BL2's "Tiny Tina" is racist - says a couple white guys.

Without white guys who spend all day on the Internet to tell us what's racist or misogynist, where would we be?

It's sad how everyone's been riding the PC dick lately. Oh well, life goes on. Some of the shit she says is funny.

Isn't Tiny Tina literally based on the writer dude's sister, who's the star of those internet videos, who is probably only acting in a slightly exaggerated version of her normal behavior?

These are the same type of guys that, when I tell an innocent racism joke to one of my black friends, they're in the corner going "Woah dude, you shouldn't say that! He's black! Not cool dude, not funny," while my black friend is laughing their ass off.

I hate these kinds of people. As though they think black people can't fend for themselves.

Yeah, I'm not saying a white guy can't say something is racist unless their race is referenced by the action in question, but uh...

They really don't have any place making this claim.

For the record, I loved Tiny Tina. Thought she was hilarious and the voiceover work for her really brought her to life.

Tiny Tina is hilariously not funny at all. I wouldn't consider her racist as plenty of people from many races act the way she is.

Can black people not even get to decide what's racist against us for ourselves anymore? Now we have to let white folks decide for us?

This is so uncomfortable to me. People literally "White Knighting" for the black community. It almost seems a bit racist in and of itself.

First they came for Dead or Alive's T&A,
and I didn't speak out because I didn't play that series.

Then they came for Lara Croft,
and I didn't speak out because I didn't play that series.

Then they came for Bayonetta,
and I didn't speak out because I didn't play that series.

Then they came for Borderlands 2,
and there was no one left to speak for me.

Some of her lines are reminiscent of the "white teen doing a black thug impression" thing. It's racist, yes, and played the fuck out anyways.

Edit : I still mostly like her character, but I can't ignore the problematic stuff.

Yeah I don't like Tiny Tina because she was irritating and extremely unfunny. I didn't think for one second she was racist. I still don't think she's racist she was just annoying and not funny.

Besides about her talking "black" aren't there white people that actually talk like that and are those people just saying that only black people talk that way. Aren't they the one being racist by associating that stereotypical way of talking with only black people.

This dude said she's "verbal blackface".

Shut the fuck up immediately. Try hard ass pseudo-intellectuals.

I'll take those kind of people over the Post Racial America folks.

This thread is funny. You either get posts that says she's terrible, or posts that says she's awesome.

Todays views on racism are outright hilarious.
Tiny Tina is not racist in anyway.
I find the thread title a bit offensive though. White males shouldnt be able to call out racism?

Some people are really, really fucking stupid. Holy shit. I actually can't believe I read that.

So a small white girl saying "black lingo" is racist? I need to go back and re-read that article because something this stupid can't be real and it's just Kotaku making shit up again to piss me off.

Its exaggerated stereotypical low class "black" lingo that with Tina amounts to verbal blackface.

I think this guy is the racist one for perpetuating that "low class lingo" is "stereotypically black."

Which is exactly what Anthony Burch says always happens. I haven't played the game yet, but watched part of the video kotaku linked and thought she was pretty funny.

Heh, I found it to be stupid/annoying but it's not racist at all.

That's modern slang. There's (young) people of various races that talk like that.
