Also Jun more or less peaked at Adventure 1 and has been on a decline ever since with a few blips here and there (Some of the Black Knight soundtrack was okay). He has legacy with the series, but Id rather he stay far away from it.

I can't speak for anyone else, but "its pretty much the same as our last two games" is exactly what I want to hear. Essentially being Sonic colours 2 with different wisp powers would be great.

A PR dude would never say that though, youre being ridiculous.

Yeah..."new gameplay" and "new friends" probably weren't the best terms for the PR guy to use, given how poorly the franchise handled those things in the Adventure games.

Willingly to give the current Sonic Team the benefit of the doubt though. They've come a long way since then.

It's one of the things that makes it unique. Also one of the best parts of the gameplay, that heavy twitch focus.

I kinda like the mixture, it was unexpected and satisfying, but I did want them to focus on 3D more than 2D. It'd make those big overwhelming stages even more satisfying.

It was bought it on the WiiU launch then picked up the PC ver later for $10. That will likely be what I do for non exclusive Sonic games now. Did the same with Generations.

Why don't they allow Nintendo to take the helm on this game?, just lend them the license, god knows i love sonic... but as soon as i grab the controller and have a go at it i remember why i don't like his games, he controls like freshly dumped doo doo... and the collision detection... and just getting around the world... and i think i'll stop there.

Those games came out 10 years ago, on different hardware, different team, different times, made by different people. I don't think the adding of friends will instantly makes the game terrible because of past stuff that's irrelevant to this game.

The "Sonic cycle" died the second Sonic Colors came out. Generations was great, that kart racing game was good, and hell I'd even say despite all the bitching Sonic 4 was pretty good too.

Tremendous improvement over Sonic heroes - Sonic underworld era (Some people go even further back to Sonic Adventure or even 3D Blast but honestly I kind of have a nostalgic affinity for SA and don't think it's a terrible game by any means)

It's pretty fun in co-op. Shame the level tropes are bland and the bosses are fucking boring as shit to play through.

Episode 2 was better with the physics, but that doesn't mean that they were good.

Absolutely, the Wii-U is a flop but at least it's a game-centric console. A Sonic exclusive would make things so conflicting for me. I will not be purchasing an Xbox 1, no way in hell. And this really hurts me because I loved the OG Xbox, absolutely loved it. But I'm fucking done with Microsoft.

i guess its a spoiler? i'm not sure if people are sensitive to that stuff cuz its mario and it implies it in the trailer. i'm not trying to say they're the same exact world and sonic is going to visit mario, that's crazy. it's just an interesting coincidence that the zones line up like that. maybe this shows some nintendo involvement already
