Excellent. Time for Iwata to drop the bombs before their Q3 results next week :) I dunno, for some reason I actually think there will be some really good stuff. Maybe because it seems like they kind've have to at this point.

Only way this can get me hype enough to buy a Wii U is if they give us a Star Fox game or F-Zero game. Anything else will disappoint.

A new Zelda couldn't hurt either.

"Here we have an upcoming WiiU title, Need For Speed Moste Wanted. But keep in mind, its not the same game, its not the same content" hehe =)

Seriously though, it shall be interesting to see what they will show.

Virtual Console seems an easy option to at least ease the Wii U draught during these months. It's like "Sorry guys, the fantastic games aren't ready yet but we're sitting on this gigantic pile of good old games and why don't we sell it!" kind of stuff.

I'm setting myself for disappointment.

Yeah, I'm dead certain that TVii for several major PAL countries will be one part of the Nintendo Direct. It's the remaining parts that I'm hyped about though.

It'll be the sixth device connected to my telly that can run iPlayer!

(As I've said many a time, though, iPlayer on the Gamepad in another room = major selling point.)

OHH SNAP. The fact that it's going to be only FIRST PARTY NINTENDO SOFTWARE/SERVICES is getting me extremely hyped.

LESSS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

For extra fun:

"We're announcing first party games...

... so presenting Saints Row 4 U, Dawn of War U and Darksiders 3U"

What are the chances of an announcement of Monolith's next game. I know that they recently finished work on Project X Zone (off topic, but I'm super hyped because of yesterday's localisation announcement), but their other team has been working on an unannounced game since Xenoblade was released in 2010. We also saw that image on the computer screen a while ago, which reminded me of BK's pre-rendered map screens, so BK3 maybe? Either way, I think Monolith Soft's next project's announcement is well overdue.

We do not need a hype train for each ND. Come on guys, at this rate, we'll get bored of that before E3... I vote for a hype suburban-train or somehting, maybe a hype tramway instead.

Serious note: Google maps/panorama view, Zen Pinball, Lego for what we know.

Not so serious, for what we don't know: Mario Kart, even if it seems difficult since the 3DS game was released not so long ago, I'm still betting MKU will be here this year.
And don't forget those Kid Icarus HD port and the Yoshi game.

I want Virtual Console, I want it launched tomorrow, and I want (at least in Japan, tho preferably everywhere) Mother 1 to 3 as part of it.

They need a big announcement, but there won't be one. Not expecting any substantial news, as per usual. Feels bad man.

I'd totally be cool with a Nintendo Land expansion pack.

As would I. That would be fantastic actually. Things like new maps for Animal Crossing, and maybe an adventure mode for Zelda where you can actually run around and explore for treasure. *Drool*

Google Maps Wii U & Panorama View will obviously feature (Google Maps was scheduled to launch in January).

Games wise I expecting new trailers of announced titles and maybe another bone or two if we're lucky.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
What they should do:

Show a big, core game to counteract some of the positive press about the new next-generation systems

What they'll probably do:

Show Panorama View or something like Mario Party.

Shenmue 3 would be awesome and would probably get Nintendo the best press. However, the meltdowns from a WiiU exclusive Persona 5 would be unbeatable.

While that's true (and would be hilarious), there's a basic understanding that Persona 5 will come to something at some point. What made Bayonetta 2's announcement so spectacular was the fact that there was a general understanding that it - and in turn, the series - was completely dead.

Iwata: And that was a wonderful 27 minute demonstration of Wii Fit U. Now, before I go I would like to announce Mother HD 1~3 for the Wii U. Launches right now! $6 each!

Bye!
