IF its anything like WB's other games, they probably will.
Boon said Green Lantern has a New52 alt, and you can fight New 52 Nightwing and SHazam in the Star Labs mode, and those costumes don't come with the collectors edition, so there will probably be a big New52 bundle you can buy down the line or something.

I chose Black Canary (could use more female characters in this game), Booster Gold (I love this DC superhero!), Lobo (this bastich is my all-time favorite comic character), and Plastic Man (it'd be fun to have a good poking keep-away character, ala Dhalsim, in the roster).This is just for fun...

Well Batman is pretty lame, so its fitting.
Also thank god Flash has a new52 outfit, I don't mind most of NRS's designs, in fact I like some of them a lot, but both of their designs for Flash were just terrible.

So far we have seen 3. Ripping open the shirt to reveal the emblem is his default one. Red Son costume has that too. Dictator Superman has the one with the random soldiers saying he'll take care of this. Now New 52 Superman has him flying from the Fortress of Solitude.

For a second at the start of the match, I was thinking, wow - what if Batman doesn't even land a punch on the Flash. And what if they follow that up with some text on the screen - Seriously, it's the Flash. Vs. a dude in a suit with a toolbelt.
Alas, not to be.
I'm genuinely surprised Power Girl is doing so well in my poll. Is she really that popular? I'd hate to see one of the four DLC slots wasted on a Superman "clone," especially given that Martian Manhunter is essentially a Superman-esque character, too (super strength, flight, heat vision, and vortex breath).

Power Girl is such a great character. I would not be at all opposed to her being the "Ken" to Superman's "Ryu."

I think it's just the hair that's dangling a bit over his forehead that gives him a slightly different look there.

So have we decided whether the graphics/animation in this game are fantastic or terrible?
I really don't see anything wrong with the animation, and this is coming from a diehard Capcom fighting game fan who's never been into Mortal Kombat. People need to stop acting like this looks like the janky PS2-era MK games, because it definitely doesn't.

All 4 of these alts are New 52 skins I believe. I am fairly certain at this point that every character will have their New 52 look.
This will definitely be my Flash costume of choice whenever I use him. It is actually skin tight and not armored all over the place.
I want it. People shouldn't whine because the more familiar version is "default." Honestly, this alt would look better cuz her face is covered =B

The only part of that Raven suit I don't like is the boots. It's fine beyond that.
As for the game, I don't care for the art direction (hence, my earlier comments about buying alts), but the animation is decent. Better than MK9. Really, I'd say the visual of the game as a whole come out as just decent.

Visually I think the stages/environments are the best I have seen in a fighting game. The models look good too, the problems really just come in with art design. The New 52 costumes we have seen look better than most of the NRS designed costumes, for example. But graphically they all look of a high quality. I agree that some of the animations have some jank to them but I don't find it offensive and in most cases it makes sense/gives the game a rhythm. Maybe I just got used to it after watching gameplay videos for so long. Overall I think this game is very strong visually though.

They said there is a big unlock at the end so everyone will do it anyways. My bet is that is going to be how we get the New 52 costumes unlocked since they seemingly heavily feature in them...but we'll see.
Yeah, that delayed crossup is dirty indeed. Bats is looking pretty good. Too bad I'll never pick him up outside of experimentation--which I'd do for the entire cast by default anyways.
Yeah sure but i mean development wise they could have uses the time to include more chars/stages instead of this shitty mode no one cares.

Delayed crossups are always dirty and delicious. It was about all my MVC3 Ryu could do. Id tatsu all day, but eventually I'd air hadoken to whif bait and then tatsu. Batman looks like he is gonna be fun in the demo for folks to mess with...just remember that the Demo likely isn't representative of the final build though so dont get married to too many things you do in it. Never know which moves received the extra tweak before launch though I doubt delayed crossup has a thing to worry about. Just stuff like priorities and a few links are likely gonna dance around is my guess between the demo version and the final release version.
