Have specific characters been confirmed to have alternate character skins yet? If yes, has it been mentioned if the alternate character skins will have differing move sets? I couldn't find answers to these questions, apart from confirmation of alternate character skins themselves. I can see John Stewart, Guy Gardner, Kyle Rayner, Simon Baz, etc, as Hal Jordan alternates. I'd love to see this happen honestly, even if the movesets were the same. Cheetah as an alternate Catwoman? Merlyn/Green Arrow? Reverse Flash/Flash? What alternate characters do you consider viable options?

I'm 99% certain they won't have different move sets (they're alternate skins, not separate characters). They will, however, have unique voices, intro animations, and victory animations.

All we know so far is that there will be alternate character skins. They will have different voice acting and can have (some may some may not) different intros and win poses. We do not yet know if they will have different hitboxes, move properties, etc.

None specifically have been announced yet either apart from TV show Green Arrow which features Stephen Amell's voice, the actor from the TV show.

That's all I wanted to see. I have no issue with them reusing movesets, as I understood the distinction between skins and unique characters. I'd love to see Cheetah/Catwoman though, with a slight variation in her moveset. Using her tail in place of a whip, or removing her whip moves completely.

I noticed Gamestop has Adam West and Micheal Keaton figures for pre-order later this year. Maybe it's for the new Batman game or this? Usually Gamestop has figures for current games.

Owlman -- Roy Raymond or Thomas Wayne would make a great Bats alt. Probably won't happen, but it's another cool option.

My only alternate costume request is to have the most iconic outfit available for each character -- the MK vs. DCU approach, I guess. I want the classic red underwear Superman, hoodless Shazam, plain spandex Flash, et cetera.

Agreed. I really want "Classic" costumes for everyone. Also would like to see a silver age flash costume (Jay Garrick).

Batman seems similar to KL in the sense that he seems to have most bases covered and people are probably going to bitch about him a ton once the game drops.

Nah the MK community is shit on pretty constantly. Mostly by people who don't matter though. Most of the people with actual power want to see the MK scene blow up.

Though I don't agree with the words he used, Champ is right. I don't know that I would necessarily put Marvel in the same category, but if the top players from Street Fighter or even Tekken were to put in the effort with Injustice that they put in with those other games, then the top MK guys would 100% be the underdogs.

Sorry but I have to agree with TDLink. The design of MK holds it back with it being ultra violent. However I have high hopes for this game. :)

I didn't realize they were going that far with the alternate character skins. I'd love a Smallville Supes/Clark. It could be decent for promotion for the comic that is running.

I would just not do a FAQ. All of those answers should be evident from the rest of the OT anyways.

Leave all those questions out. This is not MK. It is its own game. I think you only help raise the question to folks if you glorify the MK comparisons by doing a QA section on them.

Cover
  • controls (mention input options for stick users and emphasize it is hold back to block)
  • system mechanics for meter uses
  • cover characters
  • cover character gimmick abilities
  • Cover modes and name drop the SIZE of the modes when doing so. Mentioning the various versions of Arcade mode (all villain, only heroes, poison, etc) is also really good.
  • cover alts if possible
  • cover stages
  • character icons
  • cover unlockables and exp
  • Cover training mode and allllll its many features
  • Briefly name drop some top players confirmed for it
  • google doc link for users to list their psn or 360 gamer tags for matchups


Cover that and folks will not make the comparison nor can they dignify such comparisons without being mocked for not reading. Feel free to mention we have 100% confirmation on alternate character coming as alt outfits to make Green Lantern fans happy and feel free to mention DLC and season pass stuff as well.

I'm real sad about the wii u version seemingly being sent to die but I can kind of understand why

I cancelled my collector's edition after thinking about it but I'm getting it day 1 for ps3 an I'm excited

Ever since the alt character costume thing was confirmed my hopes have gotten high. I would love to see stuff like this.

How? It isn't getting the pre-order stuff but it will still end up getting it all later as DLC. The full game is the same on Wii U as the other systems except it also has off-TV play.

The season pass was confirmed for just the ps3 and 360 versions right?

And yeah the preorder stuff, but also it didnt even get an option for the CE, the battle arena "get a free skin!" for arrow is only 360 or ps3 also, and it feels like a "oh yeah we started on this before we knew the situation the wii u was going to be in and its too late to turn back"

It's little things, and it's probably just a perception thing and i'm reading too much into it but IDK MAN

EDIT: and if the flashpoint skins are just for the season pass, is the wii u going to get them for free or will I have to buy them on top of the non discounted DLC characters?

Actually, they have said the Wii U will get all the dlc the other versions get but they haven't yet said how or when they are handling distributing it all on that system. It would be a good question to ask. Maybe someone should tweet Ed Boon, Hector, or the official Injustice account to figure it out? I'd do it if I had a twitter account, but I don't.

I've actually asked Boon about the Wii U version on twitter a couple of times, but he has never responded.

Late to the "Characters I'm interested in party," but once I get my hands on the game (which won't be for a while, finances dictate sadly), there are quite a few -

Cyborg, Flash, Harley Quinn, Shazam, and Superman at first, at least. I've only ever casually played fighting games - never been able to invest the time to really get good at them. Maybe this'll be the one!

I preordered it today at gamestop kinda suprised that the 99.99 colelctors edition is sold out already but not the Fightstick edition. Guess people dont want PDP Fightsticks.

I absolutely canNOT wait for this game to come out.

That said, there's something about the character animations that just seem so archaic. The MK9 engine was so polished and it blended both speed and fluid animation so well that this game seems to pale in comparison. The characters' movements just don't seem very realistic at all, and it's especially evident with characters wearing capes.

I'm trying to not notice that too much and take the game for what it is, but I can't help wishing that it looked more polished than it does.
