Nope, co-op with a mate. Didn't die during the assault, but nothing. Replayed and survived the entire mission: still nothing. Checked online and I'm not the only one with the problem.

@Falcon: yeah, I think that qualifies as either bugged or extremely mis-worded.

Well, like I said, the Dedicated to Crimson achievement does not work if you do all of the chapters in Matchmaking.

Nice. That's the map that looked the best based off the quick preview, will see what they are all like soon enough. Still coming out this Saturday? Preview wouldn't reveal date. Don't think I've heard of stuff coming out on a Saturday either.

Edit: Derp, for some reason I thought the 10th was Saturday but it's a Monday and that's when Sops comes out every week so likely the date.

This weeks Spartan Ops episode was pretty cool.. Im looking forward to getting home and playing the missions, Im hoping for something a little more engaging this week.

Well.. It has a pretty skybox. Why can't the rest of the map look unique and interesting like that? The play space just looks so bland, drab, and boring. Map design really didn't look great to me there, but I won't judge that until I play it. One way or another, we need more Arena maps, or semi-arena maps. I would have for some maps with more verticality also, whether something like Guardian or Lockout or something like Construct. Blah. I liked Halo 4's maps before, but now I feel like the variety sucks in terms of unique gameplay experiences.

Apparently (and I can confirm it works), the purpose of the achievement is not to not die, it is to activate the portal once you've killed every enemy.
Just did it in matchmaking, and I died during the defend part. Also, it appears you can't do it on Normal, despite what the description says.

any one up for the "Bros to the Close" achievement (keep all the marines alive in mission 4 of the campaign on Heroic)
I tried numerous times but one or more of those marines keep running up and dieing.

Thought you guys might enjoy this. It's a custom gametype 343 lead multiplayer map designer Kynan Pearson created called "Binary Slayer." Kynan told me about it while we were up there filming walkthrough videos for the Crimson map pack last week, then let me record it and share it with the Halo world.

Try it, it's...crazy. :)

God this game is magical. Our team was down 89-4 in a KOTH match, then worked our way to being down 149-121. We managed to sweep the next hill and take the next one for the few seconds we needed to win the match. 150-149.

Most multiplayer fun I've had in a long time.

Just repeat Chapter 2, Episode 5 of Spartan Ops over and over again. You get 6K EXP per run and it takes 7.5 to 9 minutes, not to mention the commendations you get. You get double the EXP in Matchmaking Spartan Ops compared to playing in private mode.

I'd take it, but it looks like 343i may be fixing their specialization issue. The thread is almost at a thousand pages right now, supposedly they'll send the codes out this week. Anyone have an Oceanic Armor code?

Weird to see so many people down on the Scattershot. It's not as effective as the shotgun, but it's way more common and gets me a ton of kills.

I continue to be frustrated with all the cheap automatic kills in MP. It doesn't help that there is no penalty for k/d ratio so these guys are just running around spraying.

Was matchmaking screwed today? I wound up in a lot of matches missing players and Haven had some weird glitch where the weapon spawns where on they showed up on the map but when you passed them they werent there (but the notification was)

damn, i racked up 4d of playtime, but can't tell you the exact number of maps (but i think the game comes with about 8 of them?)

however, i can tell you there's been no DLC yet.

Spartan Ops was laggy as hell tonight. Ib fact most of ny mp games in halo 4 have had. a good deal if rubber banding issues.

it might be yeah, I played 3 games and had the opposite of your experience, one guy on the other team racked up 32 kills, the other 25 or something.

the guy that was our 'king' did NOT try and not get shot, he had permanent sprint button held down, other side was a tightly knit team. Impossible.

I like the idea though, but will suffer way worse than team slayer does from poor communication (sucks for me, I only play random)

sort of agree on complex though, that level is weirdly sized. Played team king of the hill the other day, without a jetpack it's hilariously boring to run from the one side to the other all the time.

Just some background stuff on myself with the series..

I've been around 90%+ of Halo XBL playlist life so I would say that makes a difference in understanding what works and what doesn't from over the years. My word isn't god, if you got some serious feedback about it feel free to state.

i just did infinity slayer, completed all the challenges today.



anyone notice that on haven the sticky det. and needler spawns were stuck in the level? every match i played there tonight it was the case. for me and everyone. really bizarre. anyways, i hit the xp limit for the first time today, just 180xp left before sr49. i think i'll finally hit 50 tomorrow night, excited.


honestly, favorite halo multi since H2. without a doubt. i feel like H3 had way more stressful issues and reach was just an ok follow up.
