Mario Golf: World Tour for 3DS delayed until 2014

Considering how packed the lineup is this year, and that they confirmed Zelda for November, no problem actually.

What else is still coming? Honest question. Three games during the holiday period don't really make a packed line-up.

Six games for 3DS for fall:

Pokémon
Legend of Zelda
Sonic The Lost World
Mario Party
Etrian Odyssey Untold (not for EU)
Phoenix Wright

five games for 2014:

Mario Golf
Yoshi's Island
Bravely Default
Layton 6
Smash Bros
and maybe Devil Survivor 2 BR

What we need is more localizations. Fantasy Life, Layton vs PW, Dragon Quest VII, MH4 all of them are nowhere to be seen. I hope Nintendo has actual plans for them.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
Great end of year for 3DS.

Sucks that Mario Party only has local multi (unless they announced differently recently). That would have been a buy with online. Mario Golf better have online.

I thought they already announced that Mario Golf would be online.

This is so disappointing, I was looking forward to playing it soon. Oh well, I guess Mario & Luigi is what I'll pick up instead.... not like that a bad thing at all though.

WAIT A GODDAMN SECOND. Yoshi's New Island isn't in 2013? Then why the fuck isn't Yarn Yoshi out in 2013?

Fine by me. I can't remember the last time I bought this many games for one system in one year.

Hell, push another title to 2014 while you're at it.

One word.
Pokemon.

That is literally all Nintendo needs. Their most powerful handheld franchise bar none. A brand new full 2D old school Zelda is literally just bonus at that point.

Well this explains its mysterious absence from the various 3DS trailers in the wake of E3, i'm a bit disappointed but it's probably for the best, Mario Tennis seemed to be a bit divisive and I wouldn't want a half baked outing for my much preferred Mario Golf.

And now there's plenty of time to make Shyguy playable.

Next year will be the Year of Yoshi, maybe.

As far as stuff I want?

6/25: Project X Zone
7/16: Shin Megami Tensei IV
8/11: Mario & Luigi Dream Team
8/13: Rune Factory 4
10/12: Pokemon X/Y
11/??: A Link Between Two Worlds
??/??: Phoenix Wright 5
??/??: Etrian Odyssey Untold

This is a pretty healthy lineup. And that's before you take into account the games on the other 5-6 systems I own.

Huh, I wonder how long they have been working on this game. I mean, they are able to release some "huge-scale" games before Mario Golf 3DS, and these games were announced after Mario Golf 3DS' announcement.

I don't think adding a RPG mode is difficult, you have the models, the characters, only missing a school/club map and be done, top down view so no problems with the camera.

This delay makes me think it will be that.
please be the rpg mode

Either this, or they should be adding in more characters (with their own "challenge/story mode" a la Super Sluggers) to at least extend replay value in another way.

But seriously. RPG Mode, please. I ended up passing by Mario Tennis just because it didn't seem to have nearly enough content to make it worth my purchase.

I'm ok with this. 3DS already has a lot of interesting game, this will give me breath to purcahse and play them.

If this means the game is pushed back because of a tight release schedule for the 3DS and Camelot is starting development for new Golden Sun, then i'm more than ok with it.

I'm actually relieved. There's gonna be so much to play this fall with the new systems coming out, GTA5, Pokemon, Zelda, etc.

Still really looking forward to playing it though.

Not a problem. I still have Shin Megami Tensei IV, Mario & Luigi, Batman 3DS, Pokémon and Zelda to look forward too. 3DS needs some games for 2014 after all.

Thought this would be a fall release for the 3DS, but the latest investor briefing shows that the game has apparently been pushed to 2014. :( Was looking forward to it, but I guess there's still plenty of other great 3DS-games this year.

Ha, I like the Zelda schedule. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Toward The End of This Year.

Europeans had to get screwed over on something. We've been getting the better deal for everything else this year and it's a scary departure from the norm that nobody wanted.

According to the investor thing you guys are growing the fastest.

Mainland Europe does all the grunt work for the UK. Without them we'd be getting games last. Nintendo is barely a thing over here, really.

Maybe I'll send a basket of fruit as a thank you.

I can see nintendos offices

1"EA isnt making games for wiiu, what will we do about sports titles"
2"Already released a half asses tennis game, lets delay golf for 3ds"
1"Better announce a new marios sports mix and strikers at E3 then?
2"lol no, golf 2014"

there has been some growth for 3DS in the UK in the last few months, market share has gone from 19% in Q1 to 23% in March and 26% in April. if you follow the weekly PAL charts you'd have noticed that games have started to hang around the charts longer. on the other hand its still just a small part of a severely depressed market, but its still an improvement and one i bet will continue with Animal Crossing.

What the f**k is this 'Toward The End of This Year' bs?

Better not be Fire Emblem'ing again.

Its like they pick the games I'm most looking forward to and muck them round. Surprised Pokemon hasn't followed suit.
