They are really close to Harmonix and Double Fine. But that doesn't bother me, because I don't go to Giant Bomb for unbiased reviews of games. I go because they are entertaining when they talk about stuff.

They're so biased towards Harmonix it isn't funny. These last two weeks of the bombcast has been nothing but Jeff showering them with praise.

Even if they are, it's not like they give harmonix or double fine perfect 10's on their five star scale and praise for everything they do. They hang out with cool dudes and are still professionally critical of their games.
He couldn't stop bragging how the game taught him to do the electric slide.
Did you guys listen to a different bombcast than me? He was saying how busted it was half the time and that he probably won't play it again. Damn, high praise there.

Actually, it's pretty easy to tell. You're just not very good at it.
I dunno where the idea to play two games on TNT came from, but it's TERRIBLE! You always have two guys concentrating on one game and the other guy sat in the corner by himself. The Borderlands 2/Tokyo Jungle TNT was the zenith of this, with Ryan and Patrick having a whale of a time on Tokyo Jungle and Jeff sat in the corner shouting things like "I'm going to get in this car guys!"
I also wish Patrick and Ryan would stop doing shit together, most boring combo on the planet.

I can't tell if you are trolling or being serious.
I have to read a review from a Harmonix/Double fine game on GB that sounded bias or got any special treatment. All the games got FAIR scores. So they praise them on a podcast means what? They are biased? When you are in this field of work for 15+ years you are bound to make friends but that means you can't be unbiased?

I didn't see TNT, but during the quicklook, I thought he made the game seem a bit more stiff than it actually is. He was playing pretty cautiously and not using a few things that would have made the game move faster and be more fun. It ramps up quite a bit as well, that was only the 3rd level in the ql.
If you're not sold for $10, pick it up during a steam sale.

Yeah, they talked about it, but I agree with them. Kinect is absolute garbage most of the time, Harmonix's Dance game genre is running out of steam as it currently stands, and it seems like the cheaper downloadable double-fine happy action theatre seems to work, and can even be broken at times but still seem like its working.

Would rather hear Jeff talk about it TBH and for once I dont mean that as a slight against Patrick. Jeff just has more experience in the industry and has seen this shit happen to other people and himself.
He has talked openly in the past about writers who where just using there spot at old gamespot to get jobs at publishers / developers.
He has a unique point of view on these stories where as all Patrick could do would be just report on what happened.

I have a feeling they'd say something like "we'd rather talk about games than gaming journalism". Aren't they friends with Keighley? He should really be the one being put under the microscope for that nonsense.
Ryan talked about it in the chat a little bit last night. Paraphrasing, he doesn't think the libel suit should have gone through, but hardly considers himself a games journalist so much as someone who talks about games; "I'm not a journalist, I don't have a beat".
