What I'm really worried about, though, is Nolan's sense of pacing.

I think he's lost his ability to pace films, assuming he ever had it.

TDKR was poorly paced.

Inception was somewhat poorly paced and the exposition was unnatural.

Time to brush up on this Kip Thorne's view of wormholes. From Wikipedia:

With Sung-Won Kim, Thorne identified a universal physical mechanism (the explosive growth of vacuum polarization of quantum fields), that may always prevent spacetime from developing closed timelike curves (i.e., prevent "backward time travel"). Seeing the same actors in every one of his movies kind of makes it lose a 'genuine feeling' to it. I definitely did not enjoy seeing Levitt and Cotillard on Batman. At least one of them was good.

This sounds very interesting. I love media about time travel/alternate dimensions. Time Machine and The Butterfly Effect were examples of pretty good movies with related themes. And the anime series, Noein, dealt with alternate dimensions; it also had amazing fight scenes. At any rate, I'm ready for Nolan to wow me.
