The Last of Us is not just the finest game that Naughty Dog has yet crafted and an easy contender for the best game of this console generation, it may also prove to be gaming’s Citizen Kane moment – a masterpiece that will be looked back upon favourably for decades.

I have stayed mostly blind on this game, but from the bits I've seen I think it'll do wonderfully. This is coming from someone who still needs to play the Uncharted series, though.

hmm if it really IS that good (like Bioshock infinate levels good which I think is one of the best games ever) I might pick it up...no reason not too

Oh come on now. I get that this is a positive review, but it almost looks like a PR piece by how much boundless positivity it has.

This review really doesn't give us a single piece of criticism. And when they go by "absolute masterpiece remembered for decades...the best game of this console generation"...that's clearly a bit much.

Empire Magazine isn't exactly known for their hard hitting journalism. Reminds me of the game reviews in Maxim magazine which has like a 2 month lead time before press-so you know their "reviews" aren't based off of anything but speculation from a trailer.
