Ugh, I can do without the overblow forced-epicness. Who thinks playing video games makes them *great*? did they hire that "I'm a gamer" guy from the youtubes?

I'd rather a clever ad campaign than one that was just full of itself with 'gamer pride'

The getting away with murder part reads in poor taste, but perhaps not so in the ad. Would like to see the full ad, hope for a lot of gameplay though.

Edit: now that I think about it that phrase is a common figure of speech so perhapsc that is the tone

That gif... I can't. xD

Great job DemonNite. What you did is probably going to be ten times better than whatever Sony has up their sleeves.

I'm quite indifferent about "Greatness Awaits". I'm just hoping that the commercials are done well, and that they are plentiful when major games come out.

haha thanks. I don't know if this rumour is true (first I've heard of it) but its not my department, so... :)

Yep, just like many have said already, this has a strong "Double Life" vibe. I like it.

Edit: Also like DemonNite's version!!

We hear a distant screech – and in the far background some windows blow out from the sound. Suddenly, two people sprint the opposite way covered in yellow paint.

Lol. They never learn. Show the games, show people playing the games, don't show artsy weird stuff no-one understands.

The only reason I will watch Champions Leauge final. Guess this will not be such a pain as it was with the Wii U (X Factor UK, haha).

Sounds great.

looks like they are going this style:

Double Life

I hope so, that's poetry right there. Still gives me chills.

transcript:
For years, I've lived a double life.
In the day, I do my job
I ride the bus, roll up my sleeves with the hoi polloi.
But at night, I live a life of exhilaration,
of missed heartbeats and adrenalin.
And, if the truth be known, a life of dubious virtue.
I won't deny it I've been engaged in violence, even indulged in it.
I've maimed and killed adversaries and not merely in self-defence.
I've exhibited disregard for life, limb and property,
and savoured every moment.
You may not think it, to look at me,
but I have commanded armies and conquered worlds.
And though in achieving these things I've set morality aside,
I have no regrets.
For though I've led a double life, at least I can say:
I've lived.

Sounds like we're aren't going to be in full on-PS3 abstract territory, but damn close. Overbearing pretension appears to be the name of the game with Sony's console marketing.

they had a good thing with live in your world, play in ours. i don't understand why they felt it needed to change from generation to generation.

fuck, just bring that back, showcase games like those ps2 ads, and they'll have at least all the dollars.

Yeah, there is greatness this yes.

The Last of Us, Beyond Two Souls, GT6, GTA V.
All of them on the PS3...

PS4 offerings are slim (I am interested in the new infamous, but that was on the PS3 a 2miilion seller, Knack also looks interesting, for $15).
