all my loli wolf companions are so moe
they still aren't breedable,so you can't train them properly,so using them in a serious multiplayer environment is a problem.

Only trouble is getting proper IVs and nature so you have to soft reset. Otherwise EVs are easy to retrain and they don't really need breed moves.

My comments in bold.

Yeah.

Honestly Catch Rate is already described, etc.

My comments in bold.

I get the first comment for new players I guess, but at this point in time its kind of just a hassle to go into the internet for that stuff

I still believe that they dont do that purely based on the fact that they want to sell manuals, obviously

other stuff sounds good and I agree, except that I want all HMs gooooooooooooooone for good

Pokemon Stadium on the N64 still has better battle graphics. Nintendo really needs to outsource the graphics to a different developer. This looks about on par with your average DS RPG now when it should be on the same level with Revelations, Mario 3D Land or Kid Icarus.

Game Freak should use some of their mountains of cash to buy everyone glasses.

Bahaha, you can't be serious.

Seems Chespin is the least popular; I wonder how long it will take for somebody to draw up a sad comic/fanart that tries to guilt people into choosing it akin to when Piplup and Oshawott were first revealed.

Oshawott had awesome second and final forms though. We have yet to see what these little guys evolve into.

Personally, Chespin's my favorite when I first saw the lineup and Froakie my least (although it's quickly growing on me).

But Surf and Waterfall are like two of the best water moves...

Wow the X legendary looks dumb as all heck. I could dig the Y one, though. Now I'm unsure if I should get B2/W2 or not with this coming out in October.

this still beats the point of removing HMs since id still have to carry Pokemon based on their HM "abilities" and not their battle performance

The point of removing HMs would be to avoid having to carry a usually unwanted move in your four-move array. If it's inherent to the pokemon, it would encourage building a diverse team of Mon in order to tackle the overworld and in game battling without having the former encroach on the latter.

This pokemon has pushed me into seriously getting a 3DS this year, I was always thinking about getting but no there's a mainline game built for the 3DS, I figured i may as take the leap. Considering I've never actually owned a pokemon game despite playing the shit out of some of my friends, I figured even if it's only a decent pokemon game I'd be satisfied.

Yeah, this really needs to happen. I still don't know why its taken so long already. I'm at a point in B2 where I need cut and surf and its seriously hindered me from progressing. It's not a deal breaker, just annoying at this point.

I'm glad people saw the horrible error of their ways with Oshawott when Samurott showed up to fuck everybody's shit. Piplup is also my favorite of the 4th gen starters.

I guess it has better environments...? But you should look at the models again, there's no way Stadium's are better. Also, Stadium (and all other console Pokemon games) didn't even allow actual physical conctact between Pokemon, making all melee attacks look pretty dumb. The trailer shows one Pokemon touching another directly, which instantly makes the animation leagues above what we've seen before.

The actual "world" gameplay doesn't look good, but I disagree about the battles.

Watch Da Birdie

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet
Eh, Fennekin's boring to me. I really dislike the sleeker Pokemon like it mostly.

Chespin and Froakie are where it's at...the latter is almost as good as the king of Amphibian Pokemon, Palpitoad.

Here's hoping we get regular Pokemon reveals each month in CoroCoro from now on.

diverse team building is encouraged by merely playing the game. Once you get to a gym new players realize the vast difference having the right type of Pokemo makes, etc.

Its terrible having to "give up" one of your moves to HMs, as you say. Its what makes you travel with an HM slave, but having the option to be able to just not worry about having the right type of Pokemon for HMs would be even better.

It would actually make for more interesting diversity in Teams. Whole point would be to not have to worry about saving the training of your REAL team until after you beat the game.

Awww yissssssss, mother fuckin' fire types.

(I hated the last two fire types)

Chespins pretty sweet too.

I really hope theres more major changes to this sequel than just 3D graphics though. Less by-the-numbers RPGing please.

I have not played anything Pokemon since Yellow and I LOVED it. I am not a big fan of hundreds of pokemon nor do I know much about the storyline (if there is one). How likely is it that I will enjoy this game? I loved the 151 pokemons and I dont want to have to learn the other... idk... 400 new ones.

I dont see why revealing 2-3 a month is out of the question. Thats about 30 roughly till release leaving 100+ pokemon to discover once its out if they do a set of 150. even at 100 new pokemon, thats 60+ to discover.

The gesture Froakie's making, with his fingers at his temple, makes me think he'll have a bit of Psychic.

I didn't really take that much into account with my sketch of possible evos (although the 'old master' type having telekinetic powers a la Yoda is a very natural fit), but I'm gonna repost the sketch anyway since it seems like it was kinda lost in the quick pace of the thread:

I think you really need to take a look at the N64 game again.

I really hope they get rid of HMs unless they're really, really useful in battle.

Why not just give the player character a knife instead of cut and a torch instead of flash?

And like... surf and waterfall should just be combined when it comes to map usage.

I dont want to waste an entire slot on a HM slave.

Those two dots on it's face look kind of like glasses.

Would be cool if his final evolution was an old frog (kind of like that fan art that was posted earlier).

edit: And apparently it was you who drew it lol

Say, when Gen 5 was announced, was Zoroark and Zorua already revealed in Smash or something? Since I'm surprised we get Gen 6 announcement first before the mysterious Gen 6 mon in the Genesect movie.

I get the first comment for new players I guess, but at this point in time its kind of just a hassle to go into the internet for that stuff

We need actual data for IVs and EVs, but for catch rate, etc. I think the game explains it fine.

Hey the lesser bomb for me today was hearing Iwata pronounce this Pokemon's name:

Sweee-coon???

I don't know how I'd been saying it all this time, but it wasn't that.

I blame the movie for the "Soowee-kyun". Thanks to subs I realized it's "swee-kun" (sui and kun).

Bahaha, you can't be serious.

Why wouldn't I be serious? It looks about like DQIX on the DS. Doesn't look up to the quality I'd expect on the 3DS. I enjoy Pokemon like anyone well but I am still critical of GF in the graphics department. No reason we should just turn a blind eye because we're excited about a new game. :/

oh don't worry. we'll still get that eeveelution.

The series has never really been known for its in-depth battle system (in singleplayer campaign, I mean), but it'd be nice if it made me think outside the box with buffs and whatnot as opposed to just flamethrower my way to victory, etc.

Props on the avatar by the way. Love those books. :)

I'm pretty sure I'll be choosing Chespin after all. Water starter almost makes me not, but I think overall I like Chespin better.

I seriously doubt you're comparing that battle scene in Gen VI to be similar to that of DQIX.
