wonder how long it will take to realize blue side spawning with gauss hog is a tad unfair on exile...

Exile would be good if it was symmetrical. Both bases should be like blue. I think they would work best with objective gametypes, which also need adding.

How anyone can put AC3 above all the other games in the series is beyond me. It's literally the Halo 4 of the Assassin's Creed series, albeit they made even worse decisions and beyond the crap on top, there isn't a good game underneath. Between the incredibly linear, timed missions, a four hour intro with a character that's more interesting than Connor, the over simplified controls and a story that is a mix of 'how fucking boring' and 'what the fuck were they thinking' and you've easily got the Worst Assassin's Creed gam ever created. Lets not even talk about things that aren't even explained to the player (crafting, trading anyone?) and the glitchy mess that was the game upon release.

Bit of a rant, but that was 2012's biggest disappointment and a lot of people agree.

Nah, it's just how some of us reacted to it.

I didn't encounter any glitches and most of the missions weren't a problem (even the infamous Lee chase which I ended up 100% my 4th go). I liked Haytham, but I liked Connor more. You see where he comes from in his convictions, whether you agree or not. The historical story was great here. The modern stuff was okay, but I had fun with Desmond's stuff, even the Abstergo mission.

My high school's One Act Play Competition. We're doing Led Me A Tenor by Ken Ludwig

Cool, are you putting on blackface? =P

I will say, though, the ending was bad. Not Mass Effect 3 bad, but bad nonetheless. But there's my opinion on it. I'm excited for AC4, but I am going to miss Connor.

i fucking love exile. lots of really good choke points. the only bad thing is that one team spawns with a super over powered vehicle and a tank spawns semi- neutral. remove both and the map would be loads better.

Yes, I am, I play Tito Merelli. I had to learn Italian Opera and an Italian accent. (As many of you know, I'm a bit of an accent/impersonation freak, but Italian was freakin' difficult for me.)

This has literally nothing to do with Halo, but is your school's drama department good? Just kinda wondering.
We are very good :) We advance to region a lot and we have a very talent pool of actors in this shitty little town. Our only problem is that our Theatre teacher is obsessed with plays that take place in the 30's and we've had almost every judge our region has to offer so they're getting a little bored of it, you know?

In my experience there have only been like 3 times that a team has been able to take advantage of this because so many people are a little noob.

Also, getting to the tank first and then having your own team grenade it happens more.
Always wondered why they didn't try to make the gauss hog work more like a railgun or splaser; than like a mini-tank.
I wouldn't be surprised if they did initially, but then found a fraction of gamers not liking the "charge time" dynamic and so just ignoring them.

Just another HaloGAF Radio reminder. If you guys could leave all feedback and comments in that thread, that would be great. Thanks

So I was going through the User settings and I clicked mark all forums as read, now all the threads in all forums show up as unread even if I've read them. Is this normal?

edit: i clicked it again, it's fixed.

Got the turret kill achievement, it was super easy in BTB on Shatter. The Mantis stop is a bit harder. Got a few each round, but I'm only at like 6.

Still not sure how I'm going to get the warthog one. I'll have to just jump in the gunner every time there's a hog on the Crimson maps.

Yeah, I need to get those two. There's a glitch if you throw a sticky in one of the base lifts on Shatter and you manage to stick someone with it, you get the Warthog achievement, but I haven't been able to do it... Mostly because Crimson maps never come up for me :

I'd be up for running a team of 8 in BTB at some point. We'd all need DLC and have to vote shatter when it comes up.

Thanks to some feedback from thezerofire and some advice from Nokyard on how to fix it, I have updated Dread. I changed the back portions of the courtyards to have a 15 degree incline to allow more jumps between the corners and the courtyards. It's still a challenge, but a crouch jump should get it nearly every time.

Image taken from Nokyard, since I'm too lazy to go into Theatre and show it.

I enjoyed your map quite a bit and do hope it makes it into matchmaking.

I've been posting all night trying to find people to do these with.

And sorry Barrow Roll, I got kicked out of that game for some reason the. Had to restart my Xbox.

ACII>ACIII>ACB>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ACI>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ACR

III was awesome.

Eh. The game is moving away from actually assassinating people and interesting plot twists... and I don't know about you, but that's why I bought the damn game. Not to mention that ever since ACIII was announced I've held the opinion that the series should be taken back at least 300 years. I'm sick of all the gun crap and the boring environments. Why not set one in China? France?

I think they (Hutchinson) said that China would be boring. But I do share the opinion that France would be awesome to see done in AC. As for assassinations and interesting plot points, we lost those in Brotherhood for sure. Even the ending in that game wasn't really explained until the DLC of ACR.

You can't be upset about that! Being a pirate is awesome if done right!

AC3 bored me to death. I stopped playing it when you got to the part where
you had to free the slaves and one cage was on the boat. I think this is the first mission of this type.

Is it just my iPad or have the last three people to post triple posted?
Your iPad switched from 3G to wi-fi or vice versa.

Thanks. I apologize a bit beforehand, but I'm gonna be a little bit blunt on your map. It really feels like a lot of my early maps. I'd design a single area to have a single function and I'd design another area to have a different function. Then I'd try and connect those two areas together. I'd make a few more and try to tie them all together. It usually ended up having those areas being campy and having everyone rush to those areas. Generally speaking, they tended to be very vertical.

You also used a lot of preset building pieces. Since the old days, I've done all of my designs in either SketchUp or pencil and paper to avoid using those types of pieces. I'll use a few here and there, but you'll find that your designs go a lot further when you aren't constrained to certain preset geometry.

For the weapons, you generally want to not spawn at the sniping perches. The same principle applies to CQC weapons like the Hammer and Sword and not spawning them inside rooms. You also don't want to have too many player spawns close to those weapon spawns as well.

Oh that's a very clean fix. Nice.

Also, lemme know if you guys would be interested in submitting clips for a HaloGAF Top 10 Plays of the Month. Submissions would be pretty loose. Meaning, you don't have to get Overkill exterminations in hopes of making it on the list. They can be crazy, funny, skillful, whacky or whatever.
