by collecting the boxes (which is what you're supposed to do anyway to progress). I think there are 3 stages which affect the gameplay and difficulty due to different walking patterns and affect how you move.

The core gameplay is pretty great - a mix between dashing for crates and preventing enemies from falling in the fire. You don't lose from that...but they get mad and run faster making them harder to avoid/kill.

D-pad so plays great and the weapons have cool things like recoil pushing the character back, disc slicing and bouncing off walls..mines..short range knife- you can't switch them manually, it seems pretty random every time you collect a crate...which you have to do to increase your score (and unlock stuff like levels/difficulty/weapons and characters). Quite a tough one but even if you don't wrack up a high score you still unlock things. No leaderboards (yet anyway).

Dear lord, Hatsune Miku is awesome. AND it's tough! Anyone who digs music games NEEDS to bite to bullet and grab this.

In other news, There isn't much on PSM I feel intrigued by since I have an iPhone and an iPad. NLKS looks good, but not $40 good right now (not with the huge release schedule on the horizon). There are a TON of great PS1 titles now, too.

Time to start buying!

I really hope that some version of those iOS Hatsune Miku games make it to PS Mobile. Flipping the Vita to vertical orientation might be a bit awkward, but I got over that after playing through the LBP minigames.

Who knows, I'm more than happy since I buy a lot digitally but if you don't plan to go that route then it's a waste.

Mine is already full and I'd gladly buy another one or a bigger one is swapping them wasn't such a PITA.

One of them is Aqua Kitty, right?

Yes. I splurged lol. Hope Eufloria makes it here soon.

Would have really made my day..although it doesn't look like it will be a steal like the Eufloria HD iOS price (£2.99) - well the Japanese price was 800 yen..still, should be good. Maybe he's changed it quite a bit?

I didn't even know those existed! That would be pretty incredible!

Wasn´t the push for the PSPGo release? How long did this push last in the West? Basically only EA (with a Dantes Inferno port) und UbiSoft were part of it and support dried up really fast for a reason. After PSP a failed relaunch with PSPGo, a failed PSV I doubt Sony has the same trust from (western) publishers they did some failed systems ago.

I remember there being a big push for when the PSPslim came out. thats when a lot of the good games started coming out. 2008-9.
then a second push for the PSPgo release

Hi VitaGAF so I just joined the Vita family last week. Finally upgrading from my lovely White PSPGo to a Vita so I'm pretty much set for being able to play most of my old PSP libary (barring a few odd choices like Valkyria Chronicles II and Fat Princess a Fistfull of Cake). Anyway picked up the Australian Little big Planet Bundle for $299 and also currently have Gravity Rush, Rayman Origins and Fifa (which came free with the Little Big Planet Bundle).

Anyway just wondering if Army Corps from Hell is worth picking up, I've sort of had my eye on that for awhile and it looks kinda cool, would be worth getting that if I'm also planning on getting New Little King Story?

Also I'm sure this has been answered and a quick google search sort of gave me my answer. But does anyone know if Sony plans on making the Vita compatible with MediaGo. I find it soo much easier to be able to access PSN and being able to download all my games through my PC and sort out them out there. Just heaps easier then the set up the Vita has now with the connection manager.

Regarding Army Coprs. Not at full price but I bought it for around $18 at play-asia and found it worth for the $5 hours I got out of it before getting bored. I plan on picking it up again, but there's too much good stuff coming up.

In short, for cheap I think it's worth it but there are much better games out there.

What game are referring to?

So the SH demo is really bad. Bad graphics, horrendous loading times, idiotic gameplay. No thank you. And that 'body flashlight'... are you kidding?

Oh I really hope Sony will figure something out regarding loading times... 3/4 of the games have them way toooooo long. I thought Vita cards are fast in reading, right?

...So is Sounds Shapes reeeeaaaly worth $15? Watched a bit of the Giantbomb quick look and the platforming looked boring. Does it get better in later levels or something?

Also thinking of getting FF7, never played it before.

It's a good game, but not because of the platforming. There are some really fun platforming sections, but for the most part it's about the music/visuals and the urge to discover what's coming up ahead.

Yeah that's what I thought. No thank you.

Actually tempted to buy Ridge Racer DLC. I still find myself playing the game from time to time.

So I finally completed Gravity Rush.. Nice fun game. Not much else to write about it, it´s a special game, but not a game that stands out in my memory..
So now I started Uncharted:Golden Abyss (got it for free with Playstation Plus.........

...

..

No I got it from a friend..)

And damn I have missed Nathan Drake.. this game is just crazy on the Vita..

Are most PSM games native res? Like Super Crate Box?

Super Crate Box is actually in a weird ratio where it doesn't fill the whole screen, which surprises me, since most of the games do.

The main problem with most games, as I've seen, is having no real support for the buttons and D-Pad. Some do, a lot don't.

(And of note, pretty much every single game that DOES use the Vita controls uses them very well indeed. How strange.)

Seems that way. All of the games I played (six of them) are, except the 4:3 ratio of Super Crate Box for the retro feel.

This is my main issue, as well. For instance, on Samurai Showdown, to play the game, you tap on the left side or the right side of the screen, depending on which way the enemies are facing. Why can't we use a button on the left and on the right instead of being forced to use the touch screen?

My Vita froze when trying to download Chrono Cross :| Too much awesomeness for a handheld?

I can't get it to turn off or reboot :/ *edit* there goes... after holding the power button down for a long time

The platforming of sound shapes is excellent imo. I was really worried about that before picking it up...but it nailed it for me. It can be as fun as you want it, some great user generated levels...just wish it had downloading...

It's fun for few hours but get's repetitive and grindy after that.

Has anyone compiled a list of the space needed by each game that requires a memory card? I looked around and found a list of the games that do require a memory card, just not the actual space that needs to be set aside on it...

Also, is 4GB the actual space, or is it in fact smaller like on a HDD? If so, what percentage disappears?

I'm planning my first purchases, both digital and retail, here's my list so far:

LBP (bundle)
Sound Shapes
Super Stardust Delta
MotorStorm RC
Mutant Blobs
Plants vs. Zombies
Velocity

Gravity Rush
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Lumines
Everybody's Golf
Virtua Tennis
