I was just getting ready to say the same thing. I *hate* this part. It's gotten worse with so many people wanting to be first and not right. Anxiety coupled with misinformation makes a big mess.

Yeah, it's just speculation. I wasn't trying to say anything about Islam either, more just to distinguish that I think, if this is a terrorist act, it's a lot more likely to originate from outside the country than from a domestic group.

You can do a lot better for yourself by getting educated. Timothy McVeigh and Ted Kaczynski were both American, and both wanted to kill Americans.

There hasn't been an American winner since the 80's. This is an international event...arguably one of the biggest marathons in the world. I know people that were watching this race. God I hope they weren't near the finish line.

No necessarily. If it was some sort of sewer or gas-line related explosion it would make perfect sense if one part exploded and seconds later the explosion hit another area down the street. Though in that scenario you'd think it would go beyond two explosions and keep firing down the line.

I doubt this was an accident. Most likely Islamic terrorism. It makes sense for them to hit a target like this as it will create panic.

Not cool. Its likely that this is a terrorist attack but it seems more like a domestic one (mcveigh unibomber etc) but to jump to conclusions like that when we don't know anything is very unfair.

I've met some people who say that running in the Boston Marathon is one of their biggest dreams. To participate, you either need to be a highly skilled runner or do massive fundraising and essentially buy your way in. Jesus, they should be glad they weren't in this one.
