Halo |OT12| Last One Out, Get the Lights

What? Why would you leave something like that to the community? It makes for a far less involved application. Waypoint had awesome reach integration, I'd love to see that on Halo 4.
You see, the mistake you made is putting "Waypoint" and "awesome" in the same sentence. We don't take kindly to that type of talk 'round these parts...

I hate that I have so much less time to spend here - I feel like the conversation has moved past all the comments I want to make. Gonna make 'em anyway. :)

We call that Saltpeter.
Shouldn't that be anti-saltpeter?

The blackout of stats was on the 14th and were fixed before max population hours...I'm confused. The dips are on the 12/13 the days Blops 2 just came out that had continuos playlist population logging.

I'm not saying you are wrong I'm saying the stats clearly show Blops 2 hit the population.
The blackout started mid-afternoon on the 13th - before the peak that day. You're almost certainly right that there was a drop due to BlOps2 - but you're not seeing it in that picture, you're seeing a Tuesday 'peak' captured in the middle of the afternoon.

And mine is 81,003. So it seems to actually have gone in order of preorder maybe. I preordered mine as soon as it was available on Amazon.
We got email from someone today who claims to have received '000001' - he's afraid to open it. :) I've asked 343 to look into this, and see if it's possible that he might actually have the first one.

Really excited for Snipes but really bummed out by the map choice for the playlist, Snipes is always fun on small to mid maps as its all about fast paced jump shots and skill. On large maps it turns into a camping and waiting game.

Halo Snipers doesn't need to be like real life snipers and is more fun when it plays to its arcadey strengths rather than trying to be realistic.

If Halo is set in the same universe we live in, but in the ~26th century, why can't chief just read archives of the Halo books that we have on our shelves at the moment to figure out what to do?

Sometime in the Future, Halo will be written out of history because some COD loving maniac will take presidency.

(making a joke, no hate intended)

Make them fun, think Reid18/Kampy. Ultra serious MLG stuff gets boring after the first few times.

Montages like Ninja's last Reach montage are fantastic. Serious play mixed with humorous moments in between is a perfect mix. His real-life reactions are an added bonus.

Webdesign and web/game integration: Bungie>343.

This is not a subjective opinion but an objective truth.

I never said anything about what Bungie did. Why cling to something we don't have.

Fuck the reason I want the app is it's better and more responsive than the waypoint website. I'd prefer to make the best out of what we have than miss out in stats all together.

Totally understand. But why settle for less, when you can demand more?

Waypoint is pretty, it follows the "Halo 4" theme, and it's impressive from a tech standpoint, but the intuitiveness that Bungie provided with their site is definitely not there right now...

I'm content with waypoints UI and current level of information. Also thought ATLAS was a cool idea, the site sucks because it's slow, and could offer more. Right now thoughh I'd simply like what we currently have in a better integrated dedicated app so it's fast.

It's something I can expect soon, where a site upgrade and new systems can take much longer to create.

You are trolling right?
No. I was pretty amazed when I first played Morrowind, and I still love that game; but since then their general approach to open world design has been lacking. I only played through the tutorial area and I haven't touched the game since I tried to kill the Nord I tagged along with, only to have him bend down on his knee for a bit and get back up like nothing happened. Not that that's why I stopped playing the game or anything haha, but I haven't been instilled with the confidence that Skyrim really stands out from anything Bethesda's done already other than being newer and shinier.

That would be awesome and I definitely wouldn't open

It's my game of the entire generation, nevermind year. I'm more excited for the expansion than for most full games.

I'm gonna put some serious time into it once all the expansions come out and get discounted. I heard the upcoming one is adding spears, which have been sorely lacking in games lately and are my weapon of choice, so I'm excited for that. Hopefully they're fully integrated and an entirely new weapon class with a variety of them and not just a single one-off weapon.

Max Payne was a great game too, a little heavy on the cutscenes though.

I feel crap about Skyrim, didn`t put nearly enough time into it as I should have. I beat the main story but skipped most of the other stuff because of other games and busy with school.
