Project X Zone Dated for June 25th (NA)

Well, still has nothing to do with the point I was trying to make with my post. :p

But it's the beginning and end of all discussion on Type-0.

They system it was released on was dead in America. It was dead, buried, and the corpse was robbed and re-buried. They made the call that porting it to PS3 or Vita or 3DS would cost more than eating the money on the localization and not produce enough sales to make it back (though I can't imagine they will think this forever).

Maybe Type-0 was a bad example. I'll admit that now. Overall, I just wanted to say SE hasn't been overly kind, but I guess we did get stuff like TheRhythm, so why not BD? That's why I'm cautiously optimistic. SE is hard to trust! lol

I'm still reeling at the fact this is being officially released in the States. That's like if JUMP Ultimate Stars had been officially released here. Unfortunately, from what I've seen of the gameplay thus far, it doesn't seem quite as interesting as Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier. The offensive thing is virtually the same it seems, but the enemies just...bloop -- whack you once with no animation. Seems more like a punching-bag game than a true RPG. In any case, the fan service is through the roof.

This is a direct response to one of the main complaints against Namco X Capcom, where you were forced to watch enemies make a punching bag out of you every. single. time. You couldn't even look away because you had to time button presses against the attack to reduce the damage you take.

Attacks from significant enemies still have special animations so it's not like there are no enemy attack animations whatsoever, but this is really just a case of trimming the fat.

I think I now know why Capcom is allowing this to be localized.

Any game where they can make Mega Man a virtual punching bag is worth it in their eyes.

Nah, X and Zero got so much love and care put into them that the only thing that is really wrong with them is they are one of the very last characters you get in the game.

Outside of that, this will be the single best X we've ever gotten since maybe X3 because of how much care and attention Monolith Soft put into him and Zero.

Wow, I'm glad to hear the amount of effort that went into Mega Man X/Zero [although it would have been nice to have classic Mega Man in there, but I understand they chose one or the other and not both].

I can definitely see them being among my most used.

Well Classic has been used decently this Gen, and Legends was used for NxC. Combine that with how loud and hard people pushed for X to be in MvC III it makes sense they would go with him for this title.
