Yah, this one isnt that cool though as you can only fly in that little area, or else you will deload., so Im not gonna make a video and all for it, as you use the same near method as the last one (have someone get into pelican seat, then run into loading zone, pelican falls with no pilot, fly it).

Good work, you've found some really interesting stuff! Hopefully I'll get to try it out sometime soon.

Something weird was happening tonight in Halo 4, 3 instances during a match on swat I go to fire my weapon a couple of times and out of nowhere it decides to switch pistol for me. I have full ammo and my finger is nowhere near Y, what gives?

Sounds like residual effects from jizzing on your controller.
It doesn't have to be jizz. Any sticky liquid will do.

Shit, I wanna buy the last episodes of the Walking Dead, but the points card I bought has an invalid code, so now I'm 400 points short.

Probably won't get an answer on that until tomorrow... When it's already too late.

Also, Halo.

The walking dead sale ends tomorrow night.

HOLY SHIT at part 1.

Gonna pick them all up, all 5 parts are good?
Yeah, definitely, each in their own way. The only way I could even begin to recommend it is if the plan is to get all five, as the continuation of your relationship with those characters through all the episodes is one of the most incredible things about it.

All right, can't wait. I'm getting the last two today as well, no matter what. :lol

Walking Dead is really that good? I've heard a lot of people go on about it, but haven't looked into it personally. I've got like 1600 spare MS points, so might buy them (only 5 episodes, right?)

had a match where it was just me versus 4 the whole game. luckily most of them were pretty shit so I still went 30-14 and won but I thought this wasn't supposed to happen with JIP. there were 20,000 players supposedly online in Infinity slayer.

and the funny thing is, it started off 1v4 because of halo 4 not requiring a full lobby to start a game after the previous one ends and giving players next to no time at all to choose whether to stay or leave.

Quality games tonight with Dom and Nutter.

Team Regicide is a pretty nice gametype, but it's been around a while for a "temporary" playlist. Can I haz Extraction yet?

Finally unlocked Stability, only got to use it briefly, but I think it will significantly increase my usage of the Light Rifle as I predicted.

Time for sleepz, or a few Always Sunny eps.

Starting matches uneven is just uncalled for.

If this game had any other name besides Halo, it would probably be decent.

Reach Needler >>> H4 Needler. The fat that the H4 needler doesn't need to break shields to supercombine is negated by the bloom or spread or whatever makes half my needles miss their target by a mile. Neither version of the gun is going to get you more than one kill per life, but the Reach version is at least more consistent in getting that kill.

Still, the Needler is still going to be the second weapon I get the Mastery commendation for, after the BR.
I'd disagree. But I haven't used Reach Needler that much. 4's Needler sounds so powerful and I'm getting more than just one kill the most times.

Remember the time where everyone said dexterity will be the better Tactical package? Good times. I am so far away from stability. It's frustrating.

And yeah. I want to play extraction on the disc maps. Where is the Extraction playlist?

I just realized I said "one kill per life" when I meant to say "per clip." Big difference there, whoops. Yeah, I do find myself able to stay alive longer with the Needler in 4, but I'm not sure if that's due to the way the Needler itself performs, or everything else that's different between the two games. For whatever reason I feel like the Reach version got kills slightly more quickly, which I guess could be due to that game's slower movement as much as the tracking accuracy.

I don't think I could point to one specific thing I'd change about the H4 Needler, or really have a clear point about it other than to say that it seems a lot less effective than it seems like it should be.

I'll still be using dexterity on the smaller maps, but stability is going to be a godsend on the larger, open maps.

stability gives you a huge advantage on complex, for one. it's way too easy to take down players that camp the rooftops

I am using Dexterity ionly in combination with the Battle Rifle which I am only using on small maps like Haven, "Harvest" or "Adrift".

Yes. I do think the needler appears less effective than it really is and I kind of like it that way because most people will underestimate the power of it. It is a great weapon and I get a lot of kills with it on Haven. (At the end when I end up fighting a guy who's using a needler, I am always thinking I can survive longer than I usually can. haha)

A bit off topic but TheYetee.com (A daily t-shirt deal site) features a Halo/Red Vs Blue-themed shirt today:

It costs $11 + shipping cost. TheYetee.com ships worldwide.

Just completed Ep 3. First half was somewhat weak, but I felt the second half made up for it.

Is the Walking Dead worth picking up if you haven't seen the show at all?

This, I played the demo for the game a while ago when it first was released and thought it was OK, but this is a pretty good price so I'm unsure right now.

They're not tied to each other, but yes, it's definitely worth picking up.

Try the first part - its free anyway so wont hurt.

I liked the first part - I haven't seen the show but it made no difference. I wont but the rest though because I feel like I can probably just watch it on Youtube and get most of the experience out of it. I dont know if thats true or not though?

It's kind of easier to tell if they're good with 4 than it was with Reach, since you can compare their K/D to what kind of matches they're playing--if it's all Flood, for instance.

I was just being a prick and making out as if Halo Reach and Halo 4 are such bad games that skill doesn't matter. :p Really though, a high K/D in those games can be achieved through abusing the mechanics rather than being 'good' at the game. Of course there are people who are good with a high K/D too.

Let's at least give credit to 343i for adding in the BR to Halo 4, that must have been a hard decision.

I was a huge proponent of the DMR in reach, but seeing it in use in H4 made me rethink that. I personally think the scope is too effective as a starting weapon.

I think ideally everyone would start with the BR, but DMR pickups would be spread around the maps.

Same.

Custom classes and no static weapons on maps has killed that dream.

First off, I vehemently disagree with those saying the Brute Shot was a useless weapon. At least for the Halo 3 version, it was very effective at overturning vehicles and I got a lot of infantry kills with it (and if the vehicle was weak enough, vehicle kills with it too). Great weapon. H3 version was the best because it didn't have that unpredictable, annoying bounce to it that the H2 version had.

Um, no. Not at all nor in the slightest, and the fact that you say you can't get more than one kill on a single clip tells me you're not using it properly. This is the point where I'd link to footage of me using the Needler, but, well, you know...

I sat back today and watched my niece try and play Halo Reach. It was then that I realised that I actually kinda miss it; I miss the predictability and just the way matches played out as a whole. You could go into a game and have a solid plan that would work (ie: You could rush sniper at the start and kill the guys going through the teleporters on Blood Gulch, or sneak around and grab the enemy flag without them knowing... etcetera). There's none of that in Halo 4. It's just... dull. Hiding in rocks for 80% of the time because of a DMR that can easily ping you from across the map and over abundant power weapons that people can call in whenever they want.

I never once thought I'd ever say that. Bloom can still smd, but as a whole package Reach has never looked so good.

Nostalgia kills.

Douchebag 343:

-Introduces tighter skill matching--creates matches with uneven teams.

-Gives flag runner pistol--pistol fails to fire.

I've noticed this, thought it was only me. Every so often it skips a shot or two.

Also, just discovered Light Rifle + Stability. Doesn't even seem fair... so long as the connection is decent, that gun dominates scoped in.

The flagnum definitely has a glitch in it where the 2nd or 3rd bullet doesn't seem to fire. Especially in the first clip. It's very similar to the inconsistency of the boltshot (most notable in campaign) when you fire individual projectiles instead of the charge up shot.

I have fun playing when I just turn my brain off and run around ignoring teamwork.

Welcome to Halo of Duty. This is exactly how most people play Call of Duty and to some extent Battlefield 3. Just turn off your brain (aka your will to win) and focus on selfish fun (leveling up your commendations, trolling your own team, going for splatter sprees, spawn camping, ignoring the objective, etc.) and Halo 4 becomes a lot more enjoyable. It feels dirty after awhile, however, and you'll find yourself drifting away to other games. Halo lost the addictive hook it used to have.

I quit Reach before the title update, never played anniversary.. and I'm running thin on patience with 4 already. My nostalgia is for halo 3 (and to a bigger extent halo2).

Bloom damaged Halo the worst for me, as it turned every rifled gunfight into a dice roll where a trigger spammer might beat out a methodical shooter if the game felt it so.

Now this perks system, loadouts and the re-introduction of AA's, instant respawn in a game with shielding, and worse netcode has rendered 4 to this different but equally inconsistent mess for me. That's before I even get into ordinance, forgettable maps, and game-mode changes.

I have fun playing when I just turn my brain off and run around ignoring teamwork.

Managed two games before quitting in a pit of frustration and sadness. Boltshot camouflage seemed to be order of the day on both Complex and Adrift, and I was being sniped by invisible Spartans who'd got fortunate with their personal ordnance. So many terrible, terrible balance decisions it's beyond belief.

Halo 4 is far worse than Reach, for me. Bloom was bad, no doubt, and the slower movement options sucked, too, but there's an absolute wealth of almost equally inane decisions in Halo 4 that combine and transform into one humungous pile of nonsense.

The problem is, the little faults all add up and multiply, and my patience is so thin that even little things start to rile me up whilst playing. I'm being pinged by a DMR from the other side of Complex immediately after I spawn, immediately, and I'm just too tired to even bother continuing. It's a consistent stream of poor game design, wrapped around a solid core that's entirely Bungie's doing, and I'm struggle to give a shit and play through it.

I can't think of one thing that 343 have added to multiplayer which I believe fits Halo, or makes sense. I could write 3,000 words on the changes they've made which I believe do the opposite.

i've had this happen as well, but i think it has to do with not letting the trigger go 100% back to resting position. the boltshot does the same thing to me from time to time if i try to fire it to rapid. dont know if its a glitch or a design decision...
