Sony E3 press conference; June 10th 6PM PT/9PM ET

I am so terrified that Sony is going to piss it all away at E3 now.

Always Online is my primary personal concern, as the idea of having my products potentially unavailable to me sometime in the future is unacceptable, but I'm still concerned about their used games policies, even if those don't affect me all.

I am with you on both things, I also want the PSN to remain free, I don't want to pay money to be able to play online, while also having the PS+ for additional perks when I want to.

I need to be able to play Used Games, I have friends, we lend each others games, I was able to play great games due to that like Deus Ex Human Revolution & LA Noire, I don't want to miss that.

The ball is in Sony's court in a big way, so I can only hope they make the right moves and use this golden opportunity to gain a big advantage over Microsoft.

i mean the main team.isnt that the second team?

There is no "main" team, they are just composed of different people. But I remeber ND saying they all work together helping each other, so they would rather people would not see them as separate teams. But yeah by what you mean, TLoU team is the one that worked in U2 and the U3 team must be working on something else...

But anyway, even if one "team" didn't show something in 2 years, ND is still one and they gotta promote and release TLoU first and showing something new at E3 would be too soon imo. It would be better if they showed something at other event later in the year.

I think it's safe to expect more than just Square Enix in regards to third party showings.

You mean demos/announcements, or someone from the company on stage? I could definitely see Ubisoft being there, and Activison/Bungie with Destiny. Maybe even Blizzard again for Diablo or if they have something else to announce

I don't really know about Japanese companies. You'd think it will make sense for them to stand up behind Sony, but if it wasn't for them being at the PS Meeting, I would have probably guessed Capcom being partners with Microsoft.

EA and/or Bethesda are probably going to be on stage for Microsoft

I really hope Sony sheds light on their take on Used Games when they take the stage, I want to know what they are going to do, well they do the same shit as MS with the Serial Key/Fee to play or not.

They already stated their position.

Although stating it again on their E3 conference would be great.

Yeah give me DQVIII, Dark Cloud 2, Suikoden 2, Rogue Galaxy, Final Fantasy XII HD and I would cry tears of joy! Just look at this PS2 emulated HD screenshot of DQVIII:

I've played many DQ titles but VIII is absolutely my favourite. I think all Vitabro's need to take action to get this game on the Vita. What is our plan of action, GAF?

That screenshot.

I would also LOVE to have those games on my Vita (especially, DQ VIII and FFXII).

Plan of action? No idea. Are game petition threads ok here? I've never seen one. Or perhaps a poll. If they are, count me in!

But still, DQVIII is huge. I have faith they might bring it over to the Vita sometime.

It's so obvious that Miyazaki isn't directing Dark Souls 2 because he is working on Demon's Souls 2 for PS4.

So obv.

If he's working on Demon's Souls 2, then i'd expect it to be for the Vita. I can't think of any way that From would allow him to create a console version of Demon's Souls 2. And there's no way that Sony would want to piss of NAMCO since they're very close.

Could be something new. If a trailer started with "From the director of Demon's Souls," people would lose their shit.

It was there a second ago... where's my shit?

I'm more afraid of them having a lack of exclusives to show off at e3.

Isn't there someone here who has connections (with Square-Enix)? Kagari? Jeff_Rigby? Bell801?

Here, another screenshot:

Of all the things, why would you be afraid of that? lol

Because no exclusives I've seen so far from the ps4 really interests me that much. Afraid might have been the wrong word to use, I'm just hoping they have at least a few games at e3 that will make an early purchase worthwhile.
The PS4 is looking much better than the Xbone already, but that's not really saying much since the Xbone looks fucking awful.

Hilarious.

I imagine getting DQ out of Nintendo's iron grip would be pretty hard.

Well thanks Kagari for the info. Now I'm gonna cry myself to sleep tonight lol ;-). But there might still be a chance for it to appear as PS2 classic on PSN, right? Just like Fatal Frame 1+2 did even when they went to Nintendo?

Also Kagari, in a 1 to 10 scale, how big do you think is the chance for a western localized FF Type-0? Or am I opening a can of worms now?

SE hasn't done any PS2 classics so... don't get your hopes up.

As for Type-0... it's so hard to say right now. I hope they port it to PS3 at this point.

I wouldn't worry too much.

Killzone: Shadow Fall
inFamous: Second Son
Driveclub
Knack
The Witness (timed exclusive)

Is Deep Down multiplat?

Anyway, Sony has revealed several exclusives, but they have been awfully quiet the last few months and while we know their studios are working on games the question is how diverse are these games and can they not only appeals to current PS3 owners, but also 360 and Wii/WiiU owners.

The last seven years have demonstrated Sony 1) knows how to screw things up 2) know how to redeem themselves. We'll see what happens at E3.

Indeed, they have a strong lineup, I'm not denying that. It's just for me personally, it's not really anything I'm interested in. I've never really liked Infamous or Killzone, and Driveclub looks nice but I'm not a huge racer fan.
The Witness and Knack both do look promising though.

Sony's overall attitude towards the system and where they're going (supporting developers, making it all about games) has me excited about the console anyway.

I dont know about you guys but i for one welcome our new sony overlords.

Been a sony since the first playstation and have always been.

Buying more consoles made life easier for me but my love was always with sony.

They seem to be pushing all the right buttons which i freaking love.

I just need some good gameplay of killzone and drive club. Show me gameplay of infamous and make it launch windows. And have santa monica and naughty dog tease something and im sold on the new consoles( i am already )

Looking at their studios, I think we can expect something like this over the next year.

Killzone: Shadow Fall
inFamous: Second Son
Knack
Driveclub
The Witness (timed exclusive)
The Last Guadian (PS3/PS4?)
Final Fantasy Versus XIII (PS3/PS4?)
Naughty Dog
Sony Santa Monica
Sony San Diego - MLB The Show 2014
Guerrilla Games New IP - The Order?
London Studio - SingStar (EyeToy Game)
Media Molecule
Ready at Dawn - action/adventure platform
Quantic Dream - derivative of Kara demo?
Ovosonico - New IP
Q-Games

And then who knows what other surprises they have.

Someone, perhaps Kagari if she's heading to E3 could ask someone pertinent about whether Sony will ever, delve into the realm of WRPG (not fantasy).
