Also I am taking a hiatus from posting this thread. It's a Halo community thread, but it's also one of the most negative places on gaf outside of the NBA thread and it's pretty difficult to have a conversation or even see a meaningful one happen with the troll hobbyists. I will continue to pay attention to criticism and ideas, but it's more and more counterproductive to be in here for the moment. There are a few people in here who would be banned anywhere else on gaf and a few people who I have to even wonder what they're doing in here.
I said 'cheating' has never been higher than there was in Reach and 4... Where did I say Halo 2 did not have cheating?
If 11.6 million people have played Halo 4, that's already almost double the amount of people that played Halo 2.

Yeah, I wanted to use it to make a gametype and map but didn't want to risk of getting file share banned.

I'm pretty surprised they didn't at least give hints to what their initial rebalancing plans are. Figured that would be the big ticket news.
Forge Island seems neat, hopefully it has an expanded "Natural" category with hills and stuff and not just rocks with more rocks and also P.S. rocks for the water.
I'm not certain there's any interest over there in changing anything about CTF at this point, which is kind of disappointing since it's just not what it used to be.

Descoping needs to be a thing on at least some of those weapons. Like, say, a one-shot-in-the-toe-kills-anything sniper rifle. But who would be crazy enough to create such a weapon in the first place? It could never happen.

OR, they missed a golden opportunity to address quitters. If you quit a game, put a big red fucking crybaby face on their rank card for the next 10 games, and drop their rank by 1.
I haven't seen a single thing anyone has said in here that would qualify for a ban, wtf?
Old school Halo fans are just tired of disappointment after disappointment. It's not easy to sit and watch your favorite franchise go down the drain.
No amount of free forge maps is gonna change that.

This is one of the cruelest places I've seen on a game topic, and I've had raged inside my head multiple times from what I see on here. Whether you like the decisions they've made or not.

I've never had a credible conversation with you about this contentious CSR implementation. Stubbornness works both ways, and I genuinely want to know why sacrificing the fans for the chaff, and the game experience, is worth it to rid the minority of poisonous boosters that inevitably appear.

Not if we are talking about rates. Incidences of cheating/number of games played or something like that. You have dodged the question so I will go ahead and explain it. Halo 2 was incredibly bad for cheating. Not just people going AFK or whatever but people doing things that shouldn't have even been possible. I remember a match starting and having my entire team drop from the top of the map and get sniped. At the start of a match.
I don't know if that guy does harass you or not but you are definitely incorrect about this.

Don't buy it, the most cynical people in here are some of the biggest Halo fans around. We've been shit on since Reach, and it doesn't look like it's going to get any better.
And Havok, I take back what I said, de-scoping a sniper should have been one of the first things patched a week after release. So stupid how easy it is to snipe & how completely defenseless you are even when shooting them.

Thanks, if you wanna come back to a positive thread I suggest making better decisions regarding your game. Think less business-y and more about your fans. Were really disappointed in this product. Its just not as fun as older Halo's and the negative is partly because 343 continues to make decisions opposite of what we want.

Huuh? GAF is pretty strict with bannings, most other forums handle it waaay worse.
But can you explain me or will there be a proper explanation given how CSR should work with guests, JIP and no quit penalty? I don't see this stuff working with CSR

It's not about business decisions. It is no secret that a quality product will sell well. It is possible for them to make a robust, feature laden, traditional Halo game and have it sell well.
