I kept pandering him for performance numbers and how well it translates into what we see on screen. I wanted to know if anything had changed from the leaked specs we had in the original PDF floating around.

A week after the PS4 press conference he cracked and admitted that beta kits were running hotter than they wanted. He claimed the teams is experiencing headaches trying to get all the pieces to fit together in a timely fashion. The last thing he told me was, "Performance, at this moment, is the least of our concerns."

I know this sounds like some sort of fanfic, but I am sure someone or the other can back me up on if they have the courage to do so.

Also, temper your expectations for Ryse. The animation system is supposedly janky. It's not a Kinnect title only btw, it has been converted into a full featured AAA game so that is something atleast.

This is huge. Now I'm kind of skeptical of buying a Durango at launch. Considering the RRoD fiasco. Will probably wait a few months to see if the units have any hardware issues

Remember folks who are buying a PS4, these exclusive maybe timed so you may not miss out anyway. Bioshock, Mass Effect and etc are examples.

Hmm Bioshock was what a 10 -11 month wait? and ME a couple of years my thoughts are if I don't play a game on or near launch I can give that game a miss. By the time it comes around there are probably 4 other games you want to play.

Heck even 6 months is too long to wait for a game I want to play now. And I'm sure both MS and Sony know that.

And that's why I usually tend to get all the consoles. Less waiting in situations like this.

I've always found it a little crazy that a company as big as Microsoft can have so little in terms of first party developers. They have 343, Lionhead, Turn10, the mess that is Rare, and a bunch of Kinect/shovel ware crap. I can't believe they didn't have the foresight to recognize that there'd be a quantity problem if any of their studios had any production issues. Actually, given their focus on entertainment functionality, KInect, and general downward spiral as a company the last couple years, I guess I can. It's just disappointing. Even if all those studios did get their games out on time, it's not that great of output. Just reaping what they sowed, I guess.
