If this is true and it hold out like that ( I still have doubts) then this game would go from 7/10 interest/ sometime later to a DAY 1 instantly brought with my PS4, that is great news to me.

Damn, some great talent working on this. Everything about Driveclub sounds great, and the visuals looks amazing. I'm a bit wary about how the DLC will play out but I'll be picking this up regardless.

The only racing game I was interested in was MidnightClub 2 because it was open world and you could drive through the city and do crazy shit. The comps were fun to play with as well.

Honestly I've read Evolution speak about this game many times and I still have no idea if it's open world or track based, but I'm leaning towards track based.

Game looks great, I have this on pre order and looking forward to it.
I hope with the next batch of screens we get some more gameplay screens, not posed photo mode shots from extreme angles, just behind the car with some nice scenery would be fine.

You're going to rarely see racing developers release plain gameplay shots. Racing games more than any other benefit from seeing cars from certain angles due to the way the lighting bounces off of them.

If you're talking graphics wise then I can't agree with you.
This is a massive step up from current-gen racers.
I actually have more faith in Evolution in making a good game. The Motorstorm franchise was far and away my favorite racing series this gen.
The kinds of shit that was just flying around your screen and going on all at once in Apocalypse was amazing. They have some exceptional artists there, and they always nailed the mechanics in each game, especially Pacific Rift. I'm personally relieved that Drive Club won't be super simulator like GT is, and I think because of this Evolution will better capture that feel of driving.

Sony usually drops bombs around a month before E3 leading up to their conference. About 1-2 weeks before, expect some game announcements. I'm pretty sure they announced stuff leading up to their E3 conference for the past 2-3 years.

For a good fucking reason.
They cocktease development of GT5 for years without a single defining release window (hell, not even a release year). They farted out bullshots every now and then making fans go crazy, and then still no release date. When any prying journalist asks about the release timing, Kaz replies with "well it's complete, but I just want to add that one more thing..", turning cocktease into a case of blueballs. This dragged on for another few years before anything solid came out of them. They had zero communication strategy and zero PR management. Every droplet of news was scoured over by people both journalists and non-journalists alike that was inadvertently slipped by someone related to polyphony, and only then that droplet of news made it to the mainstream news. It was the worst case of PR handing I've ever seen. It was non-existent!
Now imagine my (and others) surprise when they announce GT6 and out of nowhere include a release date IN 6 MONTHS! What the fucks! They not only mess up PS4's launch but also potentially cannibalize the sales of DriveClub. This is a circus of clowns lit on fire. It's amusing, sad and completely obnoxious. Why can't they wait for some time and let PS4 and DC breathe a little, because after all PD and Kaz love the waiting game don't they. It's all ass-backwards. GT5 should have released early and GT6 could have waited a little while longer.
Sorry for the rant. Had to get it out of my system.

DriveClub is actually X-men game.
The rubber band AI in MS is disappointing but it's hard to get better arcade action than Pacific Rift, which IMO was wonderful.

I believe rubberband AI can be implemented in a reasonable way. See most Criterion racing games.
It's obnoxious rubberband AI that I hate.
