Put the two teasing images together:

It's basically the bell we can see in the website's background carved in a trunk.

It appears to be a white or silver birch tree but I don't know how much that matters.

Detectives aren’t supposed to get bloody knuckles, but I’ve done a lot of things I wasn’t supposed to do. I lived through it all, the beat-downs, the back-stabbing, disrespect most people wouldn’t see in ten lifetimes and I never lost a fight… until now

I enjoy murder mysteries. Especially those... of my own death! DUN DUN DUUUN
The Clue and Discworld Noir did it first.

I hope there's also a PC/Durango/Orbis version planned, hard to get excited for last gen games now.

I like this teaser theme. They could really be creative with this. Starting from Monday, they should update the site daily to include another S-E franchise which has been "murdered" - with the name of the IP appearing crossed out on a notepad list. I'm sure fans would love the teaser campaign!

ohww, murder mystery sounds a lot more fun then there games already, would I have to pay dlc for each clue?

Kind of over the neo-noire setting, especially after Zodiac and LA Noire, and maybe Heavy Rain. But if they do something interesting I'm down.
I'm guessing it's a Hitman spinoff...
Didn't they mention Hitman going to an annual franchise with two studios alternating?

I'm a Wii U owner that isn't crying because I wasn't silly enough to buy a WiiU expecting to play multiplatform releases, especially after the Wii. Cmon.
Wiith Wii it meant a serious down port or an alternative version like with the Call of Duty games. GameCube at least got third party support.

Are we sure this isn't a detective game detailing how GAF members find out about video game details? ;)

All of these details are pretty crazy though. And of what I played of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, I liked, so I might keep an eye on this, the concept (or at least what I'm most easily assuming is) seems really cool to me so far. And a next-gen game will be nice too!

Starring a ghost? I doubt it. Anyway, police procedural and supernatural stuff don't really work together.

Henning Mankell has a lot of supernatural elements in his books, yet pulls off the police procedural quite remarkably. It can be done, However, how it integrates with the overall plot, that is the main thing to be controlled.

As long as the supernatural element behaves consistently and is bound by its own set of rules, it can only be an enhancement. Unfortunately people don't like putting bounds on supernatural elements and prefer it go hog wild.

Remember when in Heavy Rain that guy who had his son kidnapped blacked out for no reason and woke up with a piece of origami in his hand and it was never explained?

As long as they don't do stupid shit like that it will be fine.

It sounds like this might be something interesting, but it all will depend on the gameplay. I am liking the premise so far.
