Played some Vita matches with Ratchet. Did pretty decent. Sooo many Raiden's and Kratos lol

From my experience hitting the zombies often makes it harder for Drake to get kills, it messes up the hitbox or something.

Also PSAS is on the SoCal stream right now for those interested, although so far the matches have been pretty underwhelming. Strangely enough Sly hasn't been used yet and the Raidens so far have been pitiful (sorry Clock, but you should have owned that match on Dojo!). Seeing a lot more PaRappa and Toro than I expected though.

I though you were talking about hitting other zombies as a zombie in ffa. :b

Once, I was behind a Drake as he used his level 3, but he didn't shoot me and instead shot someone in front of me.
That gave me time to move, so I just hit him since I was too close to dodge.

Really hate how no one is using grabs and letting Radien and Kratos destroy them.

I love Raiden as I'm a die-hard Metal Gear fan but I won't use him if he is overpowered compared to the other characters. I'll just stick to Jak for now.

Actually I haven't really started yet. I completed Arcade with Jak and then got two levels in with Raiden before my Vita crashed. I'll get back to it but I have so many games to review at the moment.

Play with what you like.

Try out all characters and play with the ones that fit your playing style.

Just bought the game yesterday. Enjoying it quite a lot however I have a stupid question.

Playing through a few games on solo tournament, want to then quit to try something else, "any unsaved progress will be lost" or something along those lines, however I can't find any options to save the game. It's that message just poorly worded and you can't save to return to later, or is the option to save hidden somewhere?

If hes a playable character thats free game as far as im concerned.
I use dante (now kat!!!) because i like his play-style better, but i have no issues with you choosing raiden. Seriously, in a mascot fighter play as your favorite character.

Agreed. I'm really looking forward to Kat. But, there are some other hopefuls I'm still holding out for!

I can just imagine it being characters from 3rd party games like Lightning (Final Fantasy: Lightnings Return), Isaac Clark (Dead Space 3), Prophet (Crysis) and such - that would be a disappointment heh.

Just give me Gabe Logan but that'll never happen. We'll probably get Joel from The Last Of Us someday.

Probably. I'm expecting third parties or new unproven characters I guess.

Ok, so there is one first and one third party.

The first party is from PS2 era and is from a game that another character already in the game is in.

The third party character is PS3 era and is not Sony exclusive.


Also more alternate costumes are in the works!!

My best guess is a Ratchet character, if it is I will be totally underwhelmed. There aren't that many PS2-eras to draw from in the game as it is and most of the others don't have very worthy side characters.

Should've been Lammy. :(

TheMink, I'm not sure if your source is that reliable since it might be just miss or hit guesses. We didn't get Lightning or Ryu yet.

I'm surprised that it's not Abe and Ryu.

Y'know what? Give me Tess from Jak and Daxter. She could be a cool small character while at the same time having a varied arsenal of weaponry to choose from.

Her or Azimuth from A Crack in Time are the only feasible characters from this selection that I'd be okay with.

I would be excited if Altair, Ezio or Connor were added - I actually want one of them in PS All-Stars Battle Royale.

I don't think Tess, I rather Keira. Or else it should be Tess in animal form like Daxter. But I wouldn't be excited for any of those, I'm content with Jak & Daxter. Captain Qwark?

If Mink's source is telling the truth, the PS2 era character is definitely Ares. He's the main antagonist of the upcoming God of War: Ascension, which Sony Santa Monica is developing (easy to include).

EDIT: Hmm, apparently not... nobody else has mentioned him. I'm going with Zeus.
