I'm a little worried, but it will probably be fine.

I actually just downloaded PS Home for the first time (have had a PS3 since year one), just so I could have another option in case some streams mess up. I guess you never know, but like I said I bet it will be fine, if not, be ready to swittch streams at a moment's notice.

It is a bit depressing that there are that many people in that thread just seemingly trying to kill the hype for this event.

However, there isn't a whole lot you can do aside from avoiding those types of threads and rumor articles.

Agreed. I could see locking apps, but not charging for MP. Sony constantly likes to play the "we've got the backs of the hardcore gamer" angle, I doubt they risk that image just to charge for MP. Apps and services sure, but MP will stay free. I'm guessing any pay for MP rumor comes from people hearing that Sony will charge for online, without knowing if Sony is differentiating online between their services and MP.

Truth! It's less than a day and I'm hyped! PS4 is coming! Things will be shown, not all but some.

Last Guardian will arrive one day! Say yes to the next awesome exclusives! Yes! PS Plus is the best service this gen and Sony had a good History with the brand. Like Tretton said last year E3 (was it last year?):

"Gamers want games."

And I could not agree more, it's why I like the work they have done, even supporting the PS2 when PS3 came out. And what amazing Library they built with the PS2. I hope for a great Ps4 era.

No wars for me. It's all about games and gaming for me. And my fellow GAFfers of course!

Funny thing is financially its not an issue for me at all, but would kill my nephews .

But the problem is its competitor (MS) already charges for that feature, so it's not like something out of the world.

bottom line to me is all about games and I hope they rock it and show a beautiful design console for gamers

No. There are other ways to go about getting my money and there are trade-offs. I've made posts about what I think Sony should do with PSN going back probably a year at this point: Free basics (online MP, FL, demos) and if you want to charge for everything else under the umbrella of a quality service like PS+ -- fine. No amount of hype is going to aid me in rationalizing an anti-consumer decision just so i can feel good about going into the store and picking up the box. Fuck that noise. I'm hoping Sony understands this.

Watch the PlayStation Blog tomorrow afternoon for details on if they're streaming it in Home or not. They usually stream the big Sony conferences in Home.

Early on a customer had to not only pay the $50 online subscription, but they had to buy a $100 Wifi adapter too! It just kills me that MS got away with that.
