Yo!

Looks like Nintendo released a list of the top 20 games purchased on the eShop to-date. Here we go:

  1. New Super Mario Bros U
  2. ZombiU
  3. Trine 2: Director's Cut
  4. Nano Assault Neo
  5. Sonic & All-Sars Racing Transformed
  6. Scribblenauts Unlimited
  7. Assassin's Creed III
  8. Little Inferno
  9. Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition
  10. Nintendo Land
  11. Darksiders II
  12. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge
  13. Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper
  14. Madden NFL 13
  15. Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two
  16. Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition
  17. Chasing Aurora
  18. Just Dance 4
  19. Rabbids Land
  20. EA Sports FIFA Soccer 13

I am SO happy that Trine 2 is so high up there. The Frozenbyte guys have to be really happy to see that. Awesome! :)

I really want to grab Trine 2 on the eShop because I adored the first game but I just can't get myself to jump at the $20 price point. I know it sounds silly but I have so many other games to play right now that even a $5 price cut would have made me grab it instantly. Ugh.

I see Wii U owners are big Call of Duty fans.

It's not on the eShop.

If only Nintendo would give us numbers. Would love to see how much money the devs get for Trine 2 and Nano Assault.

Saw this earlier. Fantastic to see Nano Assault up there! I'm considering Trine 2. I always meant to pick it up on Steam but somehow never got around to it. I'm not surprised to see NSMBU is #1. For me, it was a no-brainer to download. That way it's always at the ready, disc or no.

I've been considering Nano Assault. I might pull the trigger; people seem to like it and the 3DS version too well enough.

Zombi U sales seem like a positive sign. Wonder what the actual numbers are for that list. Props to Ubisoft for giving the Wii U some original content. Hope Rayman Legends pays off for them as well.

People have great taste ;) My purchases this weekend

I wouldn't put too much weight behind these charts. I mean, Darksiders II might be above Ninja Gaiden 3, but Ninja Gaiden's Miiverse community is a couple thousand members larger.

Still don't know what the deal with Activision is in regards to the eShop.

Also, very disappointed that neither Batman or Mass Effect 3 are available digitally.

10. Nintendo Land

This makes me sad that so many people are buying this - people buying this game either bought the Wii U Basic set and then purchased the game anyways, losing out on the extra stuff you get with Deluxe set basically for free, or they are getting a Deluxe and then buying a second copy of the game so they don't have to swap discs to play it.

Could be because more people purchased the disc version of that game....same with Nintendo Land.

I DO think these charts are important because they allow us to gauge how well the indie games are performing. So far, they are really kicking ass.

All of Nintendo's games are. It's up to 3rd parties on this one.

This is something Nintendo probably shouldn't have given third parties freedom over. I expect all PS4/720 games to be on PSN/XBLA as well as having their retail versions.
