This shit is real?

...my heart can't take this. My lunch break seems to be yielding the most awesome things...

So, like, I need to buy a Wii U now, obviously.

Does this mean SMT characters can now be in Smash Bros?

Just go with Jack Frost. Universal/mascot-appeal enough to represent the entire franchise.

Anyway...I'm still a bit concerned that Sigurd is nowhere to be seen. They better not leave him out...

I bet this comes out on 3DS as well. I bet they announce that later.

It's so weird because, to me, it had handheld game written all over it. Especially when you consider SMT 4 and Fire Emblem Awakening are 3ds titles.

All our faces are gonna be red when the graphics are just upscaled from Fire Emblem Awakening and all the SMT characters were made with the Avatar customization options.

To me a Megaten crossover would make more sense with Pokemon, instead ofthe Nobunaga's Ambition one. Hell the latter would be a better suit for Fire Emblem.

Still an interesting project, curious how it will turn out.

Okay. This is great and all.
But I also need a WiiU Fire Emblem.

That said.. Excite! O___O
I never really got into the Megaten series, but.. if it's Fire Emblem style gameplay with some form of combining/summoning, then sign me up!

This title is making me more interested into guessing what 3rd party characters will make it into smash bros U. Can't wait for this crossover to be released!

I wonder if they'll let it get an M rating. I doubt it.

It's weird, because Fire Emblem at its most "adult" or whatever goes somewhat further than SMT. Or at least in different directions of equal length- SMT has penis monsters, sure, but Fire Emblem has incest.

Neither are for kids, either would be at home with an M rating.

Probably not.

But with that said, the FE series has always been really straight-forward about the concept that your heroes are definitely killing people and it still only manages to get like T ratings. There probably just won't be too much expletives, sexual references (which was more of a Persona thing than anything else), and blood like in the SMT titles.

One of the most unexpected things I heard this week, and we got Pandora's Tower and Project X Zone localization.

Pleasantly surprised at this reveal. Really want to see more. At first I assumed it was a 3DS project, but to have it on WiiU actually blew mind.

Yeah, Fire Emblem has some incest and stuff in it, but it's not as blatant as SMT is with its references to adult/sexual themes.

I think at the most it'll be rated T because they'd probably want to be accessible, at least.

Wtf?

This is unexpected.
Almost every company decided to take/drink the same thing and got some awesome ideas.

Give the same stuff to Square-Enix.

He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.
Need to know what kind of game it is before I can tell you what kind of rating I think it'll get. I'm wondering what it'll be and how demons will be used this game.

Watch, this will be an SMT game with FE characters instead of a tactics game with SMT characters. lolololol

The teaser suggests that it'll have characters from both. Anyway, I really hope it's FE gameplay. Now, I don't know much about SMT, but from taking a quick look, it doesn't seem like they usually handle large amounts of characters. Unless the FE cast gets treated like demons or something...

Anyway...I'm still a bit concerned that Sigurd is nowhere to be seen. They better not leave him out...

I think they didn't include characters from FE2, 4 and 5 in that teaser due to the old-looking artstyle of their original art. If they're including every main lord, I'd expect them to make it too, especially considering how they should be getting US cameos thanks to Awakening.

SMt has a much darker presentation.

I know that- my point is that Fire Emblem is a series that could fit into SMT levels of darkness and tone. It's one of the few Nintendo series that could easily take a turn into being more "adult".

This game will of course being rated T/12, but it wouldn't be that weird if it wasn't.

One of the SMT characters shown in the trailer is dating his surrogate mother. As in, the woman who carried him in her womb until he came to term. SMT is gross as hell.

Lets be fair here: Bayonetta 2 was being developed for the Xbox 360 and PS3, and that's where the fan base for the game was established. So, I think some people had a right to be upset.

Also, I don't know that people saying they'd like to see games avoid exclusivity on certain platforms is exactly a "meltdown".

Bayonetta 2 was not being developed for anything. Nintendo wanted to make it happen so they approached Sega and Platinum.

Honestly I'd be fine with a M rated crossover. I'd love to see a gritty Fire Emblem.

Yes it was. It got cancelled. Kamiya was directing it, and it got cancelled. Nintendo rescued it, but it was being developed before the WiiU.

Exactly, Bayonetta 2 was not going to happen at all unless Nintendo stepped up, and this game definitely wouldn't happen without Nintendo, so in some cases exclusives are simply going to happen.

This will be like a crazy, M rated game that will fool parents hahaha.

Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
Because Atlus has shown no intention of wanting to give up the SMT series like that, there wouldn't be any reason for Nintendo to be involved. I think this approach is the way both Nintendo and Atlus could agree to do this.

I just hope it's an interesting approach.
How is what I suggested "giving up" anything? I don't understand you, most of the time.
