Bit late. Thicker border than the one above I think.

Put up another tweet, incorporating both hashtags. I have to say I'm in awe of the momentum this thread has managed to still retain. Let's keep it going guys.

I have to go get some sleep, I've been up way too long. It's a shame the tweets are slowing down but maybe the Europeans can turn it around. Good night everyone.

Try this, closest i found to the font you're using

Snap, get me one of those with just a controller without the left piece of the handle chopped off. And make the border #a9a9a9 instead of white. I might be able to work with that.

Also, website passed 10k uniques today:

Hmm. Still not crazy about it, I think I'll stick with text for the time being.

If anyone else wants to work on something, the final image size needs to be roughly 362x86 and the colors used are #2674d9 (blue) and #a9a9a9 (gray). Font I've been using is Impact.

ANYWAY, I need a trustworthy EuroGaffer (with ample free time) to take over website updating duties so I can go to sleep. PM me if you're interested or know someone who might be. I'm getting pretty tired. lol

Tweeting stuff like this if you are top Sony exec should only be permissable if they aren't doing the DRM stuff. I can't imagine why else you would say "They're working" to get our hopes up, only to crush them.

News is we need Europe to pick up our fat American slack. Also we made it on to NBC News, if you were still sleeping for that.

Nice of you to add the finnish links I posted so fast. If you have time, could you write the "pelaaja" with a capital P. It should be "Pelaaja". Nothing major but if you want, you could fix it next time you update the press coverage list.

Cheers for the website btw, it's awesome.

Done. I did it lower case at first since that's how it was in their logo. That's really all I can do with websites written in a language I don't understand. =P

Great.

Yeah, I understand. Finnish word "pelaaja" is a direct translation of the word "gamer". Their logo is stylized in lower case but it should be written with a capital P here.

Tried looking for other finnish gaming sites but they haven't posted anything as of now. They are pretty small anyway. Pelaaja is the biggest magazine and website.

It would be a mistake for MS and Sony to try and clarify their DRM-policies at E3. They need to make things clear before E3.
Any reason for them to wait after E3 is probably a very bad one. So if neither has detailed their policies by E3 we are in for a shit ride next gen.

Not true.
Responding at E3 would be great.

Responding at E3 is great if they have good news. It would be perfect to announce with the price.

"The Playstation 4 is coming out November 5th at a price of 499.99 US dollars."

*groans*

"And absolutely no DRM on disc game purchases!"

*cheers*

I dont want to be the debbie downer, but i dont see Microsoft clearing up anything untill close to launch. They have said what has needed to be said and would prefer now to build momentum through showing games and apps.

likewise E3 may not be when Sony gives a definitive answer either. That said, if we continue to pressure them at least till E3, there will be enough internal debate stimulated for them to have a definite answer either way within the month.

I get the feeling that Sony as a company has always been divided on this issue and the Blacklash against MS was only the icing on the cake. With that as the backdrop, this small vocal outpouring (we are still extremely small fry) gives more power to get the people who were arguing for used games and lets them point to real world data and examples in their arguements.

we are fighting a good fight but dont expect it to be over anytime soon.

Alright, I gotta check out. 3:00 AM here. Hopefully I can find a European contributor (or two) for tomorrow night.

See y'all in 4 hours! =P

Updated open letter: http://gofreak-ie.appspot.com/ps4usedgames

Refreshed the tweet links for Europe.

I am thinking later today to maybe try something new, maybe a more varied tweet generator targeting a broader swathe of contacts - but still the same hashtags. Is it worthwhile spreading tweets across more contacts vs focussing on all the same ones we have to date? Or maybe focus still on one or two key ones, while mixing in a broader range of others? Like maybe generate a tweet that hits one or two core contacts + one from a list of broader contacts...

So proud of everyone dedicating their time to this. It is an important issue that will affect gamers now and in the future. Keep the momentum going!
