This Boy Can Fight Aliens end (kono danshi uchuujin to tatakaemasu)
http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m62y0yUBqv1qco43wo3_500.jpghttp://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m3krlhfW9g1qg4i9go1_r1_500.gif

Best 30$ on an anime Ive ever spent so far. Really good story for the character interactions and kind of really liked the visuals and the character designs, was it all really done by only one person? Simply the story of an amnesiac boy (kakashi) who stumbles upon two characters in a task force to fight aliens (Shiro and Arikawa) has fun while continually getting more and more depressed as he lives with them and ponders his past. I liked how the bonds between them grew and nice moments of holding hands, a minor love triangle of sorts, and even sleeping together. Much of it was fun and lighthearted while then throwing bits to show the feelings of Kakashi as he did feel somewhat unneeded. Liked their time cooking together and just daily life. Really good climax and
so glad he returned to them
. Visually liked how there was a nice mix of words and such to add emphasis to what they were saying or how many of the environments looked fresh, certain kind of style thats hard to put into words.

The blu ray had other shorts, two with the same theme of exploring characters who were thinking of wanting the world too end. Sekaikei Sekairon seemed interesting and one of the characters definitely seemed as inspiration for Shiro, and Ra/Radio Noise Planet (a planet with only six people) which had the best music of the sorts but was kind of short and decent. My favorite of the shorts was Robotica Robotics, a really good story of sorts of what is love between Masa and his two robot sons Haru and Natsu who had previously been thrown out by some lady. It got really emotional and such but was filled with comedy and what not. Haru and Natsu so good. We need more bl anime.

Wait wait... is this a yaoi version of Tsuritama?! lol

Can I get someone to confirm my beliefs that the final episode of Say "I love you" sucked total ass? I watched it a few days ago but for some reason it's really bugging me. I actually really enjoyed the show. It's not my usual style but I had fun with it. But then in the finale it felt like absolutely nothing happened and Mei and Yamato were in exactly the same awkward situation they were episodes ago when it seemed like there was at least some character development throughout the series prior to this, unless that was all in my mind?

I just don't understand why it's bothering me so much. I feel like the rage is continuously growing inside of me. WHO THE FUCK ENDS A SHOW LIKE THAT ANYWAY!?
12 was the finale -- had an insert song, no traditional end credits, etc -- 13 was just a cute little epilogue. There's another episode coming with an upcoming issue of the still-ongoing manga too that will probably have a similar tone. To me 13 was just a reminder that stories are still being told in the universe if you want them. Definitely not a show or genre I ever get into too but I thought it was pretty charming myself, if frustrating and naive at times. But that was kind of the point, huh?

Beautiful.

Seriously! Did Japan pass a law that girls in school-life anime stories have to always have a conversation about the hated party in there presense. Talking about overused tropes! This one is quickly rising in infamy as the worst of them

Don't worry it's the dark side of Shoujo rearing it's ugly head.

Be greatful it was only that last episode and not integrated deeply into the actual show as a whole to that extent.

Kokoro Connect 15 (michi random 2)

Best comedy moments of the arc, so good with the one with Taichi and
Imouto and that kiss on the cheek and everyone hearing his thoughts
and Aoki
hearing Yui's thoughts there in the room
. Kind of like where this is going, only two more to go.

Those sunglasses sure bring out Bernie's charsima. Look at all those tones too.

Fucking wow at Al imagining the
nuclear strike on the colony.
Thankfully he's super pragmatic.
Just need to destroy the Gundam by Christmas night? No problem!
Certainly slower and more deliberate than the last ep but I suspect the finale will deliver.

Maybe it's the same for everyone and I just haven't noticed but Chris seems to look a little different each ep.

1- Remove any old codec packs you have installed before installing KCP

2- Set renderer to mad moeVR in video player

That's it.

Ahh. gotcha. thanks.

I don't know much and I can't even use specific terms apart from some very well known names, someone like Unknown Soldier is certainly the knowledgeable one on these matters. Anyway, just be careful of installing right away anything before making sure you disabled previously installed codec packs and renderers you could have. If you don't know how to access settings managers of the media splitter, find what internal or external filters your preferred player uses.

I can't say more without knowing what you specifically use right now.

Yeah. Im much more into physical disc media. Dont use computer players nearly as much.

Sentai Filmworks have already licensed Space Brothers, by the way.

SWWEEEEET. will collect it all :D

Don't worry, they're really 300 year old vampires. /animecopout

Like in Tsukuyomi moonphase? Hazuki was similar situation.

That bird is gonna ruin the show.

Birds make shows better! I can think of several examples.

Tari Tari #1? Fucking Sawa lovers.

You rang?

WELL YOU THOUGHT WRONG!!

Funny stuff, first few episodes showed promise in the ridiculousness of where it was heading, then it was like one big training arc until serious business happened, and was serious business fun.

Still feel like gouging my eyes out with the cg, especially the crowds, dear god!

Sankarea OVA 2 (Ep 14)

Well that was almost a good episode and the OP is kind of catchy out of season. I wish the episode
had been real, almost a superpower battle even, ugh! stupid dream sequence

"Both Spice and Wolf and Maoyuu Maou Yuusha involve a human and a supernatural entity working together to solve economic and financial problems in a medieval setting, whilst a romantic relationship slowly blossoms between them."

+ Same director
+ Same theme song performer!
+ Maou is the same VA as Holo!
+ Yuusha is the same VA as Kraft Lawrence and Blood-C dog!

Duckroll: Maoyuu doesn't just have the same director as Spice and Wolf. It has the same director, the same writer, and the same art director.

We don't need Holo/Horo anymore. She abandoned us. :(

Her days are over. Maoyuu and her :chet will guide us from now on. ;_;

Join the revolution!

I like the idea of it.
Could be pretty good.
Especially with that staff.

I don't get the spice and wolf rave. I didn't think is was this popular. Huh... You learn something new everyday.

Yeah it was pretty popular.
Love some economics and naked wolf goddess.

Guyz don't be like this dude and drink too much even though it's new years

My rant was that school-life drama animes ALWAYS have the scene where the some female character is being hated or misunderstood and its always communicated by a group of two or more generic female school mate off in the corner having an open conversation just to stop in the middle of it and glance at her as though they didn't mean to be overheard and then rush off.

The worst offenders will go and use the trope in just about every episode. It's not even a cheap trick used by cheap shows. Some of the best dramas I've seen in the past two years have fallen heavily and repeatedly on this sword... to the point that its beginning to hurt to just see it.

Maybe it’s me. Maybe this is a cultural thing as natural as saying hello. Maybe this is how all young Japanese women interact with one another. Maybe I'm seeing the manure that allows the beautiful flower called womanhood to blossom. Honestly, it's just an anime and has about as much bearing on reality as aura fights do but I feel like this is either a lazy short-hand for something deeper no one is exploring or simply just bad writing.

Am I off base? Can someone explain this?

Maturity, bitches.
Hulu is recommending a show called My Bride is a Mermaid. A guy has to marry a mermaid who rescues him or be executed.

No punch line, just thought I'd mention it.
I've actually had that show on my backlog list for a while. Maybe I should watch it next. My list basically consists of random shows I've seen the name of and bothered to bookmark the wiki page for.

Yes they did and the UN passed a ruling that you're not allowed to complain about it. So I guess this is good bye.

I should watch Utena one of these days.

You really should.
not because its revered here but because it is absolutely unique, and quite enjoyably weird.

It's in my backlog, which is so full of anime that I don't feel like watching anything. ;_;

I know that feeling soooooo well.
Its like "what do I watch today? This or this or this...maybe that..but wait I wanted to see this too....screw it Im going play a game instead"

I just wanted to say that it's been a great year, and AnimeGAF has brought me much pleasure and entertainment. I can't believe that it's already New Year's Eve. I'd like to raise a glass of champagne to the following members (which include - but is not limited to): Cajunator, SDBurton, Chet Rippo, Uchip, Hitokage, /XX/, Ultimadrago, RurouniZel, Izayoi, Regulus Tera, Theonik and a few others I'm probably missing . I have had some wonderful encounters with you, and you are all fine people. To everyone else - you entertain and amuse me daily. Your passion for this hobby is nothing short of inspirational, and this place wouldn't be what it is without you. Half of my enjoyment with this hobby comes from watching new and old shows, and half of it comes from here. Thank-you.

Happy new years man! And to all my fellow animugaffers.
I love you all.

The most conventional shoujo ends on a very cute and shoujo moment. What a surprise! Still, while it didn't really try to do anything in particular, as a shoujo it serves its function well. Heck, you could even forgive it for looking extremely cheap most of the time because they just need to spend the money on the bishies. lol

Haha, I've actually seen this happen a couple of times in high school. It's a convenient storytelling device because it conveys a few things all in one scene: some has a negative reputation, it's being spread by a certain group (usually it's either males or females, but sometimes it's certain cliques), and the person in question is aware of it. It is exaggerated and overused to a certain extent in anime, but Japanese schools could have a different experience. After all, bullying in Japanese schools is a problem according to people who teach there.

Think about how many times you've seen a scene where the protagonist is either eating lunch at his desk or walking somewhere when he overhears people in a group saying negative things about a character. That sounds pretty mundane, but to me it's kinda similar.
