The studio that did ME3 for Wii U is rumored to be working on the port. Mind you, I'm not liking the direction CD seems to have taken Tomb Raider. Did CD ever follow up on the whole "We'd like to port it to Mac" statement ? You know, just to rub salt into the wound that is Wii U.

ME Trilogy - Not the same game*.
Tomb Raider - The Late Edition
NfS MW - Ithasadifferentfeatureitstillcountsasanewgame Edition

Also some new eShop titles. Would they count Virtual Console releases as new games ? ;-)

*Didn't Bioware say something like "Expect more on Wii U" or something stupid like that ?

no that was a false story on a site. They never said it. some guy just pretended to have a interview with Bioware, it was pretty crazy.

You think one big game would be enough given the enormous amount of negative press and negativity in general surrounding the system ? But yeah, I'd be surprised if this ND doesn't disappoint.

I said "counteract," not "negate."

Wastes hours checking old Famitsu software data, but that's why we love him.
I expect dates for Game & Wario, Wii Fit U, and Pikmin, and hopefully a teaser or two about summer/fall 2013 stuff. Maybe a shock Bayo 2 full reveal?Disappointing that there won't be anything 3rd party stuff.

People expect a new Mario Kart so soon? Seriously?

Yoshi's Land would be amazing, especially if it was a 3D platformer in the style of Mario 64.

Nintendo probably scrapped whatever else they were working on (Sorry F-Zero U!) to quickly pump out an Animal Crossing U after seeing the 3DS sales.

People expect everything from Nintendo in the first 6 months. Even if Nintendo has a Mario, Zelda and Metroid game in one year, they'll want other stuff like F-Zero, Star Fox, Wave Race, etc.

HOOK IT TO MY VEINS

Seriously--with game save cross-compatibility. I want it.

While that's true (and would be hilarious), there's a basic understanding that Persona 5 will come to something at some point. What made Bayonetta 2's announcement so spectacular was the fact that there was a general understanding that it - and in turn, the series - was completely dead.

yeah, Bayo 2 (IMO) actually was an excellent choice as a Wii U exclusive.

Persona 5 just wouldn't make any sense, especially considering the recent sales of P4-Arena and Persona 4: The Golden on Sony platforms, not to mention the game has already (allegedly) been in development for a couple years now.
I wouldn't be surprised at a Wii U release for P5, but no way as an exclusive... and before anyone brings up the FFVII coup of '96, the situations wouldn't be even remotely similar. :p

A WiiU F-Zero, Pilotwings, or SimCity (with that Japanese Nintendo flavor ala the SNES version) might push me towards a WiiU purchase.
A StarTropics resurrection would be amazing, too.

Japanese tweet clarifies it'll be talking about first party games/services for Wii U.

Considering that this Nintendo Direct is already a month late, and that the system arguably needs third-party announcements more than it needs first-party announcements (in Japan, that is - Western third-party support is already obviously beyond all hope)... that doesn't seem like such a good thing.

You know, there is people that would be disappointed not matter what they announce.
If they'll announce one big and interesting brand new first party game for Wii U, I cannot understand who can be disappointed.
It's not the E3, it's not the last Direct of the year, it would not be the only game coming out for the Wii U...it's as Famitsu announce a great game for *inset-what-ever-platform-here* and the reaction is: "So, JUST this? SHIT!"

Mario Kart is one of those games that Nintendo probably starts developing as soon as they start making the system it's for. I say it's very likely Mario Kart U will be out by the Holidays.

Been out of work for two weeks.... Start a new job TOMORROW! I'll be wondering all afternoon at work what is being announced! Still, at least I have a job so I'll be able to afford games.

A Smash trailer featuring Non-Specific Action Figure as a playable character, and featuring Skylanders style action figures using the NFC reader in the gamepad is my prediction.

At this point I'd even be delighted with DLC for Nintendoland though..

Yah I would be really surprised if nothing 3rd party is shown- even something like DQX is usually shown off in these

Did he really say that?

He did talk about it in his last Direct. Not always new games am sure but just new info and stuff.

Yup. If they have sense it should have been done and sitting ready for when they need it out frankly.

Also, this is 9am EST tomorrow, correct?

I would lol hard if "Today we would like to show you (insert game here). *Trailer plays* Look's nice doesn't it? Well its out on store shelves now!"

Probably:

- Release dates for Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, etc.
- Wii U Virtual Console first titles.
- A Bayonetta 2 trailer.
- Soon interaction between Wii U and 3DS.
- A BIG title announce, perhaps some images o logos.

If nintendo direct bombs keep dropping until e3, I wonder how many they'll have left?

Honestly, they'd be better off just leaking out all their stuff because they're not going to "win" E3 this year.

And they need to show some big upcoming games that the fanboys can at least rally around.
