y'all make me sick

so does it really take more than a days work from one employee at 343 to fix the playlists?? I just don't understand it at all...

where is my classic playlist they promised?
why are there 2 regicide playlists??
why don't they copy the playlist system from COD? they seem to like to copy everything else from COD but want to limit themselves to 10 playlists nobody even wants
where is my competitive playlist? i don't care if it's 1-50, just something...
why not make team objective and combine a few playlists??
where is FFA

ffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu 343i

you guys are such a joke of a company

I just want Halo back.
This is basically it. I would be more than willing to give 343 my love and support if they said anything along the lines of "We messed up and we're sorry. Halo 5 will replicate the Halo 2/3 gameplay. No more Bloom, Armor Abilities, Ordanance Drops, Perks, Join in Progress, etc."

After 3 rounds of killing my boss and co-workers on the Lockout remake in Halo 4, I can say that it's faithful to Halo 2 and I LOVE it.

Also, juniors everywhere...

The layout that uses the exact same pieces from lockout is faithful. I am shocked.

Think of all the cool jetpack jumps you can do now......

Don't listen to him. Stop it.

It is not a pixel perfect remake of Halo 2's Lockout. Not all of the jumps are there, some spaces are larger or smaller. But that doesn't really matter because it plays pretty damn good. Just set your expectations because you're not going to load it up and feel like you're playing Halo 2.

Yeah I can't wait for someone to jetpack up from sword spawn or boltshot me at every corner

Even if the remake is faithful etc., it won't really play well because of 4's core gameplay. I like Halo 4 but the custom settings are just a atrocity. You cant even defend it.

I found this sketch today. I did a search on halo.bungie.org after the artist but could not find a news entry, so I will post it:

Stephen08 on here lmao
Just so we're clear, it's not really an objective avoiders ranking. It says TrueSkill, but I'm curious about a couple of things:

1) Was TrueSkill a value you could query via the Reach stats API?

2) The servers for the API were retired almost a year ago, so I assume this list is only as up to date as the Bungie.net unplug at the end of March 2012, right?

Campaign spoilers kind of:

On Dawn, after you blow up the Covenant carrier and Requiem opens up, Cortana says "he's using a gravity well to pull us inside the surface".

How in the world does she know it is the Didact, but when we actually release him later on, she's clueless it was him scanning them.

I swear these rumours change weekly.

I can understand the Storm Covenant knowing he's called the Didact, and later on Cortana says "that Didact" because Jul 'Mdama says Didact as they activate the Cryptum, but it seems like a massive plothole that Cortana had no idea it was the Didact scanning them later on, but knew it was him dragging them into the planet.

What is it based on...? look at the 2nd place guy he doesnt look like anything special...

I have better K/D and W/L than most of them...grrr. No respect.

She doesnt look too happy about that question...

Long post, sorry:

Nothing was ever officially announced but it was hinted at. Megalo, the game type editor for Reach seems to point towards some sort of post release patch though. The whole development of Megalo was intended provide post game support for Reach. They tested it with Halo chess and some of the other gametypes that fell under insane category in the gametype list. It seems highly unlikely that they would have spent so much dev time on Megalo to not actually use it. Megalo was developed specifically to make patches like 343's Reach TU possible. With the way the Halo engine worked before Reach changes like zero bloom would not have been possible without directly editing the .map files which was not really something they could have done. So they had developed the tools to patch the game post launch but they never used it which leads me to believe something happened post launch that made them change their plans. The megalo Q&A seemed, to me at least, to be Bungie hinting at their desire to make a TU and the scope that the TU could have encompassed. So while I say they planned a TU I mean they had planned to do one before the game was even released but it looks like something to do with the upcoming transition stopped them from doing so. We can only guess as to what happened but the most plausible answer is that 343 told Bungie to provide playlist support but not patch support so that 343 could patch Reach for the sole purpose of CEA.

-snip-

Edit:

That still doesn't make much sense though. If it was so easy, then why did Bungie ever do it? 6 months isn't a short time. Bungie did promise everyone that they would be supporting Reach as much as the other titles.

Like I said, I would believe that Bungie may have planned a TU if they ever talked about it in any serious way like 343 is now with the TU in February. That never happened though and it was ignored. The lack of support in Reach should be on Bungie's shoulders. 343 released a TU that saved MLG Halo for a limited time, even though it could have been better, it was something.

Also, Bungie released a TU for Halo 2 & 3 a few months post launch. Time is a thing that can't really be ignored on this. If Bungie was just "in talks" about a TU when 343 took over, that's embarrassing in itself.

I just thing most of the blame for the lack of support in Reach needs to go to Bungie, not 343.

For the same reason everyone seems to know the Didact's name.

343: if you didn't read the books, you're a scrub and don't deserve to know lol get better

Or at least that's what the subtitles tell me. A reference to the planet.

Oh right. That load of crap that they tried to sell in the bulletin? I didn't think anyone would actually buy that.

It's so obvious that they overlooked it during development.
