3DS outselling vita about 2:1 in Europe, probably a bit more. Way better then Japan (for Sony that is). Kinda sad these statistics are so old though, a lot has happened.

Wii holding up surprisingly well I have to say. About as well as the other current gen
(No! Don't)
consoles is unexpected with the Wii U so close.
Europe is PS2/PS3 land!

Nintendo has year-to-date estimations until September: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/library/events/121025/img/15l.jpg

3DS has about 2.5x as much as Vita in "Europe".

I took the liberty:

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Problem for Sony (and to a lesser extent Nintendo) is that the 3DS isn't even selling that well outside of Japan anyway.

Actually, 3DS has started selling pretty well since the XL launch in Europe. Best selling console in August and good numbers in September and October, when handheld sales are historically lower.

France = little Japan confirmed :p

EDIT: Does the IDG graph refer to the solar 1st Half ( from 1st January to 30th June) or to the fiscal 1st Half ( from 1st April to 30th September)?

After 4 weeks of ‘FIFA 13’ domination we have a new No1 this week (still from EA) thanks to ‘Medal of Honor: Warfighter’ at No1 for 360/PS3/PC as the 14th installment in the series. ‘MOH: Warfighter’ (developer Danger Close) is a direct sequel to the series reboot ‘Medal of Honor’ from October 2010, which remains the fastest week 1 seller in the series and the third biggest overall in the UK (behind 2002’s ‘MOH Frontline’ and 2003’s ‘MOH Rising Sun’). The aforementioned ‘FIFA 13’ only drops to No2 (-17%) and the title remains comfortably ahead of all other FIFA titles in terms of sales units over the opening 5 weeks, some 20% ahead of FIFA 12, the previous best-seller. Microsoft’s ‘Forza Horizon’ (Playground Games/Turn 10 Studios) can be considered the 5th installment in the long-running ‘Forza Motorsport’ Xbox series and debuts here at No3. Activision Blizzard’s ‘Skylanders Giants’ (-43%) drops 2 places to No4, Bethesda’s ‘Dishonored’ (-48%) drops 2 to No5 and Ubisoft’s ‘Just Dance 4’ is also down 2 to No6 (+1%). After that we have the remaining 2 big new releases of week 43, with Nintendo’s 3DS ‘Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask’ debuting at No8 and Mind Candy’s DS/3DS ‘Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Theme Park’ right behind at No9.

THE WORDS! They'll drift away without the _!
Was hoping they would compare Horizon to FM4, since we know 4 did just over 100k week 1.

I suspect Horizon is a bit below that.

edit: or atleast 30k below that ^

I thought the advertising was less than usual as well.

Nah it was actually all over the UK channels, about as much AC was. Now for FH I haven't see any ads and was actually believing it'd flop because of that so I was quite surprised seeing the chart.

Wasn't expecting #1 on the SKU chart for Forza Horizon. Impressive and well deserved. The only racing game I've had actual fun with in a good few years.

Skylanders Giants success on 360 (in line with Wii) shows that Microsoft has clearly brought in the younger demographic to its fold. Games like this never even used to crack the Top 40 on Xbox/360.

Yep, seen endless Halo 4 adverts and a few Kinect ones too (lol), but nothing for Horizon. Still, with Horizon as a sub-franchise of Forza, it seems that commercially Don Mattrick has created his new Need for Speed.

Simply amazing.

Interested to see Polyphony updates their Software Title List - it hasn't been updated from December 2011 where GT5 peaked at 7,43M. This years data (3 editions in 3 territories - Spec II/JP, GT5XL/US, Academy Edition/PAL + Greatest Hits edition on all 3 territories + bundles) will certainly produce an interesting total.

Layton debut is lower than usual.

I think it was expected given Layton, despite being very successful, isn't Mario, and so it's affected by being released on a platform with a much lower userbase than DS had when the other released. But it'll do pretty well during next weeks, when sales in general will go much higher.

EDIT: Good debut for Forza Horizon, and even MOH, despite being lower than the 2010 title, no? I feared the 3DS version of Moshi Monsters would have been lower. XD
