Is it a good idea to give their most succesful handeld IP to their direct rival (IOS/Android)?

What are you talking about? It's the middle of the page!

You 25/50 ppp peasants. *shakes head*

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
What do you guys recommend, Sonic All Stars or MGS HD Collection for Vita? Both seem interesting because I'm assuming Sonic All Stars is like Mario Kart (which I really enjoy) and MGS HD seems a bang for my buck plus I'll probably be getting Rising and my only MGS background is MGS1.

Cross trophies are a plus though.

From the Ys is doomed thread:

It's coming to the vita still. The only people who think the vita is a dead platform are uninformed folks on message boards. The Vita moves quite a bit of software digitally. Ya'll will be surprised by some of the games coming to it this year.
Truth or hot garbage?

Good morning Vitabros, gals and muffins!

I was planning to wait until early next month to get Strangers Wrath, but the news of that sale means I have to get it asap! I'll probably get that and Sine Mora; been eyeing both for a while.

If there are any new members to our community, feel free to add me! My PSN ID is oldyella!

XSeed and Aksys still release PSP games digitally in the west. Hell, Aksys is doing a PHYSICAL PSP release next month.

I don't think they'd do that if they weren't making some money off it. Hell, look at the number of localized Vita games and you'll see that XSeed is the biggest supporter.

Here are the list of Japanese announcements for 2013 (incomplete):

Oboromuramasa HD
Phantasy Star Online 2
Dead or Alive 5 +
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 +
Valhalla Knights 3
Dragon's Crown
Senran Kagura Shinovi
Atelier Meruru Vita
Nayuta no Kiseki

That's still incomplete though, but it's pretty decent and I'm sure there are more to be announced since it's just the first month of 2013. They may be cross platforms or ports but it's good enough for me. So yeah, you can expect more announcement on the horizon, perhaps even surprises.

Hello everyone!
I'm a long-time lurker and finally got the courage to post in this thread. I'm a new VitaSis just looking to join the family. I have to say the Vita is an amazing system that I sadly didn't pay any attention to until the fall when I finally played one. After that I was sold and got one on Black Friday. I'm on the look out for good deals for Dynasty Warriors Next and Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus to add to a collection of games I already don't have time for lol. Really looking forward to those Team Ninja games coming the spring.

My PSN is Neferteetee so please add me!

Welcome, VitaSis!

Just added you. Dynasty Warriors Next is a lot of fun, hope you get your copy soon.

Developers wil release games for any platform they think they'll make money from. In addition, I really don't think that SONY have given up on the system as much as some would like to believe. Considering the lack of marketing that the PS3 got sometimes, is anyone really surprised?

Yes

Really hope History: Legends of War Vita turns out okay. Jonesing for something like on the system. Unless, of course, someone decides to crank out an XCOM-esque game for the Vita.

Would go for another Red Lynx 40k effort like Warhammer 40k: Squad Command.

I do wonder about digital Vita sales numbers. RO has well over a thousand ratings, for example.

Sonic and MGS are both must - buys. Sonic is better than most (all?) iterations of MK. Definitely the best kart racer in a long while.

The whole time I was playing through XCOM I felt like I could really use a game like that on Vita. Touch controls for selecting tiles would even be acceptable!

Welcome, new VitaMuffin!

Thanks, but I actually read the thread before the "global" thread had to close lol (the one previous to the Game n' service)

And the rating thing is rather unreliable (there might be 4000 ratings on "Generic_Game_1234" but 80000 more players bought it and we don't know)

Don't forget that RO got a physical release, so there's people who bought it who can't rate it even if they wanted to.

Persona 5 vita exclusive.
Uncharted 4 vita exclusive
Sony buys Pokemon, x+y now vita games

And they'll still be using awful battle backgrounds and overworld movement will still be restricted to 4 directions.

Yeah, it's a Vita game (as well as console and PC)! I was initially confused, but the Slitherine forums put me right. A little bit worried by the lack of any details, but Slitherine don't tend to do a very good job in that regard.

Fingers crossed.

Heh lol no - Sega strategy guys are Creative Assembly and now Relic - it will be suprising if they make any console version.

Creative Assembly...well...their Brisbane studio certainly shat the bed in terms of making console strategy games in the future. We can dream, though.

There's a demo for Sonic. Try it, I wasn't feeling it which is weird because I felt the demo for the first outing of that kart racer series.

MGS HD was on sale last month for $17 if you subscribe to Playstation Rental Service. If you didn't get it then, I guess getting it for $20-40 now isn't bad?

Hey guys, apologies for asking a question that I am sure has been asked a thousand times, but wasn't there a list of Vita-having GAF member's PSN IDs alongside the games they own/play?

I am sure I saw one floating about in my pre-GAF approved days. I ask because my friends list is severely lacking in Vitapeeps so I may go on something of an adding spree :) Neferteetee and yella you shall have the dubious honour of being my first(s)...

My PSN is countinhallways :D

Even with the new PSN web store, I still can't download Peace Walker or its demo onto my vita (I don't have a PS3). WTF.

I don't see why the webstore would make a difference to that...

*downloads Peace Walker straight onto Vita in Europe* ;)

Well, I previously didn't have access to any store that would let me buy it. Now I do, but I still can't DL it from my download history.

Apparently Konami is continuing to support the Vita with their annual Pro Yakyuu Sprirts Japanese baseball games. Comes out on March 20th.

I've got Pro Spirits 2012, and it's seriously the best sports game on the Vita, no question. If you can put up with Japanese menus, it's a perfect PS3 port with a great batting/pitching system.

Do we know if there's any difference between P4G release in EU and US? Didn't manage to import the game in time so I will wait for the EU release.

You might have a separate online user base for the network stuff (querying what to do, calling SOS) but I can't imagine anything else being significantly different.

So do i. Some games on there have quite a lot of ratings (and, as we know, the proportion of people that buy a game then actually rate it is usually really low). Guess we'll never find out most of the digital sales though :(

whew just did the first level of gravity rush. what a...rush?

anyways RedNumberFive contacted me and said his ban will end soon and he'll be back in 6 days! woo! getting our vitabros back one at a time!

welcome back Carl too!

You might want to look into Mecho Wars, it's a well received turn based strategy game on PlayStation Minis that was pretty well recieved. Also Rainbow Moon is also coming to the Vita soon, if you fancy something a bit more fantasy SRPG-ish.

History: Legends of War is a Vita game that is happening? I thought it was just a PSP game?
It was, though they've ported it to the PS3 and 360, and supposedly a Vita version is coming.

How does it work? Does the Vita need to be new? US models only?
You just have to enter someone's referral code or get someone else to enter your referral code on the referral website posted a page or two back. Both of you should receive a $20 PSN card/code in 4-6 weeks. The Vita doesn't have to be new. I'm not sure if you can only use US models, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

For some reason it won't accept my PSN ID. I think I will give it a go.

Reading through the thread at CAG, it seems that only people who received the original email can actually register a new referral account. You should still be able to enter another person's referral code though. If you want to try it, you can always PM me. ;)

40 minutes to download this shitty firmware?

PSN is just the worst service ever invented.

It started really slow for me so I stopped it and went back again later it was quick.

Alrighty, I'll wait for the email then I'll PM you!
