no sure about the hate on gaf.. you guys never watched sitcoms... I've never been annoyed by the laugh track...its only in ever single comedy show... I completely ignore it when watching, the show does very well... I enjoy it alot...

read everyones posts in Sheldon's voice... no one would argue. lol

You mean like when 343 went out of their way to supply MLG with the Anniversary DLC for their events and were rewarded with MLG dropping Reach only a couple of months later? Nah, they've always stood by Halo's side out of love for the game :lol

Not nice to see decent members of the community banned, but if people stuck to discussing the game and the franchise (or even off topic stuff) instead of flinging shit then they wouldn't be in this predicament. I know people are tired with the situation at the moment, as we wait for official channels to awake from post-launch hibernation, but in the mean time it's best to keep your frustrations muted if the alternative is directing them at others.

I've come to terms that 343i won't re-evaluate game mechanics. I've been trying to make myself heard since the release of Halo 3, I did have some displeasure when Halo 2 was released but the patch eased that pain. I'm just tried if being apart the most vocal community yet we always fall upon deaf ears and empty promises.

Edit: I'd be completely happy if they made default movement like Halo 2's. I want crisp movement again. If 343i gave us only that I'd be satisfied.

Well if I stay alive, I don't usually mind those types of assists. If they swoop in, I won't get too pissed (just as long as they do the same thing when I'm getting ganged up on). But going +20 WOULD be pretty aggravating, lol

But it just seems like it's pandering to me when you see "+5" in the middle of your screen after you respawn.

"Even though you died, we'll throw you a bone anyway". It just makes me even more salty =p

....This is not a new strategy, hopping and strafing back and forth have been staple evasion techniques in Halo forever. Or at least since Halo 2... didnt actually see too many people jumping around in Halo: CE, but it was offline, so obviously a smaller sample population.

EDIT: Without watching that video I assumed it was about dolphin diving in Battlefield 2, I now realise I'm an idiot.

Pre-patch Battlefield 2 dolphin diving was absolutely ridiculous.

But I was mesmerised with the game as a whole so the frustration didn't stop me playing. I remember getting home from school not long after launch and my brother had reached the next rank, and spent the unlock point on some shitehawk LMG. I was livid, I'd had my eye on the G36C for weeks.

You know it wasn't bad in Halo or Halo 2. At least I didn't encounter it a lot. Then Halo 3 it started becoming more damn common and now in Halo 4 it's off the fucking charts. It's such goddamn bullshit. It really is. Hurrr Duuurrrr I can bunny hop around better then you so I win. Fuck actually shooting anyone. Just hop the fuck around till they have to reload. Just pisses me off so goddamn much. Guess it doesn't help that I've had 3 games where right off spawn someone on the other team has an Incineration cannon. I mean literally from spawn number 1 with no running to one of the initial ordinance drops. Then thow in the campers camping with invisibility and you have one frustrating goddamn day of this game.

It's sad because everything underneath the crap is fun. But between the bullshit and of course people playing like assholes it just gets so goddamn frustrating.

Yeah, the core gameplay is really solid... It's just been slathered with a thick layer of shit.
