I thought the name sounded familiar, Spielburg was attached to this for quite a while. I wonder what happened.

Nolan is awesome
Time travel is awesome
SciFi is awesome
And I like the title too

Yea man, I'm down.

The project involves time travel and alternate dimensions in a story that sees a group of explorers travel through a wormhole.

Sources say that dealmaking has been underway for months and is described as very complex.

I don't think gaf is ready.

The official thread will be something else...

Time travel is tricky.

What I'm really worried about, though, is Nolan's sense of pacing.

I think he's lost his ability to pace films, assuming he ever had it.

TDKR was poorly paced.

Inception was somewhat poorly paced and the exposition was unnatural.

He's going to have to make up for TDKR, but the premise sounds good enough.

Time to brush up on this Kip Thorne's view of wormholes. From Wikipedia:

Thorne was one of the first people to conduct scientific research on whether the laws of physics permit space and time to be multiply connected (can there exist classical, traversable wormholes and "time machines"?). With Sung-Won Kim, Thorne identified a universal physical mechanism (the explosive growth of vacuum polarization of quantum fields), that may always prevent spacetime from developing closed timelike curves (i.e., prevent "backward time travel"). With Mike Morris and Ulvi Yurtsever he showed that traversable Lorentzian wormholes can exist in the structure of spacetime only if they are threaded by quantum fields in quantum states that violate the averaged null energy condition (i.e. have negative renormalized energy spread over a sufficiently large region). This has triggered research to explore the ability of quantum fields to possess such extended negative energy. Recent calculations by Thorne indicate that simple masses passing through traversable wormholes could never engender paradoxes — there are no initial conditions that lead to paradox once time travel is introduced. If his results can be generalised, they would suggest that none of the supposed paradoxes formulated in time travel stories can actually be formulated at a precise physical level: that is, that any situation in a time travel story turns out to permit many consistent solutions.

Ok, my mind is ready to be fucked.

I can't get enough of Bale, so make him the lead. But no more Caine, Levitt and definitely no Cotillard.

Seeing the same actors in every one of his movies kind of makes it lose a 'genuine feeling' to it. I definitely did not enjoy seeing Levitt and Cotillard on Batman. At least one of them was good.

The only actress from Nolan's filmography I want to see in a movie like this is Ellen Page.

Sounds too good to be true :-o

If you asked me yesterday to imagine up my dream movie it would be either a time-travel or space-exploration movie by Christopher Nolan.

I NEED this movie to happen. And I hope the story is free of cliche "someone is murdering people on a spaceship"-plots (here's looking at the almost-masterpiece Sunshine)'

This sounds very interesting. I love media about time travel/alternate dimensions. Time Machine and The Butterfly Effect were examples of pretty good movies with related themes. And the anime series, Noein, dealt with alternate dimensions; it also had amazing fight scenes. At any rate, I'm ready for Nolan to wow me.
