This tree has seen horrors

*Edit. I can hardly believe that I messed that sentence up. I read it so many times. "Had a bear use you it itch its balls" is probably funnier, anyhow.

It is very, very possible. Or, their 1st game is dropping in the next 8-12 months and are beginning design work on a second project.

Well, it's not like Disaster: Day of Crisis and Xenoblade came out at the same year as when they were announced.

It's too early to tell if these trees are voyeurs or rape trees.

Well, to my understanding Xenoblade was announced at E3 2009 and was released in Japan in the summer of 2010; so just over a year. I think I remember hearing that the game was delayed at some point. Anyway, a Japanese release for X at the end of 2013 is quite possible, but I would say early 2014 is more likely.

Yeah, it could happen, but I'm just not expecting "X" out this year even for Japan. At least Monolith Soft seems to had a good amount of time to conceptualize it.

Baten Kaitos Origins was their first game published by Nintendo so wouldn't that be post-nintendo?

Mid 2007, to be exact. It seems that Nintendo has left Monolith Soft to their own devices (hasn't forced them to work on Mario IPs or something like that)...extremely rare for a Nintendo acquisition.

They did help with Skyward Sword and New Leaf, wonder which team did those?

MagiusNecros

Gilgamesh Fan Annoyance
Golden Sun 4?(It's most likely an original title though)

I dunno, I get Kolima forest vibes out of the concept art.

But it looks Wizard of Oz-like to me.

I request a translation of the Japanese text.

They are doing a 3DS game too? I thought they would be uber busy with X for Wii U. Hope we don't have to operation rainfall this.

It's hard to say...it seems like a bunch of Monolith's members from all their teams were farmed out to help work on Skyward Sword.

I never really appreciated the sheer amount of work that Monolith really put into the game. They had 45 PEOPLE helping out NCL.

Recently in the MS blog was a photo of Honne with plasticine model of Sedna from Baten Kaitos.

Why does he keep it? Or maybe it's a new model? ;)

Death Prophet
Is it bad that I'm super excited for this game on the concept art alone
and because Monolith Soft is fucking awesome
?

I'd completely forgotten that Monolith was developing a 3DS game. Not sure what to think of the concept art, but after Xenoblade I'm pretty much down for anything they put out now.

It looks kinda crappy for Honne. I wonder what it is.

Is it Honne? His signature isn't on it, and it doesn't really look like his usual art.

Anyway, this looks related to this Honne art from a year or so ago:

Must have been the prototype they ended up going with.

Now that looked like BK at first glance.

But I'm all for a new IP that has the lovely art of the series, I want a more tradition RPG, I want turn-based action again, Xenoblade wasn't REALLY turn-based, you couldn't wait, if you did nada, you got socked.

What if this game is about girls who have some creepy guardian Pokemon with them?
