More Neptunia anime designs:
zazza345 @ NIS forums said:
Nepgear (CV: Yui Horie)

Neptune's little sister, the Goddess candidate of Planeptune. A reliable, honest person and a honor student who is the complete opposite of her older sister. There are a lot of people following her sister, but since she's the one that loves her sister more than anyone else, she believes she is rather happy.

Uni (CV: Eri Kitamura)

Noire's younger sister, and Lastation's Goddess candidate. She works hard every day to be recognized by her sister as her right-hand woman, although she worries that she isn't praised enough. She's best friends with Nepgear, and unintentionally she ends up showing the stubborn behavior of a tsundere exactly like her big sister.

Rom (CV: Yui Ogura)

Blanc's little sister, and Lowee's Goddess candidate. With a shy and quiet personality, she often lets her twin sister Ram talk for her. Feeling lonely due to Blanc being very busy with work, she ends up demanding attention along with Ram.

Ram (Cv: Kaori Ishihara)

Blanc's little sister, and Lowee's Goddess candidate. By contrast with her twin sister Rom, her personality can be considered much more active. She constantly leads Rom, so when a prank happens, it's often Ram who has started it. Her curiosity and energy are the biggest worries for Blanc.
Glad to see the candidates confirmed, I was worried it'd just be a retelling of the 1st game's story. With the 4 CPUs and no Plutia (yet) it's looking decidedly mk2'ish. Arfoire / Magiquone will doubtlessly be the big bad. Now all we need are some Makers:

A nice article, as always from Ben. Another good article that takes many information from several different sources is the one made more recently by Washi:

Anime Production – Detailed Guide to How Anime is Made and the Talent Behind it! | Washi's Blog
http://washiblog.wordpress.com/2011...o-how-anime-is-made-and-the-talent-behind-it/

As Articalys said the premiere in theaters is on March, 2nd... I just hope that, like in the previous editions, they don't take much time to show them on TV... or maybe even on their niconico channel (http://ch.nicovideo.jp/animemirai)!

Yep, lack of time and missing milestones always seems to be their worst enemy!

Mr. Regulus, I don't have the translated guidelines for the most recent edition of the initiative (http://janica.jp/events/h24wakate/h24project.pdf), but this translation of the basis for the first one should give you a clearer idea:

Maybe pachinko success can revive old franchises too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwPxHNfGSwg :(
And even revive old legends; Hideki Tamura worked on it!

Or at least studios that aren't KyoAni or wherever Oshii is working.
That is true, but right now it doesn't matters... as thankfully, the same rules of the Japanese animation industry can't apply to exploiting Canadian staff working on live-action films. Lets hope for the best of Mr. Oshii's "long-dreamed" Garm Wars project!

I know there's a season's break in-between, but going from JoJo to Neptunia for David Production is probably one of the most hilarious work genre shifts I've seen.

Isnt JoJo Backfunded by Warner Brothers Japan? so of course they could afford the genre shift.

Okay so this bit from the article /XX/ posted caught my attention:
1) Six months to three years of keyframe (genga) work experience and also thirty years of age or under at the time of the application deadline. The company must also have an expectation that the animator will benefit from the training.
2) An animator 27 years of age or under with fewer than six months of keyframe work experience but an individual who the project’s animation director who will oversee him/her strongly wishes to receive training.1
When I first heard "young animator project" I imagined it was referring to training people straight out of college or whatevs. Just how long are animators in general slaved into doing all the time-consuming boring stuff before getting to the genga?

So I just started watching this Kaibutsu anime as ordered.

And since I'm not fluent in Japanese I just want to ask...

DID HE REALLY JUST SAY THIS SHIT?

Im going by american standards, but it would take 3 to 5 years between from keyframing to the main parts.

Yes, he did. Hes a total social clusterfuck and thats why its called "my little monster". the dude is a basketcase that needs to be brought under control.
Also that exact question was discussed at length here because it drew the same reaction from everyone. But dont worry, its not that kind of show.

Caught up on the Magi manga and it just made me sad that all these amazing events will look like crap when they get adapted into anime.

So, is Ninami or whatever a character in the manga? Cause it seems like Daikichi is pretty sweet on her right now, but in the manga it doesn't happen cause...well, you know what happens there. But seriously, who the fuck divorced this woman? What kind of jaded, miserable fuck does he have to be to do that?

and that's exacty why , everyone here is disapointed by the magi anime.

Imagine a badly animated war .. i'd rather not have a war at all.

I think the Magi production just ran into some serious budget and deadline snags.
It started out pretty good. The bad shit has happened recently.

I cheated before watching this episode by looking at reports on Twitter that said the direction was godlike.
They were incredibly accurate.
The entire scene in the gym
was fantastic, not to mention everything else.

About the definition that they make of those "training" and "young" parts, and how those apply to this project; duckroll and hosannainexcelsis talked a little about it giving a nice glimpse on what recycling or similar situations they could be wanting to tackle for some of the more veteran trainees (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=44443537#post44443537).

Weird. The episode felt really jumpy to me. Like, characters poofing around and background elements not being set up as well as they should have.
